its the shit cast and writing
Then it's the directors fault
>"Actually upon repeat viewings, it gets more and more clear what an allegory the story is against Drumpf"
and guess who the writer was
lol how much did they pay him to say this
Is it true there's an anti mutant group called the mcu in dark phoenix?
Oh woah, another nepotism hire turned out garbage
He's lying to cover for someone else. Nobody in 2019 will admit to fault unless there is something to be gained or protected.
who is he related to?
Abraham
this this this
Some jew, obviously.
All of them
With Jews you lose.
porbably covering for the cast and composer.
and while i expected the cast to half-ass it anyway, i never expected zimmer to do the same
>guy writes X-Men 3 Last Stand, which was based on the Dark Phoenix storyline
>complete disaster that almost kills the franchise
>try making a movie about the Dark Phoenix plot again
>get the writer who made Last Stand to direct the movie
>actually kills the franchise
real question is, will any of the x-kids reprise their role in the future mcu films?
Of course not, the only one who had any popularity was Quicksilver, and people already got bored of him for being a one trick pony.
he actually directed AND wrote this one
i like the actor who played storm so i hope she gets a chance to reprise her role
you can drop everyone else
>Knows it's not his fault yet takes one for the team
Based Chad Director
Fuck Simon Kinberg and everything, but it's gotta be a nightmare to get what you think is a great chance like this, getting all this money to make an X-Men movie with what you think is a can't miss story and what you think is one of the hottest young actresses around. Writer finally gets a chance to direct, watching all the advertising, thinking that he's about to be incredibly wealthy and celebrated, offered every IP in the world, hottest director in town, and then it's just a huge fucking black hole cratering disaster.
Sure, he was catastrophically wrong about everything down to the initial idea, that anybody wanted to see a Dark Phoenix movie with this cast and Sansa, but still, the guy's gotta be suicidal.
>Remember how everyone hated the way we botched the Dark Phoenix storyline like 10 years ago?
>Yeah
>Well let's do that again, only this time with the girl from Game of Thrones
>Love it, this is gonna be a hit
>let's make her wear the same coat as the last one also
>wow thats genius lets do it
>And let's hire the guy who wrote Last Stand to write AND direct this one
Srsly. Should get the guy who did Days of Future Past at least.
did anyone even like her in GoT
>yeah, I mean, what are the odds he's going to fuck it up twice?
The only people who liked her were feminists, and they were going to like Sansa no matter who was the actress because she's a female character.
Don't they kill Jennifer Lawrence finally?
Doesn't really matter. She was a major character in a globally popular tv show, if you make her the lead it's a guaranteed box office hit!
Yes. Sadly they had to kill the entire franchise to make it happen.
I’m just glad in never have to see this slag again.
She dies within the first 30 minutes.
i'll take it. at least now itll be handled by Marvel exlusively
high IQ post
Based Boll had the best approach to this. He recognized it's the audience fault, which it is, it always is. So he responded it kind.
youtube.com
Fucking finally.
That's enough to get me to show up, honestly.
Imagine having a high paying job, work on a product for a year or so, and in the end botch it and shrug saying "oops, sorry! Teehee!!"
Fuck off with that shit.
This is Nathan For You-tier.
>she gets a chance to reprise her role
lmao there's a twitt about this
>Imagine having a high paying job, work on a product for a year or so, and in the end botch it and shrug saying "oops, sorry! Teehee!!"
its a pipe dream of min desu
>miraculously replace ceo of multination company
>run it to the ground by trying to establish sharia law
>whoops sorry huehue
i'd cry myself to sleep on my pile of money every night
They knew it would fail, get the fuck out of here.
I didn't see a single commercial for it until the week it was supposed to be released. There's no way this isn't a tax scheme
>Knows it's not his fault
It absolutely is his fault. This wasn't even the first time he ruined this particular plotline
No, it's just Disney bought Fox and stopped giving a fuck about it since they were going to reboot the X-Men into the MCU.
You and me both.
Why are the girls in game of thrones so ugly and bad at acting?
...
>people cant write Dark Pheonix saga 2 times
is it cursed?
This was his first time directing. They'll probably give him more roles
Either failed on purpose to hurt the Mouse or done on purpose so the Mouse can put out a mediocre cooking-cutter film which will be better than this.
>barely any images
>tons of half-liner/one-liner responses
>most of which are bot-tier youtube comment shit
Now that we have all you redditors here in one thread, fucking stay here.
at least he didn't act like trank and blame it all on the studio
I like to think that this is in part to GoT fans' rejection of Sansa's ending. If everyone loved it they no doubt would have been propelled to see Sophie's new movie in theaters. I bet if Dany had a movie coming out around now it would do well.
based Simon
Maybe he got high on his own supply. Also plenty of capeshit has mediocre writing and directing while still be profitable, maybe he thought all he had to do was toss out a few tropes and collect the money based on star power.
