i kill myself because i don't want to make entertainment for pedophiles

who willingly sits down and watches this autistic garbage? let's be real. anime is for fucking losers. imagine looking at this and saying "woah this cool, I really like this!"

my dad saw me watching this and i was so fucking embarassed

it is cool though

Guide to watching anime:

>1. watch evangelion
>2. stop watching anime
>3. ???
4. profit

idk man madoka is cool and i really like it

if you enjoyed Evangelion you'll enjoy this as well

Have sex.

please god don't even joke about this

Does it have any philosophical/deeper to it? or is it just airy fan service sludge?

it focuses on the emotional aspect, responsibilities, love etc. etc. but unlike Eva the overarching plot actually makes sense

But Eva made sense to me.

Sayaka is Moner and it's a lock
I

the ancient aliens/biblical stuff? Even Anno says it's just eye candy

It's way heavier with symbolisms that actually make sense unlike Evangelion

Moner is too old to play any of them.

I bet you only watch grown up stuff like Captain Marvel and Game of Thrones

Reminder they're loser females who watch anime too, so have sex.

>that fridge body
>still acting like a top slut since she's surrounded by guys who have never been around a naked girl until now
It's pathetic, but I can't say I blame any of them.

yes
goes way deeper than eva, though I imagine eva is more easily relatable
rebellion especially

fucking disgusting.

Okay this is epic

what do you mean with "deeper"?

Isn't this that edgy magical girl show that tries to do the equivalent of "subvert your expectations"?

It's actually a pretty good work, highly recommended for Christians. You just have to cope during the first 2 episodes, it gets better and better

eva is pretty much about depression and existentialism through schopenhauers philosophy
like you could argue there are other influences as well but thats more or less it
madoka deals with wider scope of topics and is bit more open for interpretation

That part is just decoration but human instrumentality and the way it works makes sense within the show

Madoka is mostly about the duality of love (and God/Devil) but it isn't necessarily "deeper" whatever that means

I was memed into watching this. Boring emotionally manipulative story.

Dumb people focus on the muh christian symbolism which is pretty much irrelevant to the plot becouse the plot itself as a bit convoluted and had to be put piced togeather

yes but the plot itself certainly isn't one of the high points of the show

Madoka is trash

Madoka on a philosophical level is clearly utilitarianism vs humanitarianism
But Madoka can be viewed also through a religious (spiritual) prism, an emotional and even on an elemental
Madoka and Lain always trigger the NGEfags, they can't stand their superiority

I agree
Long live Marvel
Thanos, now that's some honest character creation

No? Not a lot of really "shocking" stuff happens if you pay attention to the hints and foreshadowing that they imply. No one also goes suddenly out of character.

I like them both, I guess it depends on what you seek from them

Indeed, i had figured out the story by episode 5
I remember the good old Yea Forums thread
Gold era
Madoka is not about the story anyways

Homura is Sophia
anime is a gateway into Gnostic heresy

Based and redpilled.

Nia, Madoka is clearly christian/messianic
Appart from the ending that is beyond obvious, episode 7 has so fucking amazing christian messages that i don't even think were intentional
Homura is not actually wise, she is trapped into her own world and fails to see the big picture

I'd lose my head over it

i mean you arent wrong but more than anything its about the utilitarianism vs humanitarianism at the most surface level
but then its also about buddhism, nietzsche, faust and intentions vs consequences and the girls tackling the topics in the framework of coming of age story
the duality is tackled with hegels ideas

But Sophia is not "wise" in such a simplistic way; she creates a world by herself in the daring of her dreaming that becomes a prison for the light-sparks from the highest heaven, born of a longing that can only be sated by union with the Aeon Christ
And part of her becomes trapped as the lower Achamoth

>Nia, Madoka is clearly christian/messianic
this is the brainlet reading, there is barely any christian philosophy present
its about buddhism

wishes of the girls = desire
wish something = you become magical girl
become magical girl = become a witch eventually
witch = cause suffering

buddhism 101 = you suffer because you desire things

but her world isn't necessarily more "true" than the Archon/Incubator world, they rewrite reality multiple times according to what they want

kek

Can we have the Madoka Magica threads here in Yea Forums instead? It's impossible to discuss this series over at Yea Forums because of a certain autist.

Attached: 1517094251522.png (282x214, 78K)

Sophia's world isn't the true world, either
The Archons are just her offspring
She is only redeemed by her love for the Logos that brings reason to her chaos

Christianity and Buddhism have the same basis
Just change the word desire with the word sin, but they practically work the same way
Christianity was highly influenced by the Neo-platonic philosophy that is practically western buddhism. Buddhism was influenced and eventually shaped on what it is today by Greek thought, a process started during the Hellenistic period

If you can't understand that the ending of Madoka is messianic/Christian there is no help for you desu

so you end up with love as the main theme again

based

Jesus fuck no, meguca was a mess and Rebellion managed to fuck the series further than I could have imagined possible.

terrible bait

Post this on /cgl/ and enjoy the ride. Works every time.

>I've seen dozens of anime, I'm somewhat of a master

I didn't, you just have a low attention span

>Christianity and Buddhism have the same basis
i dont disagree however clearly there is lot of differences
and madoka is very clearly about buddhism more than it is about christianity, plenty of myths have messiahs but you cant really comfortably fit them in to madoka, same goes for christianity, messianic element doesnt make it explicitly about christianity

Bait how? Outside the technical aspects of the animation Rebellion is fucking garbage that panders extensively to a vocal minority. It was pure cash-in fanservice and you faggots ate it up and demand more still.
Madoka TV starts strong, then spins its wheels for nearly half the entire show until finishing with a cute twist. It is nowhere near the level of Evangelion.

I don't demand more, it ended the plot quite nicely

Dude Madoka makes a choice to carry the burden of humanity and sacrifices herself to give humanity a new contract, a new world, a new start
It's literaly Jesus 2.0
The anime has like 350 Faust references, do you think this is a coinsidence as well?

idk how you are gonna miss the entire premise of the magical girls in the show though
its in the name
>naive girls want shit so they make naive wishes and cause suffering
>one rises above
they beat you over the head about the middle way too, self sacrificing gets you nowhere (mami, homura) equally self-indulgence in the form of wishes also is a dead end and doesnt solve anything
even madokas enlightenment is literally same as buddha, she removes herself from the cycle of incubators, magical girls and wishes
>its christian cause there is a character thats priest, theres a church in one of the episodes and there is messiah
bruh

Dude watch episode 7 again
Maybe you are illiteral in christianity and you fail to understand the obvious christian symbolisms, it's common amongst American protestants
Breaking the cyrcle of recarnation in Buddhism (aka achieving nirvana, enlightment) is the realization of anatta and leads to the end of your existence, the ending of Madoka is by no means that
I wish my english were better, i struggle a lot ):

>single episode
>vs the entire rest of the series
cmon man
and you refuse to even address the central theme of how how magical girls are born from desires and then end up causing suffering as witches
>Breaking the cyrcle of recarnation in Buddhism (aka achieving nirvana, enlightment) is the realization of anatta and leads to the end of your existence, the ending of Madoka is by no means that
but it fucking is, everyone forgets he existed, aside from homura, for everything its worth she doesnt exist anymore

the central theme is literaly Faust magical girls
Faust is as christian as YOU CAN GET
Again it's easy to attribute buddhist meaning to a christian work and vice versa
For me it's really clear that the ending is Christian/Messianic but it's always nice when people have different interpretations
>vs the entire rest of the series
Are there buddhist symbolisms in the other episodes that i missed? Cause i hope it's obvious that i'm not saying that Madoka is a 100% turbo christian show

Rebellion sucks indeed but NGEfags need to cope and finally admit that Madoka is better

>Faust is as christian as YOU CAN GET
it doesnt matter much, how you interpret a piece of media is not what its influenced by, its what actually stands in the piece itself
you could make equally sufficient reading madoka being nietzschean but why fucking bother when the evidence and symbolism in the show itself is clearly piles up heavy evidence towards buddhism
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bījā
oh hey, buddhism and seeds, how about that, crazy how you have hard time actually typing out all the christian symbolism, philosophies and parallels while the buddhist ones are shoved down your throat during every episode of the show
what about kyubei literally talking about karma and law of cycles, christian as fuck right?

Why do anime fans constantly have to bait us vs them arguments about literally everything?
Madoka was OK and I enjoyed it when I saw it, but Eva is a lot better despite its flaws. You can like both.

>Kyoko is offering an apple to Sayaka inside a church
Ye the seed is a pretty obvious one, it's structural. Japan is a Shinto-Buddhist majority country after all.
>what about kyubei literally talking about karma and law of cycles
I don't remember this one, when does he? While speaking to Madoka i think it's all about science, reason and shit. Kyubei is not the spiritual type haha

Cause EVA has by far the most zealot, insuffferable fandom

Maybe 15 years ago.

>I don't remember this one

Madoka is better than anything Hollywood has shat out in the last decade. Prove me wrong.

Rebellion was the natural conclusion to Homura's character

The series alone is masterly
I pretend the movies don't exist

You mean rebellion?
Cause the other 2 are the series

you mean rebellion and the cuts from the series?

this, my weeb friend, who is very smart and nice, but a weeb non the less had us all over to watch this movie, about a 7 year old girl that because a wizard.

>b-but muh entropy!
>muh time travel!
>muh sinister and adult themes

fuck off, shit is gay. But I;d fuck the big tit blonde bimbo

yes, they're both equally fucking gay and overly dramatic

Attached: 1530664771070.jpg (700x401, 29K)

it's not bait. I'm serious. Watching weebs try to defend their little girl cartoons is hilarious. You want to be philosophical and religious? Go read paradise lost and put down the cartoons.

This would never ever work in live action ever

Attached: 1555785228085.gif (480x238, 415K)

>Maybe you are illiteral in christianity

breh?

Attached: friends.jpg (592x304, 31K)

It's basically Evangelion with magical girls instead of mechas

exactly, it's shit

>Netflix adaptation

I've never seen this cartoon, so I believe I'm in a good position already.

Doing just those in the picture, I would get the two sassiest black women I can for the least amount of money, a rude Asian actress with a flat chest, an Indian actress that I found in the gutter, and a white transgirl that passed in the photos I saw but looks awful on film.

Madoka doesn't even hold a candle Evangelion, you're comparing a child's first plot twist to an actual series with an intended message, a well thought out plot, and believable characters.
Evangelion actually developes every character and established its plot within minutes and rounded it off perfectly.

Madoka was made by someone who didn't understand EVA but thought they did. It had a single plot twist and it expected you to sit through 9 episodes of literally fucking nothing before they showed any character development. The twist could have been interesting, but it absolutely did NOT need 8 episodes of stupid, uninteresting bullshit of fake arthouse panoramic shots. It's only loved by the kinds of people who have watched literally zero anime or any movie frankly. I can't imagine anyone older than 19 would think it's more than just a blip. If you couldn't understand Evangelion that's just an IQ problem, understanding madoka isn't an accomplishment, it's a burden knowing you wasted time on this fucking awful show for any length of time.

dam senpai
ur an unruly brainlet

So Evaturds truly do think every series that is breaking the mold of their genre is copying them huh.
