It wasn't long after that multiple loyalist legions were getting holocausted on Istvaan so warning the emps as fast as possible and without possible interception was important.
4. The Emperor's life is nothing but suffering and duty and he expects his sons to be as selfless or at least to understand why the Emperor's message was important. He absolutely couldn't allow Emps worship to take root because the whole point of the imperial truth is to starve chaos since mankind's thoughts would be unhindered by superstition and emotion. Lorgar was also fanatical and sentimental so half measures wouldn't have impressed upon him this warning.
5. He got to fuck over Dorn's defences so he was satisfied.
