Because Hollywood used to make mid-budget movies that people would talk about and see just because a certain actress had sex appeal and got naked.
Now you can get porn anytime and if an actress does a decent scene you can just bring up the clip on your phone and watch it without sitting through the film. And you can get it looped, brightened, etc.
Since there’s no money in sex appeal, studios turn to diversity casting to cash in on Identity Politics. So the yardstick an actress’ worth is measured by has more to do with her social media following which is based on how big her mouth is.

And it barely ever works; but a “Bridesmaids” comes along just often enough to keep the hope alive.
The only real way to capitalize on the female market is to make minor tweaks to mainstream movies designed for men; usually by adding a shitty romance subplot as filmmakers have been doing for 100 years.
