My favorite Godzilla movie by far, everything about the design of the monster was so unsettling and like user said the themes were great.

It did Godzilla pretty true to the old movies. Fucking hate when Godzilla is savior of the world. Godzilla is best when hes a giant monster who fucks shit up and cant be reasoned with. When hes more alien horror from the deep than guardian of the world.

1. The whole Godzilla as humanity's punishment angle is more kino then kaiju fights
2. the destruction scenes music and effects were amazing, truly terrifying levels of carnage
3. human plotlines are usually filler, but I truly enjoyed watching all these anthill bureaucrats headlessly running around desperately trying to save their country from this cataclysmic disaster

I think it's bizarre that I actually enjoyed the human bits of this movie when I always found them absolutely boring, even in KotM. The rapid-fire dialogue and black comedy was really fun.

So is it agreed that Destroyah is the most powerful enemy godzilla as well as the most kino kaiju? He literally won if it wasnt for the humans. godzilla was at his most powerful and Desttroyah just danced in his face, chopped him up with his laser face and btfo'd his son in front of him. He was truly made to kill godzilla, and as we saw all he had to do was wait for godzilla to meltdown since his attacks couldnt beat destroyah. Even Toho knows he's the strongest, its why he's never came back. the moment they bring back the big D, Godzilla is fucked again, the only ending being killing Godzilla once and for all or making the fag humans kill, but we already saw that.
