It's a sign the show is good.
Who's going to have it? I watch this show every single day I can't cope without it.
>poor ratings
no, it doesn't meet Netflix's interracial couple quota.
>not having the entire 11 series saved on your hard drive for the last 18 years
Frasier knows how to deal with interracial couples...
Millennial on cusp of zoomerhood here.
I watched the first episode a few months back. Thought I could get into it since I saw reruns whizzing by in syndication during childhood.
I watched the first episode and was put off by how spiteful and unhappy all the characters were and all the comedy that his haughty aura.
I don’t even really find myself to be a sensitive person. I just did not find it funny, or even fun to begin with.
Wrong. NBC and other affiliated networks are pulling their shows as soon as the contracts expire and putting it on their own streaming platforms
It’s not a matter of popularity
Will NBC put their shows on Disney+? Will I need a fucking cable subscription to watch NBC streams like I do now?
For fuck's sake, Kodi. It'll take a couple of minutes of you're not a complete mongoloid.
Yeah it sure is fun hunting down a new server every 6 months when they get shut down
I knew this day would come so I got the complete series on dvd
Christmas specials too?
>muh zoomers
Stop spreading misinfo, you huge faggot. NBC's contracts with shows for Netflix are expiring.
Yes
>mfw britbong and Channel 4 has been showing frasier on endless repeats since it was originally on
On at the most comfy time. during breakfast and getting ready for work
Impressive
David Hyde Pierce, as great an actor he is, could not play a convincing straight married man. A straight man, yes, but not a married one.
It was a 2 way street the show was sorta bad with all the Niles Daphne stuff
Yeah, but they kinda had no choice but to do it.
reminder the guy playing Bulldog was gay
Calling in sick to school and watching cheers, frasier, will and grace then ER was the best.
then in the afternoon you get a cheeky bit of 15-to-1 and countdown
That's true, yep.

Jane Leeves is legitimately looking 10/10 here, by the way
They're both so gorgeous
So was marty, niles, and noel shempsky the star trek guy.
and Gil was straight.
Frasier series 1 and 2 is so comfy.
The episode where Sam shows up again is fantastic
>marty
this still hasn't been confirmed, has it?
Because he's an undercover tranny.
radaronline.com
No, nothing is confirmed.
of course he is
This, but unironically.
Just because you like the show doesn't prevent him from engaging in perversions in his personal life.
is this show worth watching? ive never liked the banality of 99% of sitcoms
>Aka I'm really a crossdresser but I'm not going to admit it publically.
He looks a little "sweet" desu. When I watched fraiser with my girlfriend who never seen the show her first question was "is he supposed to be gay?". Otherwise how could this guy be an open Republican and have a successful hollyweird career ? He has to pay the Piper someway and that is being a sodomite Ally.
Straight cross-dressing is a patrician fetish
Torrents
Absolutely yes
It's worth it. It's not like most sitcoms.
fpbp
not enough devil worship, transpeoples and poc's
Why did Frasier and Niles speak with british accents?
Shut the fuck up
prep school (which were filled with rich English kids) and both spend long time in England. Frasier at Oxford, Niles at Cambridge
exact same reaction here.

alright ill give it a go thanks. what about cheers or Seinfeld? what are some other good sitcoms that are actually funny
Where do you see Netflix is dropping Frasier?
>mtfw I find out Netflix is dropping Frasier because it's controlled by the Russian mafia
seinfeld only gets good in season 3 and still has a few bad episodes each season
>Cheers
It's the prequel to Frasier that has him as a recurring character. Very comfy, albeit the humour is somewhat dated. I recommend it.
>Seinfeld
Can't comment on this one, sorry.
Also, check out Family Ties - that's one of my favourites.
>yfw
Cheers is good but dated.
Seinfeld is also good but slightly less dated.
However none of them compare to Simpson’s Season 11... particularly Episode 5.
That scene is legitimately hard to watch.
They were going for a "mid-atlantic" accent. It was what well educated, upper crust types spoke with in the early to mid 20th century. Ever hear FDR speak? That's mid-atlantic. It's an intentional, somewhat artificial blend between American and upper class English accents.

Fuck...when? I Have to finish the last three season eventually

Frasier's "GET OUT" here is one of the best moments in television history.
Did you even read what you linked?
Seinfeld is compulsory viewing. Cheers is pretty good, but might feel a bit dated.
I highly recommend MASH though. Old but pure gold.
That episode pissed me off.
What's wrong with wanting to have a complete collection of your own radio show?
Recently saw Kelsey in a rendition of Man from La Mancha in the west end. Was extremely based and comfy.
Histrionic Frasier is best Frasier
Moose > Enzo
not to mention there isn't even 2000 tapes there. at a maximum that cabinet can only fit 864
Fraiser was a great show, I have fond memories watching it with my mom everyday.
My GF couldn't stand it, probably because it is too white for her.
>no Frasier Crane podcast
What race is your gf?
he was also in the cartoon Hey Arnold, playing an effeminate teacher who looked like him
BLACK 200lbs with an ass cheeks the sizes of dinner plates
Yep, good example.
Should also add that the fact both Dr Fraisers (compared to their father the blue collar retired cop) are talking like that in the 90s, when the accent is well past its prime is an intentional comedic choice to add to the disconnect from normal people. Even in the 70s, or thereabouts when they were in school, the accent would have already fallen out of fashion.
I also paused and counted them when I first saw it.
I reason that it could be multiple layers deep. Maybe 3 deep bays, giving it a total capacity of 2592 cassettes

Mostly PR with some other island flavor in there so a mutt.
The hate campaign against middle age white balding men is real.

This was explained earlier; studios are taking down their own IP after the associated contract ends so they can move the works to their own streaming service.
Come 2022, every single studio will have their own service for as little as $9.99 a month! And maybe offer all their works

Yes probably sometime between late 2020 and 2025... but because of licensing as Warner starts up their own service, not low viewership. The show has recently become a moderate streaming hit for very little cost (as Frasier was dumped by most local network affiliates syndicating it around 2013 and only is on more niche digital stations or dead of night Hallmark channel)
It was one of Netflix's top shows last year
Was this chart made before the acquisition of FOX?
Disney owns FOX, ABC, FL.

That's absurd
Millennial on the cusp of zoomerhood here as well. Watched the first episode and got hooked. Love this show.

there is literally nothing good on shitflix right now but my normal ass gf had her brain melted by the ease of access and will literally stare at the launchpad for kodi because it doesn't automatically curate content for her. one day I put Fairy Tale in front of her and it became her favorite thing in the world. jesus fucking christ.
there is one run by a couple of chicks
There's one episode, and I don't know if it's just the version they show on channel 4 over here in bongland, or if it's more widely known of, but there's a shot of frasier in the studio, towards the door that leads to the corridor, and for some reason the wall has the massive, shocked face of a black woman superimposed over it.
Has anyone else heard of this, or am I going to have to watch the show all the way through to find out again?
Unironically my favorite Yea Forums meme
Found a screen cap.
S2e1 apparently
Nah, Kelsey's no fag. After he divorced his first wife, it's been a succession of young blondes ever since, most recently a 29 year old stewardess. Closeted gay men do the Hugh Jackman thing, or are more opportunistic with beards, whereas Kelsey has an obvious type and keeps trading them in for younger models.
The fuck? I don't remember this.
Wrongo. George Plimpton, anyone?
Predictable
Repetitive
Bad acting from most people
Same plotlines repeated all the time
Would nonironically watch a black fraiser, as long as they kept it the same concept and didn't just push black shit into it.
>SCREW HIM
wtf
Do I need to be high class and cultured to understand this show?
Dressing in women's clothes doesn't make you a faggot.
Getting dicked or lusting after men does.
Transvestites and Transexuals are different creatures.
The sexual desires borne from donning panties and bras and sexy lacy lingerie are from taboo thoughts which may stem in homosexuality, however unless you are turned on by man, you are not a gay.
No, that's why Marty is there.
But really the jokes are mostly on the "high class and cultured" so you should be fine, as long as you are at least educated to know some of the things they talk about.
Only black characters ever in it were bigger snobs and had more money than Frasier, they don’t understand stand how this can happen.
Nigger what
he doesn't talk about memes or e-thots enough and has probably never even heard of Fortnite
here are the times I watch netflix: when I'm cooking or eating, the random time at night.
Their movie choice is lacking. And they've taken off Futurama, and 30 Rock.
I used to watch Frasier, but I just torrented it because Netflix really had become an 18 dollar a month Frasier machine.

It's Maris and Daphne, retard. At any rate, definitive list is:
Kit > Faye > Lilith > Mel > Nanny G > Daphne > Charlotte > Roz > Lana > Kelly > Ronee > Claire > Diane > Sherry
This makes me so sad. Hallmark channel shows reruns every night. Time to pull out the VCR and blank tapes.
don't forget the humor is quite dated too, if you were born after 90 don't even bother
Daphne's character was originally written as Hispanic. Just prior to production they changed it thinking they could make more jokes with her being British.
And as the boys were total upoer class Anglophiles scripting a rough around the edges working class English girl into the house was a pretty good juxtaposition.
My only gripe was the relationship was so forced. There is no way she would have fallen for him. And he was closeted af throughout all the series.
And Daphne's family. All bizarre characatures that while reflect some truths just don't come across as believable on screen. Also tf everyone in her family had a completely different accent to each other.
I've got some old video tapes I made in the 80s and 90s of my favorite shows and there is nothing more comfy than watching them as first shown with commercials and promos and local news-breaks and all that from the golden age of television
it's because Kelsey Grammer is conservative
Old shows with the old commercials the best feeling
In what country? Here in America it’s fucking garbage. You give them money monthly and you still have to pay for just about everything on there platforms gtfo outta here with that shit. You zoomers just loved getting taken advantage of and raped don’t you?
Wow
does anyone have the cannibal pasta?
Kelsey Grammar supports Trump, that why ObamaFlix is dropping it
It's one of the most watched shows on Netflix
You're a moron lapping up fake news
Daphne's character was originally written as Hispanic. Just prior to production they changed it thinking they could make more jokes with her being British. And that the humour could get cringy and borderline racist with a latina maid.
And as the boys were total upper class Anglophiles scripting a rough around the edges working class English girl into the house as a friend for Marty was a pretty good juxtaposition.
My only gripe was the relationship with Niles. It was so forced and unbelievable. There is no way she would have fallen for him. Never mind he was closeted af throughout the entire show. A gay dude playing an effeminate straight dude- it didn't work.
Also Daphne's family. All bizarre charicatures that while reflect some truths just don't work at all. None of them likeable or endearing. And why tf did everyone in her family had a completely different accent to each other? From completely different ends of England.
have coitus
I spell however I like FAGET.
I spelt Daphne wrong on purpose, didn't know Maris was one S.
What are you talking about Daphne and Niles relationship is totally realistic. She ignored him for Chads all through her 20’s and early 30’s then when she get old and wants to get fat she marries her back up plan.
Frasier only had the skullet in the first two seasons.
Made me kek. Ok there's truth to THAT aspect.
>put off by how spiteful and unhappy all the characters were
Kek, just think how this snowflake would react to her
this, totally political now
That's not at all accurate, though. Donnie was hardly a Chad, and when she finally admits to her mom that she isn't a virgin, the list of guys she banged makes it sound like she fucked a bunch of old men and losers. The only guy she dated who was remotely a Chad was Joe, who dumped her, and when Roz took her to the singles bar she hooked up with a guy who looked and acted just like Niles. Reality is that her dating life was in the toilet pretty much the whole show.
It's Always Sunny must be a fucking nightmare for you

Because zoomers hate radio and Frasier the character isn't funny at all.

Basically every except kelsey was gay
They have a pathological distrust of any kind of gatekeeping. Radio hosts have to have some proven expertise, or a degree in broadcasting at the least. That terrifies the zoomer.
Indeed
No, we like twitch streams. For podcasts we like Joe Rogan because he sometimes has redpilled guests, or other celebrities related to video games.
The right answer
Nobody can relate to anyone in this show unless they're 50+ and absolutely loaded.

Them all having different accents was a joke. That's not Daphne's real accent, either. Or Martin's.

I used to think Frazier was an intellectual show and was intimidated by that, but later I realized it’s laughing at them
you will never sneak in to her bedroom and root around in her dirty laundry
WHY GOD WHY?
Exactly this. It makes fun of them.
There are still clever scenes, theres swordfight between Niles and his gardener and the dialogue is in English, German and Spanish.
And then you get another moment where Frasier is losing his shit over a painting, gets the artist around to fawn over her for an unveiling, and she tears him to shreds for being an out of touch pompous liberal idiot.
In the early 2000s PETA releases a genetically modified virus which slowly alters the minds of humans, making them into callous cannibals with no conscience whatsoever. This final solution would cull the population and save the animals. However, it only affects those in middle age, leaving old people and children unaffected... and at the same time ripe for slaughter.
In all the chaos the creators of Frasier decide to try and be the voice of reason to tell people that there is a dignified way to eat strangers and loved ones, instead of resorting to the gore feasts seen all over the planet. They create a line of episodes to put a humorous spin on the situation and show how to deal with their children and grandparents...
In the first episode Martin Crane gives the family a piece of his mind and laments over the situation, voicing his disappointment over the recent culling and eating of the neighbour next door. As he finishes his speech, Niles sneaks up behind him and hits him with a wooden mallet over the head causing him to collapse. (Audience laughs)
Frasier: "That was easy. Why haven't we done that before?" (Audience laughs)
Niles: "Well we weren't murderous cannibals who get aroused when eating loved ones before."
Frasier: "Good point. Now, let's hurry and prepare him for serving. Frederick will be here any minute. Poor kid just doesn't get it."
Niles: "You should just give up, if he doesn't want to join the party...."
Frasier: "Niles! That's my son!"
Niles: "Admit it Frasier, the thought of eating him arouses you as much as me."
Frasier: "... we'll talk about this some other time." (Audience laughs)
Frederick enters to see Niles, Frasier and Daphne surrounding Martin who is tied to a chair, dazed but slowly coming back to consciousness. He manages to utter the words "this wasn't in the script.." (Audience laughs)
>tfw bought the entire Reno 911 series for $25
Movie wasn’t even ten bucks, and I’ve got laughs for hours.
Frasier: "Now Freddy, be a big boy now, we've got a surprise for you."
Frasier lifts the hat they placed on Martin earlier to reveal his exposed, juicy brain. Freddy clutches his head and screams and jumps around in a tantrum. (Audience laughs)
Niles (excited): "See Daphne. He's not a man at all."
Daphne: "Oh Freddy, if you calm down I'll give you a present later."
Niles: "He won't do that. Look at this."
Niles grabs a spoon and proceeds to scoop out a chunk of brains out of Martins skull and quickly eating it. Niles eyes roll back as he savors the tasty brains. At this point Freddy vomits loudly in cascades. (Audience laughs)
Frasier: "Damn it Freddy, don't be a baby. Look, I'll have some."
Frasier scoops out a chunk as well and proceeds to let out a great "OMMMMMMMMM!" as he chews. He also flicks away a small chunk towards Eddie who gladly catches it in the air and quickly eats it. (Audience goes awwwww). All except Freddy unleash their spoons and in short time scoop up the remainder of the brains. Freddy faints, end of scene one. (Audience laughs)

Ironically, not gay enough for 2019.

Ausfag here, kikeflix in our country never even had Frasier, for that you needed a jewscription on a second service "Stan" which is like another ten dollars a month. It's why I just pirate everything.
Frasier is on everyday on free-to-air m8 - Channel 11
My dad always watches Letters and Numbers at 5:30, and I watch it too because it's just as kino as Frasier. I watch the episode of Frasier after that at 6:00, but I always like to have a back up drive of all Frasier episodes in case I ever wanna watch it when I'm out of town or during hours when its not on, or if I wanna show a friend an episode.

You can't just say your buzzword to make the wrongthink go away.
When you first start watching Cheers without looking at any dates, I'd say the average person would guess it's from the 70s rather than the 80s. It feels older than it is.
Honestly wish he would have dated the Patrick Stewart character. He could have been one half of a power couple!
>I like you so much, and I love our friendship. I'm afraid we can never really be more than friends.
>Would three weeks on Capri in Bertolucci's villa change your mind?
>It's worth a try! ... no no, it wouldn't, I'm sorry.
This is true. Cheers feels like someone was 10 years late making a TV show out of Piano Man by Billy Joel.
Fwiw 80s media is very heavily identified with California and Miami culture, a lot of the country was still stuck culturally in the 70s well into the mid 80s.
>t. Grew up in Ohio
Family Ties was very "80s" though
>Set in Ohio too
yeah, sure, but Frasier doesn't feel dated, right? the question for comedy is IS IT FUNNY not "I'm a millennial and they don't act like me or my friends so I'll call it dated"
>grew up in Ohio
well that's your problem right there
My post was about Cheers, not Frasier.
Frasier actually feels like it's from its own time, and it's close enough to the present that it still feels fresh.
Nice, but also consider
That's fair, Family Ties is distinctly early-mid 80s. Heathers was set in Ohio too, but the Midwest had finally come into MTV and Los Angeles trends by the late 80s.
>thinking Netflix will keep any show about a straight white male
Thread's done everyone, go home.

it isn't.
There's nothing gay about being educated, liking nice things, and disliking sports, Faggot.
Frasier and Niles do not dislike sports.
They both enjoy squash and rowing. However Frasier, when need be, can chill out with the guys and watch a boreball game anytime
Fantastic post in a great thread
>GIL WAS STRAIGHT?!?!?!? Good actor.
This was addressed in the show. I think Gil mentions his wife at one point and Fraiser is shocked which offends Gil.
Cozi tv antenna station 4 eps every night
You need to fucking kill yourself. It doesn’t matter how good a show is, if it’s the only reason you cope with existence, the world would be better off with you gone.
As Martin said, "you have to wonder what happens on that squash court."
It's fair to say that they dislike sports. I appreciate that Frasier said once that he rowed crew in college, and that Niles will play croquet at parties, but that doesn't mean they like sports. Fundamentally, sports is about competition, about red team vs blue team. That's why people who like sports are generally pretty promiscuous with what sports they'll watch, and people who love sports will watch almost anything so long as it's people competing against people. Niles and Frasier might enjoy some activities like fencing and squash, but they aren't guys who like sports.
Kelsey Grammer was even less convincing at playing a straight man, and he's actually straight in real life.
Girl talks about his wife and she sounds like a butch lesbian.
>getting ready for work
>comfy
wtf? It's cold as shit and I'm having a panic attack over what's going down the next 8 hours.
lmao, they either filmed through a sheet of glass and she's a reflection, or the film they were using had already been used and she was in the older shot.
For me it's the one where Frasier tries to tell Martin that he doesn't like the painting Martin bought him.
I always avoid the ones where niles has referred pain and the next episode in hospital
>Countdown
I have no idea how anyone concentrates on that show. Racheal Riley is standing right there. Literally the perfect woman. How am I supposed to make 837 with that going on ?
Gil sneaks into a gay bar at the end of one episode
and nothing of value was lost
Seinfeld is kino and makes Friends literally unwatchable if you were a fan beforehand

NBC doesn't own Frasier (or Cheers). It aired on NBC, but was produced by Paramount and is currently distributed by CBS Television Distribution.
CBS also has the rights to Criminal Minds in the U.S., although Disney has the international rights.
Also, the situation has changed somewhat since the Disney buyout of Fox: Warner sold its shares of Hulu back to Hulu, and NBCU is in the process of trying to sell its shares to Disney (which will leave Disney as the sole owner, and in a position to eventually merge Disney+ and Hulu).
None of CBS, NBCU, or Warner have streaming services with any significant market share, although they certainly have the libraries to try to build them (especially if CBS and Viacom/Paramount re-merge).
