Paul Rudd begs fans to campaign for Ant-Man 3 >Marvel might have seven mystery MCU movies on their slate dated through 2022, but Paul Rudd seems to have some serious concerns that an Ant-Man 3 will be one of them. In fact, when asked about a planned Ant-Man sequel, he recently suggested fans campaign the "top brass" at Marvel and Disney to try to make it a reality.
Speaking to Yahoo!, Rudd simply responded "I don't know" when asked if Ant-Man would get to headline a third solo movie. "You need to make a call to the top brass and start a campaign to make it happen," he said.
Ant-Man 2's entire premise was solely based on that last 5 minutes of Ant-Man 1 with him going into quantum realm and then coming back. The villain was dogshit (inb4 waifufags) and everything was fine by the end instead of actually going a diff route. Would've been interesting to see Janet as a completely different person after spending so many years in the quantum realm or killing off Ghost. Also, Sonny Burch was a boring character

It probably has to do with the MCU abandoning most of the previous franchises and the Ant-Man movies being there only to fill in the necessary plot points about the quantum realm and now he's useless and the movies weren't beloved enough like Guardians of the Galaxy to keep going
normalfags like it just fine which is why both movies had very good legs. the problem are fans. they don't rush to see it, so it opens considerably less then overhyped properties. so by the time normalfags start to extend its legs, it's already well behind big openers that crumble after the opening. But blame Marvel for always dumping Ant Man movies as palate cleaner instead of making them events like BP and CM. you can't initiate a big opening if everything about marketing screams yeha we don't really care, not the priority, no political gain from giving it a proper boost.

while I agree that solo AM's disadvantage was that he wasn't in Avengers movies, I don't think that EG will help it 2-3 years from now. Unless they make another big team up movie with AM in a big role and then release AM3.

I love the character but it seems to me that the property is more suited for Disney + streaming than theatrical. When your capeshit makes only 623M globally on almost 200M budget despite IW tie-in, while Freddie Mercury makes over 900M with 50M budget, you know something didn't go right.
