STD

How is it?

Season One tried to be too woke. Season Two got slightly better but kinda tapered off as the season went. The second episode of the second season is classic Trek. Anson Mount as great as Pike but he isn't coming back next season as a regular at least.

The writers need to focus less on Michael and more on the rest of the crew. Airiam dying was supposed to be meaningful but they didn't bother to give her any character development until the episode she is killed off in.

There is potential in this show but so far they have failed to hit their mark.

Literal garbage. Do not watch

It's okay. Saru is great and I'd like to slam that ginger pig.

Trying way too hard: the TV show

Good enough that I no longer have hope for a decent Start Trek show ever again. I've struggled through plenty of trek shit, but this was enough. Done.

It’s like watching star trek fanfiction written by people who’ve never watched star trek and wouldn’t like it anyway. But think their idpol belongs in star trek anyway.

someone post the gif of the retarded ship spinning around and falling into space ghost water

it's terrible
star trek is dead

You watch it in the first season for based Lorca and Saru

You watch it in the second season for based Pike and Saru

You ignore everything else. They need to kill off the main character and start again with characters people actually like (Pike + Saru)

Pretty terrible. the main character is awful and the writing is extremely subpar. The ratings were doing so poorly that they had to introduce legacy characters into the show to boost ratings.

Legacy characters are more popular than the new cast and fans tried to get legacy characters to get their own spin-off show but CBS doesn't refuses and wants you to accept the new cast

I watched the pilot, right off the bat, nigger bitch thinks she knows everything and starts a war with the Klingons. I quit watching after that.

It itches

>STD
what a great name huh what a legacy to be remembered by

Liberal garbage. Do not watch.

Its actually DIS, just like VOY isn't STV, TNG isn't STTNG, etc.

This is an apt analogy

I don't understand why there is a fat chick in the future. There's no upside to being obese and it's easily remedied with their level of tech.

Common abbreviations are decided by the fans. It has to be come naturally. It was always STD for a long time... until CBS decided they didn't like that and mods banned you from forums for calling it STD and demanding you call it DIS. Never before in Star Trek has a company come out and told fans what to call it. You can't force an abbreviation buddy.

If CBS didn't like it then they shouldn't have used a name so easily turned I to a joke. How did that name even pass market testing. Did no one tell CBS executives how it easy it was to make fun of the shows name?

The shows writers came out and said..... that in the future people are more accepting of body differences and that they don't force people to change if they don't want to. The advanced technolody will accommodate people of all shapes and sizes.

So basically Wall-E where people get so fat that technology and robots take care of them completely

they also did some weird virtue signalling justifying the old wheelchair-bound crewman who cameos a lot

I stuck through season 1 cause I like Draco Malfoy's dad but he wasn't in season 2 so I dropped it after there was no acceptable replacement for his character

season 1 > 2 but it's all shit.

bad writing, bad directing, full of fan service. it's just not worth the time watching. it's written like a capeshit movie.

>full of fan service
Not even the good kind
