I really enjoyed Kong: Skull Island. How it was about some soldiers trapped in the jungle tryomh to survive against Monsters.
Any similar films you guys recommend?
I really enjoyed Kong: Skull Island...
I would recommend this minor indy sleeper from 2005.
It was pretty enjoyable, Hiddelston and Larson aside.
It’s so bizarre that Tom Hiddleson and Brie Larson are supposed to be the main characters but they’re the least memorable of the cast
Reign of Fire
apocalypse now
Love this one
I was on the fence about this but I'll probably watch it for sure now. I too enjoy that scenario, if done well.
Brie Larson was fucking awful and i generally like her a lot
Great underrated movie. Love how the dragons (wyverns) are portrayed
Pretty underrated.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Reminder that not all Dragons are Wyverns, but all Wyverns are Dragons
Ok Todd
Fuck yeah motherfucker.
Godzilla KOTM. Go see it now you faggot fuckfaggot.
I hate to repeat this but I find it hard to enjoy monster movies with CGI. With CGI I feel no sense of awe. Despite the monsters being big I didn't really feel their weight.
I thought it was Skrull Island and those things were called Skrulls
Hiddleston was miscast tbqh, he looks like a good action guy but he sounds like he just wants to drink tea and talk things through. You need a Tom Cruise or Arnie type there.
Larson could've been played by literally any hot actress who can at least act scared.
>about some soldiers trapped in the jungle tryomh to survive against Monsters
You just described Predator
are you implying this wasn't good?
>Hiddleston was miscast
Absolutely. he's a bit too feminine to play the SAS bad ass.
>soldiers trapped in the jungle tryomh to survive against Monsters.Any similar films you guys recommend?
Predator
I found it funny how out of place that chinese actress looked.
>Constantly trying to prove she's not the stereotypical pushover, dumb chick.
>is the only one who is morally good
>has a creative profession
Did they let Brie write her character herself?
Her dialogue was even better. They tried to make it like she had a rapport with everyone but it almost looked like she filmed her scenes in another location. It was awkward as hell.
I enjoyed Skull Island but I totally forgot Brie Larson was in it
Yea i was surprised it was actually good 7.5/10
same but patrician:
apocalypse now
the lost city of z
The only good thing about that movie was Kyle Chandler running faster than everyone and Jack Black's speech after every crew member's death
> the lost city of z
> patrician
