I just started watching this show. I finished season 1 last night. Dutch Boy is my favorite character.

JUST ANOTHER DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

You are like 5 years late buddy

First for Mad Queen a cute

There is no way tgis many ppl remember just another day from that scene, wasn't it only in the tv broadcast? Why the fuck is ot getting spammed so much?

Because TV shows can only be watched and discussed when they're newly released. Must be why we talk about the Wire and the Sopranos 24/7 on here.

I don't know, I just hear "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY" and "LIVING THE GOOD LIFE."

Nothing will beat watching Vic’s confession for the first time, most cathartic moment in tv history. Seasons 5, 6, and 7 are the best things to grace the television screen.
>Lem saying goodbye
>Shane killing him
>Vic torturing Guardo
>Shane confessing
>Vic and Shane going against one another
>the immunity deal
>Vic’s phonecall
>Shane’s death
>that ending scene

Run before you get spoiled. This show has the greatest end-game and final three seasons you'll ever see, and the ending itself is universally considered the greatest in any medium. RUN

Ok, I already hid that one guy's comment(no offense) because it looked like list of spoilers so I'll take your advice. I really don't want to know what happens. This show is great and I want to experience it.

What ep was Shane confessing in?

Hey Mal, does your sisters ass really taste as sweet as Alvarez he says it does? He wants to know what your momma is putting in the corn muffins!

Shane doesn't confess, Vic does. I think it's in Possible Kill Screen, and Chiklis should've won an award for that performance.

Pretty sure it’s 6x05 and 6x06, he confesses to Mara and Vic

Because Sopranos is a kino show, with lots of little intrigues and character plot points intertwining like pottery, topped off with endless mount of memes.
Shield on the other hand was the most linear shit ever. You watched it once and never bothered to see it again, like breaking bad, while sopranos each time you would rewatch you would see something else

Vic Mackey did LITERALLY nothing wrong

I’m referring to him telling the truth about what happened to Lem

It's a slice of life mob drama, and it doesn't even have a plot most of the time. It's just Tony chugging gabagool and plugging some skanks while they prance around with their tits out for 1 hour.

>Little to no Shield/Sopranos/Wire/Sons of Anarchy/Mad men/Boardwalk Empire/Deadwood/Breaking Bad threads
>Endless Game of Thrones/Star Wars/Marvel/Disney threads

Shit taste indeed

Attached: 1560746244840.jpg (600x553, 91K)

Quality shows don't get threads on this board. It's flavor of the month garbage and the usual capeshit mixed in with GoT where no one actual enjoys the show but join the circlejerk anyway.

>It's Vic pulls some bullshit last minute and saves everyone's asses from the DA episode

What makes the last three seasons so good is that everything falls apart and there's no way out. It's called having an engaging and exciting narrative.

Anthony Anderson really impressed me on that show.

>Sons of Anarchy

Funny how they managed to turn him into an intimidating villain. Forest Whittaker was also amazing as Jon Kavanaugh and had some of the most memorable scenes in the series.

I never watched this show for whatever reason. Does it still hold up well?

>"Vic Mackey kills cops! He... he deals drugs! He beats suspects! You know what he did yesterday? He... he screwed my ex-wife with the sole purpose of making this investigation seem like a personal vendetta. He may have assassinated a gang leader. And that's just all in one day. I wonder what he's going to do today. I wonder what he's going to do tomorrow."
>"This guy... this guy is just pissing... he's pissing all over us. He's pissing on you. What does it taste like? Chief, what does it taste like, 'cause you know what, it tastes like piss to me."

Attached: PISSING.jpg (480x360, 8K)

Yes, but it could never be made today. The PC police would lose their fucking shit at all the blatant racism and implications of a white hit squad beating the fuck out of minorities and being portrayed as sympathetic.

HE'S PISSING

Attached: pissing intensifies.jpg (1920x1080, 875K)

Sounds based. I may have to check it out. I’m pretty sure I watched some of S1 back then but can’t remember much.

IT TASTES LIKE... PISS! TO ME

Attached: 1558777525281.jpg (590x394, 52K)

I wish someone would make a caption image/gif of Shane telling Antwon "Now where is the respect in that? Huh?" when he tries to piss off Antwon. Would make for a great reaction image.

Saw it when it came out, just rewatched it after the blu-ray release and it holds up really well. This was one of the earlier 'edgy' shows that pushed the limits on cable, and you can tell.

Though by today's standards it strangely feels both not edgy enough and too edgy at the same time at times, with the violence and brutality being way below what's even casually thrown around now (though the way they make you feel the rage that makes the characters do that violence is much better executed in contemporary shows imo.), but the non-PC stuff being in extremely unacceptable-tier today, with criminals being treated as the bottom-tier garbage of humanity that they are.

Even the female characters aren't annoying, or when they are they're not supposed to be sympathetic (e.g. several females exploit their status as a literal self-described "walking pussy" to get out of shit, but neither them nor the guys falling for it are presented positively for it), and while the latina chick they add in the later seasons does get away with huge amounts of shit she shouldn't be able to get away with, the show makes her out to be... maybe not a bad person for doing it, but more like the undeserving benefactor of a system that isn't working right. Where as today, you would expect that same character to be presented as having to fight untrue stereotypes or whatever, in The Shield they just straight-up go yeah she shouldn't be a cop but she gets to be one anyway because she's a woman and the men she works with want to bang her, and e.g. how she manages to wriggle out of getting canned because those men do retarded shit to give her leverage.

Anyway. It's a really good show, but reading these threads will genuinely ruin it for you because so much of what makes it great is the tension of not knowing what a character's going to do in a situation.

The greatest shitposting story ever told on television, dont think I've ever had as much fun in live threads as I've had in SoA live threads

It's pretty based. The show has some incredibly graphic content aside from the racism that would never be allowed today, like Vic interrogating a pedophile and offering to let him fuck his preteen daughter (played by his biological daughter), getting offended that he's discriminating against her by not accepting, and then beating the fuck out of him with a phone book.

>and offering to let him fuck his preteen daughter
SUCK ON HER TITS A LITTLE

Pretty sure the daughter was the creator's kid

>Does Yea Forums have the worst taste in shows on the internet?
Objectively

Nah, that's the wife. Cassidy was played by Chiklis' daughter, which makes that scene creepy as fuck.

It was the actors daughter
But the wife was the creators real wife.

It's really fascinating how the show was made, I mean they went out to legitimate gang areas to film usually using real gang members who were more than happy to be shown getting arrested on the show.
The entire run of the series Micheal Chilkis, Goggins, and everyone else on the strike team were treated like royalty in the hoods and ghettos around LA with gang members asking for autographs and pics with em.

There was a lot of underage/pedophillic shit
>literally an episode called cherrypoppers where an Asian lady films underage Asian girls
>black criminal films 10 and 11 year olds fucking each other
>12 year old gets raped by armadillo
>byz lats ganged fucked his friend’s 14 year old sister
>Shane fucks an underage black prostitute

That scene would be a meme if the show was more popular. Walton Goggins screaming
>"Oh yeah? Well you know what? With all that money, all that power? At the end of the day you're still just a nigger. With a faggot-nigger son! And where's the respect in that? HUH? Where's the respect in that?!
at some black dude is instant Yea Forums material.

The Shield would be impossible to make today. Leaving aside 90% of the criminals being niggers and spics, Julien's character arc would make critics heads explode. They would shit the bed over Claudette not being perfect.

>tfw Billings appeared on SWAT
twitter.com/ShawnRyanTV/status/1124146915682086912

Too bad that show is garbage.

The first season was ok but damn the second season sucks. It's gone full SJW.

Attached: 1558979765921.jpg (720x540, 76K)

>why does Yea Forums talk about a show that just ended vs one that ended years ago

Yeah, that's a tough one.

The Shield is overrated, though, desu. Great first season and a good last season and a few good arcs spread throughout, but by and large the family shit weighed it down.

How is the bluray version?

That chick is the definition of butterface. That scene where they show her 10/10 body in panties and then show her face is one of the greatest deceptions in TV history.

It's good. They managed to keep the original style of the show, but there's some visible cameras and so on with the new aspect ratio.

Attached: the.shield.s07e13.1080p.bluray.x264-rovers.mkv_snapshot.jpg (1920x1080, 638K)

Well it is the creators wife

They edited the "succ it" scene

PREVIOUSLY ON THE SHIELD

This is one of the things I always remember about the show. Such a good use of an actor

Shane was a really interesting character too. After Lem, he was probably the most sensitive and emotional member of the strike team: Not the retarded, ignorant racist redneck he seems like on the surface. He's not as dumb as he seems like a lot of the time either; when he isn't trying to emulate vic he's usually extremely competent at what he does.

His problem was he kept overreaching, and he was too easily influenced by the people around him (a problem people often have who are overly empathetic).

You better be shitting me, I want the extended 2 hour take

Attached: previouslyontheshield.jpg (260x193, 7K)

>Vic's phonecall

YES
if we're talking about the scene where Shane calls Vic from a payphone to ask him to do some shit for him and he tells him to fuck of cause he's got a brand new ICE deal, and Shane breaks down realizing he's royally fucked, that has to be one of the best scenes in The Shield.

The fact that Goggin's never got an award for The Shield is a travesty

The next episode, when he arrives all calm and focused is such an amazing character development. The most terrifying "villain" on the show

I had only seen him in comedic roles until then.
When he gave Shane the "I own you" speech, he was legitimately intimidating.

Both Chiklis and Goggins should've won multiple awards from throughout the show, and especially from season 5 and onward. Chiklis won one for best lead after the first season, but nothing after that despite how kino his performances were. Aside from the confession and final scene, the one where Shane calls him a bad father and that his wife and kids want nothing to do with him is one of the most powerful performances he's ever had. You can see the rage and wheels turning in his head about whether to kill Shane on the spot or not, and even as he lets him walk away, he follows with intent to kill until he's out of sight.

They didn't remove it, just reframed some shots.
Still a bitch move though.

I didn't really like how they wrote out Monica Rawling.

I know, right? I honestly think he didn't have any famous serious role at that time (I might be wrong). And even for this role he didn't went to the gym to get huge, change drastically or anything like that. It was a blend of the actor doing its job, the nature of the show and the script.

damn, I want to see this series again!

The scene where Shane comes clean about Antwon Mitchell to Vic is another powerful scene. Vic thinks Shane's there to kill him and has already planned on putting him down before he has the chance, having given all his dirty earnings to Corrine beforehand.

Attached: the.shield.s04e08.1080p.bluray.x264-rovers.mkv_snapshot_45.40_[2019.05.31_02.30.26].jpg (1920x1080, 686K)

The last moments with Shane and his family really haunted me.

The levels of stress of the last episodes were off the charts. All bets were off

Still not as haunting as Aceveda having a cock sandwich.

>every Shield thread
Enough already, I'm tired of feeling like I was raped too

I think s3 is still the best, Claudette’s mistrust of Vic and the strike team trying to hide the money train tail was top tier suspense. Lem burning the money was the beginning of the end for the team.

While I agree on that, the way he started to lose control of his life because of that dick lunch was both hilarious and stressing

5 > 7 > 3 > 4 > 1 > 2 > 6

After the confession, Vic went to the station, straightened his jacket, puffed out his chest and walked across the room.
Fuckin baller

It's a shame this show hasn't been seen more. Shawn Ryan was a fucking great writer and they assembled a fantastic cast. This is easily one of the best series ever.

And let Ronnie take the fall, like a cold-hearted mother fucker.

>let
There was literally no time left

The first episode of this I saw was while channel flipping half drunk one night. There was a scene were Vic was chasing some dude who hopped a fence, and he just barged through it and floored him.
Made me and my brother laugh our asses off. I just thought it was dumb nonsense and didn't pick it up properly until a couple of years later. Really was a great series in the end.

I started watching it because my dad said it was good, picked it up mid Glen Close season and holy shit it was good

literally is the first scene in the first ep

Was she the worst female character?

Attached: Paula Garcés Shield police.jpg (1440x2160, 630K)

I don't think zoomers can comprehend how mind blowing the Terry Crowley scene was back then.

yes but she was hot

Especially since he was coming off of Homicide: Life on the Street and seemed to be a big name to lead it

Holy shit I was blown away

The shield is truly kino.

>Hot
>Those tits
I'm afraid I'm ginna have to disagree with you there kid

its poissibly the worst show ever made and ive seen it 4 times

it was so bad

and cringy as fuck

Attached: Paula-Garces-Sexy-The-Fappening-pro-3.jpg (532x794, 71K)

I always thought she was cute

Is this supposed to prove your point? I have bigger titties than that and I'm not even a fat guy.

yeah except big tits aren't the be all end all

And if you have bigger tits than that you ARE fat

If you're a guy with any tits you're fucking fat

>I have B cups
>i'm not fat
