saorise kino
never seen the actual flick, but she looks hot in the promotional stuff

I remember reading that book series as a kid, and then dropping it because one of them was really stupid. They have an entire book that's about what happens before they go underground, and it all focuses on some comatose lady spouting prophecies in her sleep. It climaxes with them capturing all the dogs to exterminate them because she said "no dogs" in her sleep, but they're saved at the last second because she wakes up and says "The nightmare was about the future having no dogs" and then the book spent an entire chapter on the characters concluding that religion and mindless faith is bad. It finally ends with a flash forward like 50 years later where the characters actually go underground and the entire event is skipped over.

>"A family-Friendly Adventure"
Not how I remember it. They were living in a vault. They were vault dwellers. Their water chip/life support/nuclear reactor/generator broke down. It felt very post apocalyptic.

it was pretty decent for a young adult movie, I wish it took off so they could make all the sequels

good one user

Not sure if it's underrated, it's on tv almost every Halloween. Still kino though

Pretty good one actually.

I feel like there's a weirdly large number of underrated saoiarsieoue kinos, especially considering her age

Attached: hanna.jpg (800x448, 68K)

because she's the best

this is a big one in my mind. such a cool flick, and it mostly ended up being bargain bin fodder.

Attached: wild hunt.jpg (540x360, 53K)

Attached: addamsfamilyvalues.jpg (1080x1612, 416K)

ehhh, I dunno, I think that one was rated appropriately. Stellar cast, amusing overall, some genuinely funny bits, plot kinda drags.

Nah, it's superb. And way better than the first film.

Attached: A4DD7755-E331-4BA9-8EB4-B687A4F2FBE5.jpg (960x1440, 335K)

>way better than the first film
that part I agree with

This flick right here. One of the funniest comedies of the 00's, was generally ignored (most likely distributors being skittish about the subject matter).
Basic premise: character is a veteran auteur director in the general vein of a fillini or herzog, who insists on the sanctity of his "uncomprising artistic vision", with the catch being that he's a porn director. but he goes batshit over a heavens gate style big budget flop and then collides with the harsh shoestring-budget reality of the internet era. shenanigans, etc.

Gonna rewatch this right now

bump

Attached: tkoacb-pic-1[1].jpg (724x1024, 145K)

i was meh on this until the ending, which i loved. one of these days i need to rewatch.

I went to see that in the theatres for some reason even though I've never read the source material. It's rated G like a kids movie but it really doesn't feel like one.

Yes

This movie has the most painful-to-watch deus ex machina of any movie I've seen

Your priorities with that film are out of wack.

Attached: 81UoLziAh8L._SY445_.jpg (313x445, 25K)

This one was actually great

Bill Murray is reddit.

seeing this cover made me think of this one for some reason

Attached: he never died.jpg (1200x1724, 470K)

Maybe in the 90s-early 2000s. Most people now consider it a Halloween tradition. I see Sanderson sisters costumes every year and the DVD is available year round at Target.

aaaaand this one reminded me of pic related
very few movies are good *because* of brittany murphy, but she randomly appeared in a hell of a lot of good movies

Attached: freeway.jpg (719x345, 32K)

she was in a ton of decent stuff at her prime. god bless her

>HEY
>YOUR ENWEE WOWINS

was ricci always THAT hot?
i swear i didn't noticed her as a kid, but now it's so obvious

yes

Yes, she was always that hot.

Yes it's stupid and episodic, and Peter Sellers's autism on the set destroyed any chance of a coherent story due to having to write him out, but if you think about it, it kinda laid the groundwork for every modern blockbuster:

>Quips every few seconds
>Acknowledging absurdities to seem ''self-aware'' and excuse them
>Ridiculously expensive set-pieces for throw-away scenes
>gratuitous big-name cameos
>lots of explosions
>Grizzled old veteran has to come out of retirement
>''unexpected'' villain reveal
>Villain is a nerdy insecure white male
>Hot woman cast as 'ugly' woman
>Disproportionate cast billing
>Elaborate theme song

Should be shown in film schools. Also very clearly an inspiration for Austin Powers, even more than the real 007 films.

Attached: casinoroyale.jpg (1451x1604, 304K)

>Hot woman cast as 'ugly' woman
that's the very opposite of what modern blockbusters do

Pretty much everyone I know watches this movie for Halloween

He was legitimately great in that movie. By which I mean - grizzled guy grumbling his way through a script fit the movie perfectly.

aaaah zombies deserves way more credit than it got

Attached: aaaah not real monsters actually its zombies.jpg (352x500, 56K)

>The Specials is severely underrated
>Mystery Men is severely overrated

Attached: I thought they played instruments.jpg (420x368, 48K)

Well, for a while there was a trend in romantic comedies or Oscar Bait-biopics to cast hot actresses and make them 'ugly' by having them wear glasses/frumpy clothes.

CR casts Deborah Kerr as a madame for a group of female spies who the script treats as if she's an aging grotesque who Sir James is repulsed by, but she still looks hot.

Attached: deborahkerrcasino.jpg (360x450, 28K)

>she's an aging grotesque
Seems pretty on point to me.

Women that age should be pushing dignified high fashion and keeping their clothes on.

>better than pan's labyrinth by a mile

Attached: devils backbone.jpg (304x445, 26K)

>better than blair witch by a mile

Attached: last broadcast.jpg (250x321, 16K)

It's not phenomenal but considering that this was a low budget horror film about bigfoot in an age of demon dolls and spirit monsters, it was actually pretty damn good with some genuinely scary moments

Attached: exists.jpg (220x327, 21K)

I keep meaning to check that out, and now I probably will
reminds me, Monsters caught me completely off guard with how good it was

Attached: Monsters movie.jpg (1200x500, 85K)

yeah, im amazed at how characters simply reacting to spooky shit the way real life people would goes so far in imbuing the story with real immersion

this is an unusual film. it stars Samuel L. Jackson playing a character other than Samuel L. Jackson.

Attached: hey caveman.jpg (350x490, 42K)

Attached: taste like bird but talk like people.jpg (1280x1813, 251K)

almost had a heart attack the first time i heard the text to speech voice. dumb ending though.

dumb endings are a minimum requirement of found footage flicks

considering how big cyberpunk is in general, it's amazing this flick doesn't get more love

Attached: STRANGE DAYS.jpg (1484x2226, 202K)

It's criminal how few have even seen this
>wimpy tax collector is forced to sleep in haunted temple by sneering villagers
>he meets a beautiful girl
>turns out girl is a slave ghost tasked with seducing and feeding travellers to ancient demon
>ghost falls in love with taxmsn
>ancient demon gets angry and marries her off to lord of hell
>taxman embarks to free ghost girl from hell itself

It's so fucking good.

Attached: chinese ghost story.jpg (337x475, 56K)

this but unironically but freejack

oh and remake is utter shit, stick to 80's original

An excellent film, although Potato Lewis was an odd choice for a "hot" pop star.

>Freejack
my user, right here

jesus christ

no disagreement there, but she's certainly suited to being the crazy ex in the 2nd half

eh, such are the perils of YA literature. OP was still a pretty entertaining flick.

there's a really weird disconnect between this movie and all the wacky shit he made later on

Attached: skin.jpg (1118x752, 249K)

Attached: Inkmovieposter.jpg (262x381, 18K)

She certainly does crazy well. Prime Angela Bassett could have made more sense as the pop star.

there's a whole subcategory of Forgotten Romero Movies that would fit in here

Attached: knightriders.jpg (780x427, 105K)

eh... He Never Died wasn't really that great

Attached: Screenshot_20190618-224746_Google.jpg (678x957, 283K)

ah, I liked it. started off kinda lackluster (the whole first half honestly was a little bland) but once it had a little more emotional weight in the 2nd bit it clicked. the bits where he goes off the end and he's screaming at God and God Doesn't Answer were what cemented it as kino for me.

>Hell Comes To Frogtown
low budget genre trash, silly as fuck, but rowdy roddy is never not entertaining

SISTER ACT

Great cast, great story, great direction, great soundtrack obviously.

DOG SOLDIERS

great cast, great story, great direction, great soundtrack obviously, wait you can say that about any movie can't you

Attached: dog-soldiers.jpg (1000x1500, 437K)

Fuck yeah. One of my favorite movie endings, ever.

youtube.com/watch?v=VPpd-6X3tEo

aw yeah campfire philosophy
youtube.com/watch?v=0O75VFBvXtQ

ok, sure, but it's not underrated. that flick was huge when it came out. everybody saw it, it was a standard.

Attached: TrollHunter.jpg (220x323, 104K)

Don't get me wrong, I thought it was okay. I just wouldn't really call it 'severely underrated'. I think it's a niche taste, and for everyone that loves it there'll be two people that hated it (which actually matches the RT score pretty well).

fair enough, I can see where you're coming from there. honestly that's probably most of the flicks here though, "severely underrated" usually translates to either "I thought this was great, and everybody else thought it sucked" or "I thought this was great, and I'm the only person that watched it".

You and I might be the only ones who have seen this incredible film.

knightriders and martin are a couple of my favorite romero flicks. with all due respect to various times of day of the dead

this one was pretty great yeah, at least for a single viewing. not a ton of story, but any movie that can do something with the monster genre I haven't seen before gets a nod by default.

knightriders is whatever. martin is legitimately the best thing he ever made.

>LOVE! IT'S LIKE A HURRICANE
>IT HAPPENS IN FLORIDA
>AND IT DESTROYS EVERYTHING
that song was stuck in my head for like a year after I saw that movie. now it is stuck in my head again.

You should see her in Mermaids.

>knightriders is whatever

of the two dozen beowulf movies that got released in the last couple decades, this one was the best
yes, counting 13th warrior. although that is also a pretty good one
and if anybody mentions the christopher lambert one they have to spend the rest of their lives sharing a one bedroom apartment with grendel's mother

Attached: beowulf.jpg (250x369, 32K)

Freeways are unknown but not underrated. Yea Forums is learning. Bokeem is also a treasure.

do tell

Attached: Freeway-brittany-murphy.jpg (720x540, 23K)

that was a nice sersha movie
I'd like to add this, a bit crazy one.

The book was way better

I hope you fucking die

i liked that one too but i'm a sucker for anything in that genre. especially battle beyond the stars

Attached: Poster+art.jpg (1000x563, 217K)

Nice I must have missed that one, I'll give it a watch.

Attached: 220px-Windycityheat.jpg (220x311, 33K)

out of all of those star wars rip offs it's hands down my favorite, then ice pirates, and spacehunter.

I love Ice Pirates. The black guy in that movie is hilarious.

>he did not enjoy a post-apoc beowulf with pounding techno music and backflips every fifth minute
I don't care what the rest of the people in the world say, that movie is fun.

Attached: ep222-beowulf99.jpg (747x479, 64K)

Of all the... interesting movies Albert Pyun has made about cyborgs doing kickboxing, well, um...
To put it this way, if you enjoyed Cyborg and Nemesis then Knights might be worth a watch as well.

Is it really underrated if it has such a huge following? I mean, they even did a special celebration anniversary concert thing for the movie. Which is pretty impressive for a movie hated by critics.

It was a cult film for a long time

booooooringggg

no

This has the most entertaining ending of any horror movie ever made
>Protagonist gets voodoo magic and sends the bad guys to hell

Best Christmas movie coming through.

But thats not Gremlins

I saw this movie when i was about 7. What a scary mindfuck

>don't bury me
>i'm not dead

That wasn't at all underrated. It was grossly overrated. It's a student edgemeister film.
>dude man the autistic ptsd hero bro
>let's get the most unathletic man ever to play him
>dude bro then we'll like have him imagine people are bleeding all the time because that's totally what ptsd is like dudebroman

It could've been a really good film, too.

It's a fucking stupid film.

I went and saw that because Ministry was on the soundtrack before they blew up.

That was a great film.

dude, don't even joke about that

I almost didn't sit through this movie. An ex thought the cover was cute then after the movie she hated it and I loved it.

Think about how much of this movie is coming true

I really liked this book as a kid - no idea they made a movie out of it

They should make this into a game.
just that sport. There aren't enough fictional sports games.

I was just thinking about this movie today. Saw it many years back but I really enjoyed it.

One of my favorites

Fido is the best zombie movie that nobody ever talks about.

This is so much better than Bobcat Goldfuck's shitty Bigfoot abortion.

Ink is a terrible movie. A terrible, terrible movie. But I get drunk and cry at the scene where the dad pretend fights the monsters in the field to save his daughter over and over and over again. Fuck.

boys a cute. A CUTE.

Watched it a few years ago. It was fun.
