This was nowhere near as bad as what people were trying to make this out to be. It's like they were trying to convince to not watch this.

My only regret is not watching this on an IMAX screen.

Yes, it was pretty cool. Comic relief wasn't really funny but at least there's more monsters.

Yeah, it got dumped on for no reason. Long live the king.

Fuck all the humans in that movie. Everything except Ken Watanabe going into Godzilla's lair was a complete waste of time. The monster fights were really great though and carried the movie.

I saw it Thursday May 30th on IMAX and boy was it worth it. Easily surpassed my expectations and hype. Dougherty is a real patron of the franchise.

Ken and that asian qt were the only characters I liked watching. Everyone else was I could reluctantly tolerate, par that white haired guy and Millie Bobby Brown. They felt like characters ripped from 'Zilla 98.
At least none of them were EOD specialist levels of bad from 2014.

>they called it Ghidorah
>did she said Gonoreah?
this movie managed to be even worse than the 2014 one of course the capeshitters here at Yea Forums like it

Fuck's sake, a few cringey lines by an annoying character the other characters find to be annoying doesn't wipe out all the other merits the film has

>a few

>Gonoreah
>My God
>(Zilla)
>downright insulting fortune cookie line from Watanabe
I can't really think of anything else

Oh right,
>bring him in for a beer
>has he been working out
That annoying fishmouthed guy and the conspiracy boomer don't really count because the characters in the movie it's self think they're annoying

Went into it blind and was so disappointed that Kong didn't show up. Also cinematography went from good to horrid in the blink of an eye. Oh, and stranger things girl is a bad actress that people have for some reason decided to agree that she is a good actress.

No its worse... its much worse

the kid from stranger things screaming for everything and surviving to everything because o plot armor

All of this takes up barely any time at all. I'm not defending it but it doesn't make the movie shit at all. The good things about it outclass this stuff by miles.

had they casted another actor for Stanton I would've been fine with it. I think the actor's delivery of the lines were just a little awkward.
I feel like John Slattery would've been a little more suave playing Stanton

I specially went to a Dolby Atmos screening. They had something like Laser projection, too. But on the day itself the color blue just completely shit the bed. Saw it in all green/yellow and red

sorry to hear that user. i saw it on dolby atmos too and while the speakers were fantastic, the screen was a little lacking compared to imax

On one hand it's a bit shit I got the first experience ruined. On the other hand, it's a once in a lifetime thing to witness, and the movie was still good looking and entertaining

I thought it was pretty good but it could have been so much better

the movie was once again dragged by a pointless, boring and staright up cringey human drama plotline, with some fights in between, who were so dark and with questioanble camera direction to properly enjoy it, the only good thing this movie had was the score

>My only regret is not watching this on an IMAX screen
Dont be, it doesn't even fit all the way, the edges are just black. It has better sound but it the rest wasnt filmed for IMAX

The score really was excellent

I don't remember the last time a score was so exciting, maybe Pirates of the Caribbean.

This. Based Countdown Gojibro
