To get from our planet to our moon you would have to predict exactly where a moving object is going to be in one week, in space we have never been before, because our galaxy, is a seperate astral body than our solar system, and our solar system is a seperate astral body than our planet all are moving in different directions at different speeds.

Think about it this way,
>You are on a moving platform (Earth) trying to shoot with a gun a target (Moon) on another moving platform (solar system) moving at a different speed and direction than you,
>while that platform (solar system) is on a different platform (galaxy) that is moving in a different direction and speed than both the platform (Earth) you are on and the platform (Moon) you are shooting at, All of these platforms are moving on another platform (The galaxy moving through the universe) again, in a different direction at a different speed from all other platforms.

It's not impossible to crunch numbers, and the speeds and distances that aren't the Earth's spin and Moon's orbit are irrelevant for this endeavor. You're making it sound incredibly difficult, except most of these moving platforms are going in the same relative direction at similar relative speeds.
We could predict the movement of the moon and the rest of the planets for thousands of years. Why is it suddenly impossible?

These can be factored out because they affect everything in the system equally. If I'm on a platform moving 10mph and another platform is moving parallel to me at 11mph I don't need to do the math on jumping to an 11mph platform, I need to do the math on jumping to a 1mph platoform. Also predicting exactly where moving objects will be in space is the easiest god damn thing to for anyone with even a high school level math education. Objects in motion remain in motion, so with their position and velocity you can know their location in space at any given time. It's how we know when solar eclipses will happen years in advance, and how we can cross reference events in history to exact dates based on those events having mention of eclipses.

Hint: he's a grunt, a scientist jock he wouldn't know anything so when he talks about rock formation on Phobos (the way people talked about the face on Mars before we got clearer pictures) it's just his mind wandering and trying people to be interested he does this.

What reference point will you use to predict where the moon and earth will be in 7 days in the solar system/galaxy/universe? Everything is moving in different directions, you cant just aim at the moon and hope to get there, there, because you are trying to overshoot the moon a bit so that you don't miss it, like anything else you aim at that is moving perpendicular to you.

If you were to shoot from orbit at 15,000mph into space at a target where the moon will be in 7 days, you will need some sort of target and reference point. You can't just aim a ship at the moon and fly (fall) there. The moon will be behind you half the time you are en route to the target. You have to aim ahead of where the moon is because relative to you, once you are en route, both the earth and the moon are moving in different directions at different speeds.
