The X-Men, despite being a book about a bunch of genetic Ubermensch created by Space "Gods" canon to 2001 and engaging in Sci-Fi stories where they battle bird people and even demons, are supposed to be a metaphor for tranniers, faggots, nigs and the like. Back in the day it was a small aspect of them, but after the 2000s that's all they are. So, people think the X-Men are more "high brow" than other Capes. Chastain probably preferred that CapeVerse ebcause she thought it'd be good PR or some shit.

Seriously she sucks but I don't think being an SJW or annoying virtue-signaller costs you gigs in Hollywood.
She's has a better career than all but like four actresses over the last eight years, so I'm not sure how she's in a bad place right now.
Molly's Game was a bigger flop than Dark Phoenix, so I'm not sure why her career drop off is a bigger deal now than it would have been a few years ago.
Despite the Dark Phoenix flop, even negative reviews say that she's great and that her talent is wasted.
I'm sure she'll get better roles than fucking "Pepper Potts" in the future.
If anything what really fucked her up was waiting till age 40 before getting into Hollywood and lying and saying she was 10 years younger, because she's having to paper things over more and more ever since.
She's very annoying and overrated lookswise, but in terms of success, I mean, who else can you judge her by? All of Hollywood sucks now and basically it's blockbuster or bust. If that means you need to have a lame Pepper Potts role to be successful, than success itself is kind of lame. It doesn't. what really happens is that SJW/virtue signalers limit themselves to roles and movies that they think promote woke ideas. as it turns out, such movies usually are not very good and interesting to the audience. so basically those celebs make movies that promote their political beliefs at the expense of their careers. they receive good offers but turn them down if they don't check virtue and woke boxes. Now, what happens in the longer run, which may be the case with Chastain atm, is that film-makers take notes and stop bothering. so good roles start getting offered to actors and actresses who aren't woke picky while woksters are left in the cold. turn me down 3 times and I'll look elsewhere.
I did, however, heard that Ridley Scott doesn't want to work with her anymore cause they had a clash over his atheism and her catholic beliefs. apparently he can't stand religious people.

The Space "Gods" are the Celestials, which appeared in the 2001 Adaptation by Kirby which is canon in the MU. They have the Brood who are Proto-Xenomorphs. Then you have shit like Belasco and Arcade. 90% of their villains are weird Sci-Fi shit, but people focus only on the ones like Cameron Hodge and shit.
