hello green oval. i missed you

The hideout raid in Zero Dark Thirty where they bust out the at the time black division stealth helicopters.

Homeland has some good scenes but it's mostly a drama and Claire gets really obnoxious around s4.

The ending of Sicario fits the bill pretty nicely.

The end of Platoon
Black Hawk Down
A scene or two in Restrepo, when they first set up the OP.

I'm guessing you're looking for something more along the lines of specops though.

escape from new york

Band of Brothers, Episode 8: The Last Patrol
It's fucking kino.

Literally who?

One of the Generation Kill episodes did it pretty well. Thing people most don't realize in a dark enough place with little other light, you are effectively blind beyond 20 meters or less. For instance a dark alley, with high surrounding buildings, and zero moon.

I miss 2007-2011 Yea Forums so fucking hard I want to die ;_;

I wish my homeboard from back in the early days when I first started browsing in 2007 was still worth a damn but it fucking sucks dick and has for YEARS.

my homeboard was /x/ and it should have been Yea Forums instead!

I miss that era of Yea Forums and Yea Forums the most.

same

anything from back then was much better. it really was the wild west, every night crammed with a metric fuckton of OC every thread, an actual communal sense of humor and trying to make a thread enjoyable. i'm glad i got to experience it, we'll never see anything like it ever again.

>a metric fuckton of OC every thread
damn i really miss that. nobody even fucking tries these days. there are quite a few of my OC that have gotten popular on Yea Forums lately probably just cause im one of the only ones making anything. we used to have threads where everyone would make a variation of an exploitable image and we'd have hundreds of replies

I was really active in those years, then from 2012-2017 I went through a normie phase where I had irl friends and shit, didn't come here much. That all endrd and I returned in 2018, it feels like reality shifted. I come here almost every day now but it doesn't feel like home. I don't understand it like I used to. It was a place that I belonged, and now it's like I'm trying to grasp at a shadow of my fond memories but it just keeps slipping through my fingers..

I hear ya. I really miss those days but to some degree everybody taking one picture and putting a twist on it is just kind of an outdated format, and now we have years and years of images as a catalog to draw from, creating an OC image isn't really necessary to communicate or entertain other people, although OC certainly CAN still be entertaining.

I also think that a lot of the threads from back in the day would be viewed as trying to "force a meme" today. IDK if that's fair but that's just my view on it.

Overall It's hard to describe. I miss the old days but I can see why things changed, and it isn't all good but it just seems kind of unavoidable.
