They're both good. BoB is an idealized melodrama, but it does it better than anyone. GK, on the other hand, portrays realism better than anyone.

BoB didn't shy away from some of the more gruesome or less savory moments. They showed incompetence, bloodlust, and some morally questionable acts. I think its more that due to the nature of the war and the military, easy company had different types of men than generation kill marines

The pacific had little to nothing to say and the little it had to say it said in the first half, the rest was just misery porn for the 3-4 last episode straight.
