Now that the 2010s are coming to a close, what are your favorite movies of the decade?
Now that the 2010s are coming to a close, what are your favorite movies of the decade?
Replace that gay pixar shit with Hereditary.
I didn't make the pic I just googled 2010s movies
The Turin Horse
The Tree of Life
Goltzius and the Pelican Company
Hard to be a God
Paddington 2
Once Upon a Time in Anatolia
Shame
The Hunt
Samsara
Embrace of the Serpent
Manchester by the Sea
An Elephant Sitting Still
Burning
From What is Before
Mysteries of Lisbon
The Master
Inherent Vice
Is this in order top to bottom?
No, it's random but The Turin Horse is my favourite.
Haven't seen it i'll check it out
I would recommend watching Werckmeister Harmonies first. The Turin Horse is not very accessible, especially if you are not familiar with the director.

>Blade Runner 2049
>Guardians of the Galaxy
>Mad Max: Fury Road
In no particular order
>Hard to be a God
>The Great Beauty

>Under The Skin
>Amour
>The Embrace of the Serpent
>Oslo, August 31st
>The Hunt
>Manchester by the Sea
>Holy Motors
>BR2049

Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart.

Jesus Christ, what has happened to contempory art in the last decade?
see second post
hot tub time machine is a good movie and I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks
today it's all about the brand; it's the only thing audiences still respond to
Am I just a jaded cynical fucker or was this decade pretty damn shitty?
I don't really feel like I've watched a single "god tier" movie that has stuck with me since the day I watched it. I've forgotten nearly all of them. There were a few damn good ones, like Dredd, Blade Runner, Fury Road, The Raid, Grand Budapest, John Wick, but none that really impacted my life the way say something like LotR did last decade. At least among the more prevalent Hollywood movies.
What are some obvious top tier movies I missed?
Watch films outside of Hollywood.
Were there any good comfy costume/period dramas released this decade?
It's the golden age of TV, user. The first 2 seasons of Penny Dreadful stuck with me, also the first half of GoT. Peaky Blinders also had its moments.
Phantom thread
>Mad Max Fury Road
>Hateful Eight
two flawed films with high replay value. they were good but not top ten of the decade good.
>new kids
hallo kees
Was thinking of older settings, but the movie seems pretty interesting. Thank you.
Mysteries of Lisbon
The Favourite
A Quiet Passion
Sunset
A Royal Affair
House of Tolerance
The Beguiled
I'll check 'em out. Thanks user.
Mad Max
Drive
Dredd
It Follows
Never Let Me Go
Edge of Tomorrow
Green Room
Annihilation
Blade Runner 2049
Shin Godzilla
It's been a brutal decade for movies.
One of the only good action movies of the entire decade.
Blade Runner 2049
Sicario
Enemy
Gone Girl
The Lobster
Hereditary
It Follows
Cloud Atlas
Under the Skin
Alita: Battle Angel
Hush
The Rover
Black Swan
Infinity War
I feel like this list is pasta
I wish Inception wasn't so reliant on guns. It keeps it grounded in standard action fare instead of colorful flights of fancy which you might expect from the subject matter.
>Hereditary
Forgot about that one. Pretty damn good.
MARK
No, but i post a variation of it in almost every thread about the best films of this decade. Sometimes i change something or forget something.
Blade Runnet 2049
The Social Network
Yeah that just about sums it up
Why do half those titles sound pretentious as fuck?
Endgame
Infinity war
Iron Man 3
Lego Movie
Psych
lol, did you miss this list:
Shit, forgot:
Dredd
Jupiter Ascending (fuck you I like it)

Moonrise kingdom
Phantom thread

t. some baldlet mulatto with a pube goatee who probably loved Upstram Color, Mother, and Paterson even though deep down he knows they were shit and his favorite director is Jodorowsky
Many good movies this decade, but honestly no 10/10.
>>Hard to be a God
utterly based. best fillm ever.
guessing you haven't seen hard to be a god or the assassin
The fuck did you link me for, lol
Enjoy your arthouse snoozefest movies btw
limits of control is the best jarmusch film of the century unironically
Bronies, gamergate, a couple of wars, Tesla space stuff, Moonbeam City.
based and kaijupilled
No. I didn't love any of those and my favourite director is not Jodorowsky. Seems like you only watch mainstream shit and have no individual taste whatsoever. You have also probably never seen a non american film in your whole life.
Not saying I disagree, but what would you consider some 10/10 movies?
>all those remakes and reboots
oh no no no no
>Those credits mid movie
got me off guard
>got me off guard
You just sounded like an idiot. I will.
>limits of control
>best Jarmusch of the century
>not saying much seeing as how he made his good movies in the 80s/90s
Hacksaw Ridge
Under the Shadow
Den Blomstertid Nu Kommer
>Moonbeam City.
Aw Yeah!
