What did you guys think of Outlaw King?
It looks like a budget made for tv version of Outlaw King
it was ok. it's decent but could've been better.
Mel Gibson played Robert the Bruce better.
>Comyn
>Brandubh
>Yifa
>Morag
>Sean
>Finley
>Jacobus
>Hamish
>Carney
wtf names are these
Crowing about there being nothing but white people makes you just as bad as diversity shills.
Except worse, because you're racist :^)
And if it was a post about a film with no whites in it, you'd be nowhere to be seen.
Neck yourself.
Good thing they found a guy with the most scottish name ever for this
good watch
>And if it was a post about a film with no whites in it, you'd be nowhere to be seen.
Correct, because whining about the race of people in fictional media is childish and pathetic.
Said like a true onions guzzling cuckold.
DOOOOUGHHHLAAAASS was based, I never really loved that Aaron guy before
England really wasn't an Empire at that point in history.
No, because then I'd be defending the minorities crying about too many white people. Learn to read, I told you you're just as bad as they are for exactly the same reasons.
Real names. Not kike names nor nig.
that guy is the most scottish guy possible, he looks like he's about shit bagpipes out of his ass
Ancestor of the great Hillary Duff
>b-but X is just as bad as Y!!!
no you mongoloid
there are degrees are bad
what sort of middle name is The
Yeah man, cus foreign names don’t exist. Legit retard, aren’t you my angry 19 year old white summer child.
We just had Outlaw King, which was already well made, why bother making another film on the same dude? Do Scots have nobody else to make films about?
>kino harris is in
sold when is it coming
No shit?
He played Robert the Bruce in Braveheart.
Jesus, this looks awful. The first Braveheart was only watchable because of Mel Gibson, the movie was otherwise garbage. Without Mel this is going to bomb.
Mel wasn't Robert, lmao. Robert the Bruce was in that movie, played by this same guy.

We already have a better movie.
I loved how much effort they had put into making the setting historically accurate. The wedding ceremony, dead swans and dragon banner might look retarded but it's pretty close to the real story. They even covered the castle floors with hay
How do you know if it's better, when you haven't seen this one yet?
>Inb4 muh historical accuracy.
That has nothing to do with the quality of a movie.
Judging by the trailer and the director dumbfuck. If you put food on one plate and shit on the other, I can choose the food without having to taste the shit because I'm not retarded like you. Jesus what a stupid fucking argument to use.
weird cinematography. Looked like a superhero movie with the constant digital pans and zooms, even in scenes with just two guys talking.
>character reaches for a fork
*BOOM WZOOM camera makes a totally unnatural movement created in post production*
Poor man's Outlaw King
What was his name again, Yea Forums?
DOOUUUUUGLAAAAAAASSSHHHHH
it was ok, Bruce was a big time gary stu
will they be showing this in american theaters?
Hope not. Fuck America.

It showed Warwolf for 10 seconds which makes it instant kino
WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF! WAR WOLF!
roy keane has made the transition into film
kino us upon us lads
Great movie.
The long take at the start was pretty cool.
>outlaw king sets the bar so high for accuracy in period films
>then there's this film
except for the whole single combat between the two kings thing
how was it any more accurate than a typical hollywood film?
>outlaw king sets the bar so high for accuracy in period films
While it was great for the most of it, they did fuck it up with the English prince, whatever his name was. I don't know Scot/English history since I'm from another side of the world, but I highly doubt Bruce and the English fought at the end in a dramatic battle and the prince was shamed as such. I also do not buy that he was so extremely blatantly evil.
I'll take shakespearian dramatic scenes added to historical events any day over The Battle of Stirling Bridge, But This Time There's No Bridge
not as big as Cromwell
Hmmmm. Probably be good.
they dug a defensive trench
>whatever his name was
They're all called Edward or Henry. Edward II was famously pathetic following in the shoes of Longshanks.
He wasn't present at the battle in the film but that did happen and there was a final battle at Bannockburn where the English were utterly blown the fuck out by the Scots despite a substantial numerical advantage.
>but that did happen and there was a final battle at Bannockburn where the English were utterly blown the fuck out by the Scots despite a substantial numerical advantage.
Yeah, I can see that happening, especially if it went down the way it did in the film, English heavy horse charging into a swampy mess of spears. Everything else, other than most stuff concerning Edward, seemed perfectly reasonable and believable. I was actually surprised how much care was shown to details. I wish we could see that approach in other historical movies.
Oh also in reality his new English wife was like 14 if I'm remembering correctly and he probably killed Comyn for political reasons, not to stop him reporting the plot (but no one else was there, so who knows)
no kilts or woad for starters
Typical Scots names of the period. Names would have come from Norman, Gaelic, Celtic origins, even Pictish maybe. You'll still find Comyns (now Cummings), Yifa in the form of Aoife, Seans, Morags, Finlays, Jacobs obv, Hamishes living in Scotland today.
Breddy gud.
Portrayed the Bruce a lot better than Braveheart (although that's a better blockbuster film for sure). Liked how it points out that Bruce, Wallace et al were nobles and the Scottish Wars of Independence were basically toffs north and south of the border squabbling.
Sure but it's a shit film. Accuracy only interests people interested in history. As long as you keep it authentic, there's nothing wrong with deviating from history for dramatic or entertainment purposes.
Looks terrible.
>no scot kino about the failed jacobite rebellion
It looks cheap.
Outlander has its moments
>hear about outlander
>ooh a jacobite period piece that'll be brilliant
>it's pure shite
Still raging.
Screaming his name thing seemed imbecilic
