After Swank cleans her hair she ends up with the same haircut and style as Daughter, probably to make a subtle point of her becoming the girl's new mother figure. Mother is clearly just willing to give daughter the benefit of the doubt. If she fails, mother will just wipe the slate clean and start again. Only that robot body was destroyed, she can get more in there if she needs to and the place is likely rigged with monitoring equipment she can still access. It would make no sense for her not to give daughter the opportunity as her entire plan revolved around eventually leading to that.

Was it just me or did anyone else think the other survivors in the mines that Swank's character talked about were all kids from the bunker that escaped or were thrown out? The movie never said so, but it kind of felt implied. Then again, Mother was shown to have killed the "failed" children, so I don't know.

Yeah it's smaller and looks like it incorporates more plastic than the previous version of Atlas, presumably because a robot that you want to run and jump around like human beings is something you want to weigh roughly the same as human beings, if it weighed several hundred pounds it would be much more difficult to make it agile. You can see off to the left that the Atlas 1 is much bigger, probably closer to seven feet tall.

About an hour right now, I'd imagine that will significantly improve over time because usually you can make the power consuming systems a good bit more efficient with some optimization. I'd actually imagine that the most power hungry part of Atlas would be the computer running it's programs, and not it's actuators. On top of that I imagine the battery could be significantly upscaled too.
