You misunderstand the Soviet mindset and Politburo calculus. Valery raised the alarm to Boris, Boris told him that he would have the soldiers kill him, and yet Valery still jumped up and warned the pilot. Boris is part of an apparatus where people are threatened with death all the time, and to those who persisted that threat is acted upon. None of it is mentioned in the transcript of the Chernobyl trial so far. Despite being strict, Dyatlov is not really portrayed in the control room like that by those who show on the hearings. It would be great to see if Legasov's conference in Vienna shed more light into this (as I assume Akimov and Tuptonov testimonies were presented there) because I find it too illogical to be made up.

The real turning point was when he ordered the pilot to fly over the core or take a bullet to the head, and Legasov didn’t back down telling him to stop. He’d showed he was afraid of death a few minutes earlier, so it doesn’t make sense for him to risk his (and the pilot’s) lives on a lie.

Plus Boris might genuinely know concrete. They were more than close enough to see weird shit on the roof that obviously shouldn’t be there. Even if it’s not graphite, how did chunks of some weird non-metal end up on the roof of a reactor building? That’s not consistent with a tiny hiccup.

Since it has been they’ve noticed that wildlife has returned to areas that use to be devoid of. you don't really "shoot down" satellites. You destroy them and their pieces slowly decay through the atmosphere. If you broke up one of those satellites with a missile, all the contents would likely continue orbiting for another couple of years because there is no more station keeping to keep the satellite in LEO. Then they would hit atompshere and burn up. Rods from gods work because you drop them fast and don't let them burn up slowly over time

It's not a faithful recreation of the plant or city. It's very gamey. You won't recognize places you've seen in the TV show in the game outside of a few major landmarks. For instance in the game, you crawl around inside the reactor itself, in fact you come in from underneith it and there are ladders going up in the reactor vessel to the lid and then out into a massive room with pathways and stuff.

The map is about 90% just forests with creatures and military, bandits, cheeki breekis, etc.
The Pripyat and Chernobyl plant areas are very small and full of enemies.

Yeah, I figured it wasn’t going to be correct. But I liked exploring Fallout 3’s DC even though it wasn’t accurate and mostly open space.
