Has anyone aside from Dourif ever played Chucky before?

He got tired of the role.

I don’t blame him, if that’s the ONLY role he has going for him, outside of LOTR

you mean for the syfy show or the new movie? I thought he was doing the show.

Whichever is the one with Mark Hammill, where Chucky connects to the internet.

1>2>Curse>Cult>3>>>>>>>>>Bride/Seed

yeah that's the new movie. Last I heard he was still going to do the tv show which is a continuation of the Cult of Chucky movie.

I don't blame him
>2 decent movies
>a host of shitty half comedy half horror movies
>2 made for TV movies
>guy moves on
>HEY GUYS WE'RE MAKING A BIG BUDGET CHUCKY REBOOT!

>Last I heard he was still going to do the tv show which is a continuation of the Cult of Chucky movie.
Good. I thought Cult of Chucky was too good for them to follow it up with a reboot.

the made for tv movies were unironically bretty good

To get people to ask why they recast him for free publicity. Sure there's like a gorillion shitty youtube videos theorizing why by now.

So what you're saying is that Robert Englund is more of a professional than Brad Dourif?

>have other good roles as Wormtounge and in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
>only remembered as that “doll”
Same thing for Englund

The one made for TV movie with the girl in the wheelchair was mad decent

Oh, I agree. They're both great actors. But Englund's said he would come back to Freddy if he was asked. I know we're speculating on Dourif's behalf, but like, you do the job that pays.

Brad actually turned them down pretty based then he told them get that hack Mark Hamill to copy my voice

seed of chucky is literally one of the 2 good movies besides 2 and 3 but I combine them for some reason

sounds like easy money

Time to pitch a movie idea:
Hollywood is planning a crossover of Lepurchan and Child’s play, and Brad Douriff and Warwick Davis are on a road trip from Alaska to head back into hollywood and get their roles before Mark Hamill and Danny Devito beat them to it. It would be a mix of Midnight Run and PT&A

Don Mancini, the original director and creator doesn't own the rights to Child's Play but he does own the rights to Chucky the character. Similarly, New Line owns Jason but can't call the movies Friday the 13th.

Wouldn't it be more professional to retire from the role when you're tired of it rather than keep phoning it in? Anyway it's not like Brad has a hard time finding steady work the guy is in a fuckload of movies and shows.

Fair enough. I mean, my idea of professionalism is Nic Cage, who gives 150% in every role, no matter how awful the script is. But I mean, if he doesn't need the role, then he doesn't need the role.

>being gullible enough to believe

Nic Cage has been phoning it for a while, he's aware of his meme status so he just screams and acts crazy for the memers but it's not as good as his best performances.

What is deadwood

How was Mom and Dad?

They had to reword Hamil for going along with their politics and Trump slander.

No, but the new one is Chucky in name only. Horror reboots needs to end.

The two recent vod movies and upcoming tv series would disagree with you.

>chucky will say “fuck orange cheeto”
>the characters wonder if he’s even bad at all

>final scene
>chuck is cornered by all the kids in the neighborhood
>"ALL I WANTED, WAS TO RID THE WORLD OF PEOPLE WHO WILL ONE DAY PUT YET ANOTHER MEGALOMANIAC CHEETO IN CHARGE OF THE NUCLEAR CODES"
>slow clap
>given the key to the city
>last shot of the movie is chucky being carried in a my buddy box up to the whitehouse

And Mandy, and plenty of other movies he's done in the last five-ten years. Guy puts out 2-3 movies a year and people pretend that he can't act.

The real reason is probably that the showrunner for the SyFy show and the producers for the movie wanted to keep the two separate. Like how there's three different Flashes.

>swear revenge on pregnant lady who called cops on you from 25 years ago
>spend it stalking a kid and his family, and hanging out in Hollywood and going on vacations with doll family

Their kid's face is pure nightmare fuel.

This. Anything that puts Bride and Seed at the bottom is a good ranking.

Is Chucky the only long running horror franchise that recovered from their schlocky turn?

best part is it's genderless and thats a main plot point through out the movie on what it will choose to be for laughs of course

>Sneed

Would y’all watch it

This. Did anyone even watch that Jackie Earle Haley Nightmare on Elm Street?

The guy that made that should get a segment on the next VHS.

That looks pretty good.
