Are there any T.V. series that accurately portray life as a teenager/high school in the 90s, but are still also entertaining and fun to watch?

I was in high school in the 90s. Though I hardly ever went.

You wake up early with little to no sleep still but feel great, slip on your favorite pair of Heelys, grab your Go-GURT and Uncrustables, and make a break for the bus stop. Your friends are already there playing with their yo-yos and Pokemon cards. You and your bros cruise to school in seats 21 and 22, kings of the bus, while listening to Hybrid Theory on your portable CD players at max volume. The song skips at every bump in the road. First period starts and guess what, it's a movie day. After the pledge of allegiance, your busty English teacher rolls in that black cart with the TV and VCR and pops in a copy of Shrek on VHS. The whole class complains cause we've seen that 4 times already so she let's you watch old episodes of Wishbone and Bill Nye. Next period the substitute teacher is just baby sitting so you bullshit with your friends all class quoting whatever episodes of The Simpsons aired on UPN last night. Next you head to the computer lab and hop on the Apple iMac shitboxes and load up your favorite clips from stickanimation and joecartoon. The teacher tells you to turn it off so you just play Oregon Trail until it's time for gym class. The locker room reeks of Axe body spray. You play basketball with your friends for 40 minutes and even managed to win an epic game of knock out. After gym it's time to eat so you head to the cafeteria for that bland chicken sandwich, bag of Lay's potato chips, and TG Lee chocolate milk you get from the reduced lunch program. Luckily you found a couple quarters in the parking lot so you can buy a Star Crunch for desert. In math class you spend most of the time playing rock paper scissors but still manage to ace the quiz.

On the way back to the buses you see two guys fighting in the parking lot and everyone crowds around to watch. Somebody runs up and pulls one of the guy's pants down in the middle of the fight and everybody laughs. The administrators break it up but don't make a big deal out of it. You spend your bus ride throwing free AOL CDs out the window like frizbees. It's nice outside when you get home so you and your buddies go riding your BMX bikes and try to replicate the shit you've seen on the X Games and Jackass. You go break some shit at the nearby construction site, then stop by your friend's house with the trampoline to do some backflips and practice your favorite WWF moves on each other. Finally you make it home just in time to catch DBZ on Toonami. After dinner you invite your neighbor over to play some Halo but just end up playing the Fuzion Frenzy demo the whole time. After he leaves you hop on AIM to chat with your friends with WinAmp open in the background playing the soundtrack from Tony Hawk Pro Skater. You load up KaZaA Lite K++ edition and look for some new ideepthroat videos but they're taking forever to download so you just fap to some badly photoshopped pictures of Jennifer Love Hewitt. You clean up with that crusty towel you keep under your bed and turn on Comedy Central to catch the newest episodes of Tough Crowd and Insomniac. You fall asleep to the sounds of steel drums from the Girls Gone Wild infomercial...

It just seems like Clinton was president and the Economy was gangbusters. Everyone had a good job so all the suburban kids had parents with lots of disposable income.

Seems like it was a great time to be a teenager.

perfectly captured my highschool experience

This is early 00s not 90s.

Boy Meets World. The show premiered during Clinton’s first term and ended before 9/11.

What a fucking faggot

My brother and me
Smart guy

GTO live action drama 1998

seriously? did you go to a boys boarding school in the northeast or something?

Come on...

Can't help you out, I was a teenager during the 10's.
Strangely enough a lot of this holds true, so I doubt this is really the 90's.

i just saw OP pic and assumed it was an early 00s thread

Is 90s basically the best era to grow up in?

Yes.
>early internet
>no social media
>best console wars (Sega does what NintenDONT)
>based economy, literally had a surplus rather than the bottomless pit today
>basedball was roided out and fun to watch
>same with the nfl

yes
t. 1989

Early internet was probably some of the best times I've ever had in my life.
>no memes or internet culture to speak of so whenever you'd hang out with friends you would make up games or go exploring.
>video games consisted of N64 or PS2 sleepover parties.

>thinking the 90s was the best era to grow up in
lmao at you mindless retards

>PS2
You mean 1.

Test.

Also Can't Hardly Wait is pretty excellent

My So-Called Life was realistic and a good show, although I wouldn’t call it “fun.”
Most of the 90s teen shows that were fun, were not realistic because they were about a fantasy lifestyle in California.

>any T.V. series that accurately portray life as a teenager/high school in the 90s

The most accurate depictions are Kids and the music video for Lady (Hear Me Tonight) by Modjo:

Just as far as how we looked and how it felt.

Oh, you said tv though- there really wasn't a tv series that got it right. It was all teen dramas that were never anything like the way life for real teenagers then looked. Life looked nothing like 90210 or Dawson's Creek.

everyone born in the 90s has a warped nostalgia that it was some great era

Jennifer Love Hewitt's titties in that movie...

Has there ever been a show ever that portrays life at any age accurately? The 90s was the beginning of the hyper-Housewife over-protection culture along with niggers are awesome propaganda.

This. I was a teenager in the late 90s and it was awesome in certain aspects but quite aggro and miserable in others.

the only thing i hate about the 90s is the low res videos and phtoos

Why would anyone look back to pre-9/11, pre-dotcom-crash, post-Cold War America as a great era?
