I have extolled the beauty of the Clemenza-squaring-up still on Yea Forums multiple times. Me, replying to an objector:

First season absolutely yes. You'll hate Rust at first. He's portrayed as the ultimate fedora atheist foil to his family man good 'ole boy partner but both characters are much deeper than that. Story is compelling and does a fantastic job of maintaining a pervasive sense of mystery and unease that a lot of detective dramas ruin by revealing too much too early.
