I alway wonder how the mind of a pedo works. Not many movies dare to touch such a 'fragile' subject.
The woodsman is a pretty good movie about a pedo going back in society being hated by everyone. It was okay, not great. Also it didn't feature a pedo being a pedo, more a man trying to get his shit back together after prison.
There's also hard candy (pic related) but this is from the viewpoint of the little girl and her 'revenge', it's okay, but the revenge part is obviously added to make the movie bearable for pedohaters.
Then there's Jagten, a masterpiece of a movie, but still it's about pedo allegations but the protagonist is not really a pedo.

It's not about friendship AT ALL.
It's about a man bored out of his skull with his life who finds a little girl with pretty much the same mind-setting (but there's an abyssal difference in experience obviously).
The man pretty much says "fuck it, let's do something stupid" and go on a road trip with her without telling anyone, having vaguely in mind to do stuff with her but as they progressively get closer it becomes real and the girl freaks out and he starts to realise what he was about to do. The rest of the movie is about what relationship they can or cannot have and the ending... you'll see.

It is. It tries to be "real", not like Lolita with phony reactions and "too smart" kids with too much self-confidence to be realistic. The man isn't a complete asshole either and doesn't really know what he's doing.
But it's a slow, frustrating movie (frustation is one of the theme) so Yea Forums pedos didn't like it and normies are confortable with the subject. Also, if you just want to watch CP, watch CP.

Hard Candy was shit. The lead girl was an ugly, dumpy, unlikeable turd. It’s a miracle of bad casting when you feel sorry for the pedo. The dialogue she kept badly spouting was typical kick ass chick sassy bullshit, it really ruined any tension and gravity.

Mysterious skin is a pretty good (though also deeply depressing) paedo drama, mainly involved with the psychological after effects of abuse, great soundtrack by the Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie too.
