IT'S NOT AL ANYMORE
IT'S NOT AL ANYMORE
Why is it whenever someone points out the horrendous product placement in this movie they always point to this scene, which was clearly supposed to be a joke if Al Pacinos reaction to it after watching it is any indication, and not the much worse cruise ship scene? Furthermore, why did I even bother typing this shit out in the first place
ITS DUNK!
ITS A WHOLE NEW GAME
based imbecile
someone had dirt on him
thee Rosato brothers.
>Al Pacino is...AL CAPONE

I ONLY TAKE LOADS DIRECTLY INTO MY MOUTH YOU FAGGOT!
why did you do it al :( before this it was always deniro as the pathetic clown and al as the based one with taste
kids from seven to seventeeno
His money manager was convicted of running a ponzi scheme, ripping off Al, among other high profile clients, to the tune of several million. This was him trying to recoup his losses.
the fuck? Al was always the no.2 to De Niro
sure he started well with the godfathers, but look at pacino's run from dog day afternoon to the early 90s when he made glengarry glen ross
nearly 18 years where the only good movie he made was Scarface (and even that was only good in a trashy kind of way)
compared to de niro who never had a run that bad, not even close, until he started phoning it in during the late 90s
look at de niro's run from mean streets in 1973 until mistress in 1992, not one "bad" movie, at the lowest point he made one or two mediocrities in between multiple masterpieces
bob's resume shits all over al's
SAY HELLO TO MY CHOCOLATE BLEND
pacino was always the better actor you redditor
he did multiple live shows
nigga nobody gives a shit about gay ass theatre it shouldn't even count as acting do you consider dave chappelle the best actor in the world? foh
This movie sucked entirely but this scene was underrated kino however.
DUNKA DUNKA DUNKA DUNKA DUNKA DUNKA DUNKA DUNKA DUNKA
SOMETHING'S BREWING AT D&D
DUNKIRKCCINO
The whole point of this scene is for the audience to have that reaction.
"Al Pacino in a dunkin' donuts commercial, what a sell out who got to my boy?"
It was a fucking gag.
Honestly would have spit out my coffee if this was a real parody.
ITS SNEEDACINO (formerly al)
10 times funnier than anything in the actual movie
If this was a cutaway gag it would be top tier. It is attached to some shit movie that I forgot the name of though.
Sandler was involved and probably wrote this if Pacino did it.
I'd honestly watch a movie about Al's failing film career and his attempts to be hip with the young generations versus whatever the fuck Jack n Jill was supposed to be.
>Al was always the no.2 to De Niro
Pacino has always been a better actor than De Niro. Sure, De Niro may have started in better films, but that doesn't mean anything. It's like saying Arnold Schwarzenegger is better actor than Marlon Brando because he has better filmography
based
Pacino was only truly great in the godfather where he displayed some level of subtlety and acted with his eyes and minor changes in tone or small physical ticks
once he became a coke junkie it was one speed: shouting
and it works fine for a lot of roles
more versatile than you'd think
perfect in Heat, and Scarface
even Devil Advocate
but De Niro in Taxi Driver, King of Comedy, Goodfellas and Raging Bull shows more range than Pacino could dream about, and that's just 4 of his movies, I could name 10 more
ignore them. they're probably dunking on DeNiro for reasons that have nothing to do with his acting.
as actors, al and bob are actually pretty equal. taxi driver is better than anything al has ever done but al's performances from the 70s beat all of deniro's. al's had higher peaks (mostly), deniro was consistent for longer. both are pretty embarrassing now but are all time greats in general.
deniro's more subtle and quiet an actor, al's more charismatic. al is easier to appreciate on a first viewing- his acting is more in your face impressive.
Yah because the gap between Pacino and DeNiro is exactly the same as the gap between Brando and Schwarzenegger.
Yea Forums is such trash.
The real contest is who has sunk lower?
I think Bob's really done nothing but shit since maybe Jackie Brown
Al occasionally still does something interesting... plus I guess he's into theatre so we don't see a lot of what he's making
I wish he'd change his look though... guy has aged horrible... the scarfs and the goatee and the wild hair... wtf... have some dignity lad
I think it would have come off as that if they didn't use a real brand therefore making it literal product placement even if it is a joke.
>deniro's more subtle and quiet an actor, al's more charismatic. al is easier to appreciate on a first viewing
I remember when Heat came out and some people were saying Pacino completely owned De Niro and made him look like an amateur actor because he was a scene stealing lunatic
on re-watch it's clear De Niro is doing his job perfectly just in a less noticable way
Which is honestly more admirable... having to play to restrained and un-emotive counterbalance to Pacino's insanity knowing he'll get all the glory
damn, RD Jr looking ROUGH
Oh bobs sunk much lower. especially now, he's embarrassing. pacinos aging with much more dignity.
but low points matter less than high points when it comes to actors. both of them have enough high points that they'll live on.
Wait a second, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are two different people?
Dunkirkccino kino right here
yeah, people are pretty bad at judging acting I feel. it's usually about how BIG an actor can go or how much weight they can pack on or how showy they can be. actually being able to create and communicate a character while being natural on screen is much tougher and more impressive.
plus some actors are just naturally much more of a presence, even when playing subdued roles. guys like pacino, Nicholson, etc... no way they could have been in Taxi Driver or the King of Comedy because no one would have ever bought them as a socially awkward, forgettable, average loser.
neither type is inherently better than the other.
even other actors or people in the industry a performance on how "big" it is
You have to "see" the acting
You need to scream, suffer, cry, shout, die... and have a face wrought with emotion
Usually the winners at awards shows are these tour-de-force roles where you need to have drool running down your chin and bloodshot eyes
Although the best performance I've seen this decade was Casey Affleck in Manchester by the Sea, which I was glad to see actually rewarded with the Oscar
Best performance I've ever seen is Isabelle Huppert in The Piano Teacher
Both times it was about restraining emotion and not letting it out rather than going full Leo in The Revenant
