Well, it's not like they really sell decent 1080p TVs anymore. Even if you don't want 4K or smart features, you can't buy a decent panel without them.

Also 4K is very useful for very large TVs or when you sit extremely close to your TV, but I agree in most cases the difference is pretty negligible.

I bought an oled TV.

I got one for free.

Does a 1080P OLED exist?

That would be like buying a 150hp Ferrari.

I'm calling The police!

I won mine in my holiday work party's raffle. It's pretty cool tbqh, 4k blu rays look rly good on it provided it was shot on film and has a decent master

Yes. My 4k movies look good on it.
How's your old crt? :^)

Tech lads, pls recommend a full hd 39"-43" led tv, no smart tv memes please

why

>4k good. 1080p is like watching VHS tape from 1987

Attached: lotr fan.png (645x729, 28K)

Nobody's saying that but you.
Both are good, 1080p content is still good (the majority of what I watch on my TV are regular blurays or 1080p rips). The few movies I own on 4K, however, all look great
DVDs are the cancer

whats wrong with a 4k

i have a 4k tv
i am using it right now
its fantastic for graphic design and 1/3 the price of meme gaming monitors

It's not 8k.
Duh.

There's a reason professionals use monitors

TVs have garbage color accuracy and would make your "graphic design" look terrible

I watch 480p/576p Blu-ray encodes on my 10bit 4k monitor.

>4k
>still 30fps

you are right, but you dont know what 4k TV i have and these days, the gap is near negligible
seriously, ask anyone

>got a 50' 4k samsung for $300 on black friday

Why would anyone have a tv at this point? If your like to watch kino get a wallscreen and a projector. Otherwise 2k pc screen for home or tablet for watching on the move will do.
Well alright some people just have attention span of a hamster and need ad break every 10 minutes, at least tell me you don't have "smart" tvs you tv buying fags

That stupid asian bitch lured me with her bug magic. I didn't even want that fucking tv...

Attached: 1560110927163.jpg (1011x634, 66K)

I still stream at 144p on my 1080p PC monitor. If I'm lucky and the internet is actually fast enough to when I want to watch

This, projectors are the true kino experience
No smart features, no bottom of the barrel 4k products with shit quality, easier to move around

based

Yep, I did. I don't regret it desu

so happy with mine. tv technology could have stopped here and we'd be fine.

How many niggers did you have to fend off with a spear?

This. You're only going to find 1080p on TV sets smaller than 32 inches now, or if you get them used. Everything else is 4K, and it's not like they're expensive either. You can get a set with the HDR and other bells and whistles at 65 inches and still spend less than $1000.

Honestly, the day to day price for 50" 4K LCD sets from Samsung or LG is still only like $350, at Best Buy or Costco. 65" sets can be had for around $500-600. Enormous TVs have never been cheaper.

Whats wrong with 4k monitors?

>making up a question to answer
Then why'd you go on black friday?

They cost like $150 at the store, why wouldn't I buy one

>he doesn't have a 4k tv
>he doesn't have his gaming pc hooked up to it acting as an all in 1 media machine
>he doesn't enjoy kino and video games in UHD

Only reason I don't watch movies through my PC is because I can't seem to get it to output 5.1 through my connected system. It's easier to just hook up an external HDD to my TV and play them all through there

I tried that but Windows 10 gets confused when you switch resolutions. It's fun but it gets annoying to reboot.
