The Tree of Life is up there. I think Werckmeister Harmonies, Eternity and a Day and Andrei Rublev are all beautiful. All in different ways.

>Werckmeister Harmonies,
Why this

Three Colors: Blue

White and Red are better

Shrek 4, teach us the real value of family and friends

Very melancholic and beautiful atmosphere. Something about it is so mysterious and beautiful, especially visually. Later on it becomes more depressing but there is still the feel of weird kind of beauty despite the negative emotions that the film invokes later on. Especially when he goes to see the whale, stunning sequence.
The Double Life of Veronique rules them all.

Paris, Texas.
It's not only visually beautiful, but in a narrative sense aswell. And the soundtrack. And the characters. Everything about it is beautiful.

Such a shit response to the question. 2001 is a good film but its extremely overrated . You can spot tourists from a mile away when they reference that film

is there a more beautiful sci-fi film?

Absolutely. 2001 looks astonishing, engaging, impressive, but not beautiful.
Blade Runner is an obvious choice, but yes BR is more beautiful than 2001.

Dune 2020

Carla bruni's quelqun ma dit videoclip

Stalker if you count that as a scifi and Visitor of a Museum.

She, her voice, the song, her gestures, the camera movements, the scenery: everything is beautiful

Tree of Life Lacrimosa scene and the "That's where god lives" scene are some of the best sequences in cinema

Blade Runner for me, it's lush in sight and sound.

I am not sure, but whichever movie is most beautiful it has to be one of Roy Andersson's movies.

So tasteful and meticulous scenes. He never moves the camera in any scene. It is always a very meticulously worked on image and he has mostly used physical effects to make the small studio he uses seem bigger or even seem like an outside scene, but it never is. It is always built inside his studio in Stockholm.

This but more in the narrative sense, although it is not a badly shot movie by any means it is not awe inspiring in its visual side

His films are quite impressive, they feel artificial yet somehow real. It's quite funny.

the dark knight rises

Why is this movie so comfy?

spike jonze was originally going to direct it but backed out at the last moment so charlie had to direct it. that's probably why it's excellent scriptwise but not impressive on a visual level.

This any good? I'm saving it for an acid trip

I watched it sober and it was alright. Not bad but not amazing either.

checked. Great choice.
This one is also good.

This is correct. Also that ending should be under the list of “Things in film women will never understand”. But yeah, literally every shot in that movie is artful.

I drank 0.5 gin today

Oh god... the feels from that movie equaled Ikiru for me. One of the best ever.
