I wonder why then the 3 eyed raven is now wanting a master of war

i never thought that the reddit ending normies have been wanting for a decade would end up being better than what we got

the book or the targaryen civil war?

at least she died with her dick in tact

he won't fucking stop burning people alive

The book where both of their character arcs are about struggling to be good rulers

Self indulgence I guess

I still need to watch this, I have it sitting here.

WHY DO YOU DO THIS

Attached: sometimes-duty-is-the-death-of-love-1558461722.jpg (780x439, 37K)

i have a feeling they will both rule the seven kingdoms but at different times, Dany will rule after going mad or accidentally blowing up kl or manipulated by bloodraven or some shit, rule but tragically go mad, jon will kill her, rule for a time and abdicate and exile himself and he will put bran on the throne. Based of off what the show did.

>Can someone tell me what the point of A Dance with Dragons was if neither Jon nor Dany end up ruling?
To subvert your expectations.

It's strange that the series is about Jon and Dany, according to George, but there is no indication that they will even meet in the next book (if it ever comes out). Is Jon supposed to meet his long lost aunt, fall in love with her, kill her and then live with the Wildlings for the rest of his life? In the span of one book? No wonder George hasn't finished the series.

The filename is funny, because the show frames Jon killing Dany as doing his duty in spite of love. Jon literally could have had love and performed his duty, but he was turned into such a bitch in season 8 to not make that possible.

>Jon in the books has weird sexual thoughts about Arya.

Anyone else disappointed you will never meet a girl who turns out to be your aunt who wants to rule the world with you?

Damn, Dany sets a high bar.

>ignoring his duty to his gf/queen/aunt/targ family

No!

Jon almost got Dany killed via Varys and Jon acts like it's a bad thing when she kills him

Is it at all likely that Jon/Dany will even be a thing in the books? My impressions of the book characters makes me not think so but it's been a few years since a reread.

Jon/Dany in the show always felt like something to appeal to the plebs, a romance between the male and female leads for everyone to coo over.

TRY GETTING A MASTER OF RAPE NOW YOU FUCKING STUPID BASTARD!

No, the books heavily foreshadow Jon and Daenerys being a thing. People call it fanservice in the show, but it really wasn't. Dany's visions in the House of the Undying point to Jon. Both Jon and Dany have dreams about a shifting shadow. Both Jon and Dany feel alone despite being with their lovers. Jon and Dany's stories parallel each other. A wolf howls when near Dany will Jon dies.

Jon/Dany being a thing is as confirmed as Hodor or R+L=J.

Season 6 made Dany overpowered and had Cersei take the throne with zero opposition. It was next to impossible to hit the same ending beats without artificially stretching the conflict in the south. GRRM's ending sounds like it sucks, too, but at least fAegon makes more sense as the antagonist for Dany.

reasons the lannisters win the Wot5K
>Robb Stark is a massive retard and sends theon home
>Robb Stark is a massive retard and marries Jeyne westerling after promising to marry a frey AND Wander Frey takes it in the worst possible way
>Balon crowns himself king and ransacks the north for no good reason
>Robb stark is massive retard and beheads Rickard Karstark
>Stannis and Renly waste time fighting each other and then Renly gets killed by a ghost
>the Tyrells and the Lannisters manage to get an alliance together just in time to defeat Stannis
>the Boltons and the Freys betray Robb Stark

All these things exccept the last two are completly out of Tywins control. The meme that Tywin is some genius strategist needs to die. He wasn't a bad one and made the best out of each situation, but he also got incredibly lucky.

Attached: Tywin_Lannister.jpg (348x500, 31K)

This user is tired. Show him to his chambers.

Robb broke his marriage contract, his retard mother released Jaime, and Renly was killed by a deus ex machina. Tywin got insanely lucky.

>GRRM's ending sounds like it sucks
I legit have no idea how Bran is going to be king in the last two books.

youtu.be/1G8QDAfsl5s

If catelyn wasn't a complete tard then:
Arya would have been reunited with her family by the hound
both tyrion AND jaime would have been stark captives

If robb wasn't so reckless then
he would've kept theon and had no issues back north
he would've maintained the frey alliance

if both of these happens I can't see Tywin winning. Riverlands rebellions hitting the Westermen + Vale probably entering the war would have ended things, Reach support or no reach support.

Also when Dany lands in Dorne they're in a 2 front war.

Tywin got LUCKY.

The real redpill is that Joffrey executing Ned Stark enabled most of this to happen and eventually removed a severe threat to the Throne (vale-riverlands-north alliance). He really was the true king.

The books will probably actually have the apocalypse go down before the Others are killed, with no stupid kill-the-leader-and-they-all vanish shtick. So instead of it being laughable that there's no one left in the show, it'll actually make sense that there's so few left alive because 99% died fighting a long war, and then they figure they might as well be lead by the guy who can look through weir tree history.

wrong pic dude

Attached: valonquar.jpg (1200x750, 62K)

So I don't get something, if Jon wasn't into Dany conquering the world with him why didn't he tell her:

"I love you but I don't want to do this anymore, we have fought death, we have fought the people who killed our family, you have won the throne and you have me, lets stop."

Instead of his idiotic last lines to her.

>GRRM's ending sounds like it sucks,
There is no ending the books aren't coming out

I wish we could get the real Long Night for the show. Say a year of winter under the rule of the white walkers. Jon & Bran will have to lead a 'resistance' against the white walkers along with the surviving humans after their last forces shattered during the battle of the Trident 2.0. Dany have to go to Asshai for some soul searching or gaining new power. Not sure how you will put mad Dany arc there. Maybe completely discard it or perhaps after defeating the white walkers, Daenerys for some reason become crueler or more ruthless.

But Dany still has to burn down King's Landing and Jon has to kill her afterwards, which is why the King Bran ending sucks. The only other way I see the White Walker and Dany plots tying up is if she gets Nissa Nissa'd, which is also lame as fuck.

King Bran sucks. Anybody who chooses to follow a 10-year-old with no claim to the throne, is a retard.

Jon didn't really love her and he didn't want responsibility, he just wanted to be a hero

Jon was supposed to love her, but the writing was so bad in season 8 that the audience is given little evidence that he did. D&D turned Jon into a bitch to make Mad Queen Dany possible, but they didn't care that they undermined the final conflict between the two by doing so.

There's no reason Dany has to do that shit after the war, that's just the type of thing D&D would change up without realising it matters in the books. She might do it before anyone has time to clue her in on the Others. Maybe she actually does get seduced by Euron and lead down the wrong path, like some people think the visions are showing.

>with no claim to the throne
That's not a problem when anyone with a claim to the throne are fucking dead because 99% of humanity in Westeros got wiped out. At that point the dude who can tell you intimate details about anything you've done in front of a weir wood tree would seem like a solid choice, the avatar of the Old Gods come back to save you from the Others and return everyone to the Old Faith and shit like that.

I found it difficult for show-Jaime to have a good reason to kill Cersei post-season 6. If he lets her blowing up the sept and still loyally follow her, I'd say he will forgive her for anything. The only possible choice left is for Jaime to just left everything South and stay at Winterfell. Having him somehow arrive on time in KL and ultimately accomplish nothing just sucked.

>That's not a problem when anyone with a claim to the throne are fucking dead because 99% of humanity in Westeros got wiped out.
I don't see how everybody dying and Bran being King just because, qualifies as a "bittersweet ending." You also imply that Jon, who has a better claim, is going to die, but that is most likely not going to happen.

Yeah there was no reason for it to happen except to conform with the leading book theory, based on a different storyline. Other than bookfags, the people mad Jaime didn't kill Cersei are the same ones who clapped when Littlefinger died

Jon's already dead, bro. Revivals don't work like in the show, he'll be a walking corpse who won't father any children. The whole point of Jon's story will be that his claim to the throne is meaningless, even if Bran and Howland confirms it. Having him actually end up sitting it wouldn't be GRRM's style whatsoever.

Jaime ditched Cersei far earlier in the books. If Cersei is going to go Mad Queen and blow up King's Landing with wildfire, Jaime killing her would absolutely be justified.

I never claimed that Jon would sit on the throne, but if Jon and Bran can't have children, and Jon has the better claim, I don't see why everybody would just flock to Bran instead. He's a preteen with vaguely defined powers, and he has no claim to the throne.

Why would anyone even believe in Jon's claim? He's got his brother with magic powers saying he saw Lyanna and Rhaegar marry under a weirwood. That means you either believe in Bran's magic powers, in which case he's the better man, or you don't and he's bullshitting. And then you've got Jon being legitimised by Robb, if that will surfaces, which would only entitle him to the throne of Winterfell.

If Jon rides a dragon, that would give people would be more inclined to believe his claim. Even then, I would choose him over a fucking 10-year-old to rule.

I'm not in anyway doubting that King Bran will happen, but I am saying that it's a shit ending and the defenses for it are shit, too. What is interesting about an omniscient kid ruling everything?

>What is interesting about an omniscient kid ruling everything?
What's interesting about Jon the cliché secret destined king ruling everything?

I don't think Jon is going to rule. I'm just calling Bran out as the bullshit it is.

Just because you don't think it's interesting doesn't make it bullshit. In the show where the election was started off by Grey Worm wanting someone to order him not to kill the Queen-Killer, where Dorne is completely untouched by war, it was bullshit that nobody else took the throne. In an ending where there's a handful of people left alive it makes perfect sense to have the guy in touch with the Gods to lead you. Not the cool guy who you once saw ride a dragon like a totally epic badass.

haha what the hell was the point of this anime-tier shit

lol who the fuck actually thought this was cool

Attached: jnbgdf.png (1179x564, 1014K)

>In an ending where there's a handful of people left alive it makes perfect sense to have the guy in touch with the Gods to lead you.
If there is a handful of people left alive, who fucking gives a shit if there is a King? Bran would reign over a massive, empty continent, and he would have no way to exercise his authority.

There is no reason to be emotionally invested in your view of the ending. The bad guys won. There is no reason to create an elective monarchy in a post-apocalyptic Westeros. There are no kingdoms in your version of the ending. Everybody would be better off going their own way and scrounging for themselves.

>who fucking gives a shit if there is a King?
It's almost as if GRRM wants to say that the game of thrones is a useless endeavour, and after a populace experiences an extinction level even they won't give a shit about whose great grandfather married a king's daughter and therefore the guy should get to tell everyone what to do, but instead look for who's the best to lead them until they're on solid ground again. And then that has a chance to evolve into the election process we saw in the show.

youtu.be/cJBkdxUaY0k

GRRM called his ending "bittersweet." In what universe is a post-apocalyptic ending bittersweet? That's barely one step above the worst ending possible.

Bran's line about Sansa's wedding night, it doesn't mean he thought the rape was beautiful.
It simply shows that he is still a child and doesn't understand the nuances of things like rape and consent. In his mind, Sansa willingly agreed to marry Ramsay - which she DID - and so she also consented to having sex with Ramsay.

Humanity survived the apocalypse, there's no more fucklong winters to kill them off regularly and so they've got even greater chances of rebuilding and moving beyond the state of society they were at, and they no longer give a shit about who should lead them based on blood lines. That's like the definition of bittersweet.

99-fucking-percent of the characters we have spent years being invested in are DEAD. Your ending sucks.

>If Cersei is going to go Mad Queen and blow up King's Landing with wildfire, Jaime killing her would absolutely be justified.
Yes, he should have done so by season 6 finale or season 7 premiere. She didn't try to blow up the city in the finale either. It was all Dany who did it. What's the point of killing Cersei by that point? That will make him a complete idiot who just kill for vengeance which is what Sandor's arc turns out to be. It's the same shit with Stannis, by season 6/7, Jaime is just a completely different character from the book one.

With that being said, him returning to KL for the finale is still a stupid choice.

They gave a fuck about bloodlines and succession for the duration of the entire show. As soon as Dany dies, for no given reason they suddenly stop caring.
The only reason I can think of is that Jon was locked up and Greyworm wouldn't let him become king.
So naturally, Greyworm was okay with Jon's half-brother-cousin-whatever become king.

The only way for 'the apocalypse' ending somehow become 'bittersweet' is if most of our characters live through it and recover. Sure kill half of the 'less' important ones, but keep the major players alive until the very end.

I can't believe Davos & Mellysanders lets her get away with it. It's almost as bad as Davos forgiving Tyrion and quipping casually with him in S7.

He said he was sorry for what happened to her in winterfell
He said she looked beautiful in her dress

REMINDER

If it was an sctual fair fight and Arya didnt have her Sue armour, Brienne would have won instantly with the first blow

Attached: 1558871201514.jpg (976x1105, 611K)

Bran being an omniscient rape connoisseur is still funny as hell though.

Attached: MerynSansa.jpg (1280x720, 54K)

99% of the populace dying doesn't mean that everyone except one character we've been following has to die. Most of the ones we've been following have no better reason to tell everyone how to rebuild than the guy touched by the Old Gods. So Bran ends up "king", which just means that he's the one telling everyone how to rebuild everything because he can access the weirnet and get blueprints for shit. Like if only one guy had access to Google.

The show is just shit writing.

Where would you rather drop the show?

Attached: BetterFinale.jpg (1236x2119, 394K)

>how to rebuild everything because he can access the weirnet and get blueprints for shit.
Why didn't just made him hand of the king or master of whisperer then?

>okay boys, I can tell you exactly how to rebuild the world and build some new magic castles while we're at it, here let me show you
>yeah that's cool and all, but we're not going to listen to you. Tell the king and we'll do what he says.
Why wouldn't you cut out the middle-man?

Why do people need him to tell them how to rebuild? Did all the competent people die in your shit ending? Why should the audience care if almost everybody dies anyway? You don't know how to write an ending.

I would have made Podrick King. Would have been cute

>Sansa is the smartest person I've ever met

Is Arya suggesting that Sansa is smarter than Tywin Lannister?

>You don't know how to write an ending.
The only ending you know how to write is "Jon the Destined King sits the throne and everyone's happy. :DD", because you've read it so many fucking times.

>It's almost as bad as Davos forgiving Tyrion and quipping casually with him in S7.
That makes sense with his character though, he understands Tyrion was defending the city and his sons were casualties of that, it wasn't personal.

>killed by a midge while on the toilet
>smart

>Rewatch S2
>'Cool-Grandpa' Tywin basically use her as poison tester and later going to hand her over to be raped/killed/both by the Mountain.
I don't think Arya has fond memory about the creepy old man who practically give the command to butcher her family and left her in the hands of the Mountain.

>The only ending you know how to write is "Jon the Destined King sits the throne and everyone's happy. :DD", because you've read it so many fucking times
I don't think Jon is going to rule and never did. That doesn't change the fact that your post-apocalyptic ending is complete shit.

In my ending, Robin of the Vale would have become king.

You see, Tyrion would propose Bran.
And then Robin would stand up and say "nay, I will not have a cripple rule over me. Make me king instead, or else the Vale army will kill you all."

You see, the Vale is the only place that still has an intact army so they pretty much have all the power

So who's going to end up ruling, since you're so set on someone having to rule?

>This fucking guy manage to outlive Robert, Ned, Littlefinger, Tywin, Robb, Oberyn, the Mountain, the Night King, Blackfish, Daenerys and majority of population of KL

Why did he even bother with that shit? Leaving a member of his army behind to do what, exactly? If it was a trap it could have made sense. See if there's any crow forces behind his army, with the Umber boy alerting him about their presence if they come looking. But nothing happened.

You're the one who is dead set on claiming that 99% of the population dies and that Bran being elected King makes sense. I'm not delusional enough to deny that Bran will rule, but I believe it's still a shit ending. Your interpretation of the ending is even shittier, because there is no reason to be invested in the series if almost everybody dies in the end. That's not at all a bittersweet ending; it's a consolation prize.

What is Maryn Trant thinking in this scene

>there's no reason to be invested in a series if there isn't a happy ending
You're retarded. How many characters so far have had happy endings instead of exiting the story by death? There's Bronn taking it easy in his castle and that's pretty much it. Yet you expect that way of writing will somehow change for the finale?

That's a strawman argument, faggot. Your ending is nihilistic and you haven't provided a single reason why the audience should care about who is king, when 99% of the population is dead anyway.

Strawman, strawman.

WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME JON

will stannis get a good ending?

>a single reason why the audience should care about who is king
NOBODY SHOULD CARE. THAT'S GRRM'S WHOLE FUCKING POINT. THE GAME OF THRONES IS FUTILE IDIOCY.

He won't burn his daughter to death at least.

anyone who thinks he's dying in the books is a brainlet
grrm is going to kill off harry the chad first thing in winds

Interesting.

Let us compare

Old straight white male TYWIN - KIlled by his own son shits himself, his entire family dies, Tyrion is last Lannister. His legacy and house are all destroyed because of his dumbness. Seems like a dumbass. COMPLETE FAILURE.

Young girl SANSA - Erases House Bolton, wins back her home Winterfell, Kills JOffrey. Kills Ramsay. Outplays Littlefinger and becomes best player. Makes Dany go mad with jealousy. Gets Northern independence. Becomes Queen. WINNER.

Seems like SMART Sansa the WOMAN was much smarter than white male NUMBSKULL Tywin.

Of course tiny-dicked white males here will seethe at this, but GRRM is a feminist who hates Trump so it will be the same in the books also.

the last season was the laziest shit i've ever seen, what a shit show.

the only decent episode was the battle against the white walkers, but even that had its cringe moments. the dothraki charging in by themselves just to die made me want to turn it off.

>the only decent episode was the battle against the white walkers
no that was garbage too
everything about it

s4

>Too old

I had sex 15 times as a result of this post.

on second thought, you're right. i just wanted to make myself feel better for watching it.

His only mistake was wedding Sansa off to the Boltons in the first place.

It's okay bro, most of them survived.

ALL HAIL THE KING WHO CARED!

Attached: The King Who Cared.jpg (600x782, 72K)

Why didn't he just give up the throne to Renly if he cared so much?

true

but the Dothraki are most effective when they ride in as cavalry and rape people, that is the most useful time to use them

if they sat around inside the gates and fought people would be bitching too

>j-jon...why? *cough*

Did he go too far here?

Attached: 1560120400612.jpg (985x479, 23K)

>if they sat around inside the gates
They could have had an entire season revolving around the political manoeuvring needed to convince the Dothraki to kill all their horses to feed the people in the castle, and to keep them from picking fights or fucking off back home because it's too cold. Instead they were just a nameless horde tool for Dany.

aaggghh......

Attached: edmure on point.gif (500x159, 3.96M)

>the only decent episode was the battle against the white walkers
No, that episode was horrendous from the very start. A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms was good, Winterfell was mediocre, and everything else was terrible.

i have to say, my opinion on the ironborn changed a lot after seeing how worthless that trying even is in this universe. all those episodes, and even sansa survived. countless actual good characters gone. it's taking salt wives and exploring the world with my bros for me.

No it wouldn't, no way people don't consider Bran's powers demonic and wrong. He's from a different religion, few people have met or geard of him and seeing the past does not make you a good leader

I still don’t get it, he loved her. Was he possessed by the chair for a second and that’s why the dragon melted it?

this scene was so bad. probably the most important scene in season 7 and they failed it miserably. literally 0 chemistry and 0 tension. just two robots talking to each other without any emotions. the script was so bad. this was the moment i realized something went wrong and they don't care anymore. the story went to shit long time ago but this, this was the point when the quality of everything else just dropped down the cliff

>this is good and works well
>Dany conquers Slaver's Bay and wants to take Westeros
>this is bad and works out badly, WAR IS BAD AND NEVER JUSTIFIED OR GOOD, WHY CAN'T PEOPLE JUST GET ALONG
What did George mean by this?

There is a video or interview I think where he says he doesn't see how any intelligent person can believe in God or something like that. But yeah, atheist

tyrion is such a little piece of shit in the books

>>this is good and works well
In what way? Just the fact that they're still ruling there centuries later?

>following tragic death of lead actress Emilia Clarke, HBO has announced that they will be cancelling the popular series, which just ended it's sixth season

How is the show remembered in this timeline?

Attached: 1558684480066.jpg (1600x1299, 165K)

Why would she want to burn a mall?

Of course he does
It's just poetic that S4 was the last good season
Then came the abomination that was S5 with the assassination of Stannis, the horror that was Dorne and the awfulness that was Mereen
And Mereen is already one of the most boring parts in the books, but they manage to make that even worse, with moments such as "Save me Grey worm!"

The only good Starks were killed off at the begging and that is part of the tragedy.
Even though Jon is a Targaryen he holds the nobility of his step dad and in a sense he is hold the nobility of both lines. He should have been the next king.

Because she sided with the winning side before it was cool. The show made a very clear point of it while she was scolding the other lords idk how you missed it.

>Giving Renly the throne
>Caring for the pealm and its people
Choose one.

he is right you know

It was a lot more colourful and well decorated
Look at the Kingsguard armor in S1-3 and S4 onward
The first three seasons they look ornate, and maybe impractical but still like actual armour
S4 onward they look like sheet metal that can barely protect you and they look dull as shit

It was the only feasible way the Lannister bastard shits could've been deposed.

There’s gonna be war. Fire and blood. Fight night. Westeros vs essos. The three eyed raven vs the fire queen.

Or Renly was such a cockmongling faggot and just helped his brother
I mean that he allowed Loras stabbing him for years is fine, but fucking over his older brother like that
It's not as if Stannis gave Renly the Gregor Clegane treatment

Nothing Bran does makes sense. Why did he make Tyrion hand when he completely fucked up as Dany’s hand? Why did he appoint Bronn as master of coin? Why did he appoint Brienne as Kingsguard when the last king she was Kingsguard for died horribly while she was in the room? Why would you appoint a master of war when you live in a feuds society where militaries are controlled by local lords, and the position itself was a joke created by Cersei to keep Kevan out of her business?

Lol

Because when a WMD is gone rogue it's useful to keep tabs on that shit

Tyrells had bad blood with Stannis I don't think Renly could've convinced them to back Stannis for no gain even if he wanted to.

>when the last king she was Kingsguard for died horribly while she was in the room?
Lmao I hadn't even thought of this. Because nobody in Westeros actually believed it was a shadow-baby, just some random assassin or Brienne herself. Lol.

tris botley is such a good dude and asha is retarded for not marrying him as soon as she asked

anyone read the kingkiller chronicles? i'm listening to the audiobook and its got to be the most boringest shit ever. i'm not even sure what im listening to. im at chapter 17 and nothings happened and the world is some wizard world with a university and hes talking about his mom. i do not understand why people think this is the next game of thrones. i dont even know how they would make a tv show on this

>Tyrells had bad blood with Stannis
Why? Because he held out at Storm's End?
Mace is a twat, but there is absolutely no reason for him to have grievances with Stannis, Stannis didn't kill Tyrell's armies whatsoever

Stannis does hold the grudge I'm pretty sure but regardless the main thing is his wife (who would then be Queen) is a Florent. And of course they have nothing to gain like they did with Renly/Margaery.

I was gonna try that in the future. I’m going through Wheel of Time atm. It also is kinda slow too, but it’s comfy.

Everyone loves them, wants them to st ass y in power, and yes, still in power all these years later. You can't imagine how many Starkfags say Starks ruled for 8,000 years compared to the Targaryens who ruled for 300 and that that shows they're better and more fit

I thought it was ok...but its an adult harry potter. Not game of thrones at all

Yeah but Bran probably knows it was the shadow baby to be fair

Only incels disagree with Jon's choice here

Realistically speaking, is shit like this partly to blame for the drop in quality in later seasons?

Attached: 5443.png (987x768, 670K)

Top cute

>"Sauron is a badly written villain because he is evil because he is evil"
>"Aragorn is a badly written king because we're supposed to take the writer's word for how perfect his rule is"

>makes Dany's villain motivation "lul she has mad Targ blood"
>makes Bran the perfect king and we're supposed to take his word he won't abuse his power

What a fucking hack

Attached: 3 point 6.jpg (3024x2782, 616K)

that's the show, not the book

>Everyone loves them, wants them to st ass y in power
Not really.
>still in power all these years later
And regardless, how is this a necessarily good thing? "The people who once did war were eventually able to set-up a stable regime." How is this an endorsement of war?

If Dany's the final villain and Bran really becomes king like in the show (as it was confirmed they will), I don't see a way to do these things any differently without the same implications. What is he going to do, add an epilogue that says Bran ruled perfectly for hundreds of years and had impeccable tax policies? Say that Dany wasn't mad but did it of her own volition despite the fact burning hundreds of thousands of innocents makes her mad by default?

>as it was confirmed they will
he doesnt know

For me, it's the Boltons.

Attached: Based Bastard of Bolton.jpg (1000x750, 273K)

It was a waste of a useable wight
Hell, for all we know had they not staked him to a wall, right as Aryas about to dive-stab the night king, zombie Ned Umber also flies out of nowhere and kills her

>Okay guys check out how meta this is;
>What if it turns out that there's a bittersweet ending where the protagonist gets to live, but can never return to see his portly yet loyal friend Sam again
>AND it turns out that the protagonist's portly yet loyal friend Sam is actually writing all of these characters' exploits in his very own book
>Yeah this is so clever, way better than that hack Tolkien's ending

I'm still pissed off about this blatant plagiarism.

Attached: dfdf.jpg (474x355, 16K)

Partly but Dabib were hacks to begin with, with no talent for television production

Dany is basically already halfway down the villain route in the books, her final chapter is her giving up on trying to rule Mereen peacefully and embracing Fire and Blood. As far as Bran, who knows what it'll be like in the books, I'm not gonna defend it before it even comes out, but anything can happen. It could be an implied bad end with Bran as king.

Actually Tywin was conspiring with Jeyne's grandmother and created chances Robb and jeyne meet. The time they met was perfect because Robb thinks his brothers are dead. So it was pretty genius to send jeyne to Robb after he suffered a wound.

kino drawing, I don't give a shit if it looks to anime for normies I am still fucking pissed everyone dressed in the same dull brown rags in the show

Bran, oh wise one. Seer of all. Knower of the future and the past. How will we restore the Westerosi population, after 90% of our citizens have been killed by the war, by white walkers, and by dragon fire?

Ah, an excellent decision Bran. The Dothraki are indeed known for raping. It will be beautiful.

It's not mad targ blood it's her traumatic life seeing nothing but the worst of humanity and loss and betrayal finally coming to a boiling point

You're half right, but you're a pleb for thinking Robb was wrong, the only real one was sending Theon home but it was even dumber for Theon to do it. You didn't even mention Cat releasing Jaime, and her actions essentially forced his hands with the Karstarks (who were traitors). Jeyne Westerling was unfortunate circumstances and pushed by the Lannisters, Robb did what he had to do, breaking the guest rite is unexpected.

True man true. I knew I had to find the art of it though once I read in the books with Ramsay with his red full helm just seem'd cool.

Is being able to warg into a bird an overpowered ability?
>can literally fly to your enemy easily and peck their eyes out

I'm torn guys help me out here.

If Roose Bolton did literally nothing wrong, does that mean that Ramsay DID do something wrong?

Ramsay causes Roose alot of problems. Roose finds him disgusting and in all honesty can't stand the cunt but he can't do much cos of muh kinslaying.

>Not really
Most of each kingdom loves and supports the Great Houses in charge. You have mountain clans volunteering to fight for Ned's girl and Manderlys conspiring and willing to bend the knee to Stannis to put Rickon in charge

It endorses it because all these people were ruthless successful and ow beloved conquerors but now if you try to conquer you're bad and evil cause war is wrong

Nah that was over the top. Burning innocents and her own city after she won then Nazi parallels and imagery and wanting an everlasting war against the world and even her allies like Dorne. She went from grey to literal dragon Hitler

>Even fucking roose bolton is a better person than jon

Roose should have just not bothered with Ramsay at all similar to what Robert did with Gendry, at least that way Roose won't get murdered and Ramsay probably wouldn't have turned out nuts.

the fuck is this?

>You have mountain clans volunteering to fight for Ned's girl and Manderlys conspiring and willing to bend the knee to Stannis to put Rickon in charge
Sure but that's not because of the people who did all the conquering and subjugating is it? That's all the peacetime work of Ned and others.

Dany and Stannis supporters shouldn't fight.

We all endorse the end that was promised don't we.

Your grace... for now the Sansa fags are the real enemy if we could make peace with the Dany fags...

Attached: davosstannis.jpg (1280x720, 44K)

D&D botched it like they do everything I'm just talking books

roose more or less tried. ramsay would have died as a humble peasant boy if domeric bolton hadn’t deliberately sought him out and got himself killed

He did plan the Jeyne Westerling bid, together with her mother
But I guess you could say instead of being le ebin mastermind, he has great eye for opportunity

Was that explicitely shown in the show?
I know that in the books Ramsay's mother comes to Roose, and Roose almost has them killed when he sees that Ramsay got his eyes

>Actually Tywin was conspiring with Jeyne's grandmother and created chances Robb and jeyne meet
I don't think so. That's way to convenient and convoluted. Sure the mother probably helped set it up and contacted Tywin and made sure Jeyne didn't get pregnant and shit in the meantime, but I seriously doubt he planned the entire thing.

>"gandalf should've stayed dead"
>Brings back jon

I will not make peace with the Danyfags so long as they say claim she is the best character.

Attached: STANNIS.jpg (610x844, 485K)

Look what they did to my girl

Ned and others were only able to do peace shit after someone ruthless killed, executed and raped other Houses and took their lands. But now conquering is bad cause muh bloodshed, muh broken man

Attached: LzJDPpH_d.jpg (640x957, 66K)

Because fuck the people of Slaver's Bay its like trying to rule a middle eastern shithole without terror... you just can't do it because they think you are weak.

Dany REALLY REALLY REALLY tried to rule in a benevolent Anglo-Saxon manner and to compromise with former slavers and be merciful but they responded to her bending over backwards to be accomodating by fucking her over at every turn.

So when she comes back she is going to follow Daario's suggestion of burning the lot of the former Slavers.

She's not the best, she's the cutest
she's the best on s8

Attached: NUCLEAR.webm (1920x1080, 2.57M)

I seriously don't get your argument. So because centuries ago some guys did a bunch of warring and conquering their descendants being liked by most of the people they rule justifies all the warring and conquering? That just doesn't follow.

Only for a woman.

But we wanted the end that was promised, Dany would not rule in the end she would end the series as the medieval tradwife Donna Reed she always dreamed of being but was never possible for her.

>justifies all the warring and conquering
That's pretty much how it seems in the books and the show and George's own statements about Alexander the Great, up until it's someone else like the Targaryens and Dany doing any conquering then it's bad and can only lead to bad things

Really everything is Catelyn's fault
>Insists on Ned going South
>Takes Tyrion prisoner, starting the war
>Tells Ned he can trust Littlefinger
>sets Jamie free, leading to Karstark killing the Lannister boys and Robb killing Karstark (costing him a huge part of his army)
>Arranges the Robb-Frey marriage pact, when there were better options (Edmure, Rickon, Theon, hell even Brynden...)

Well in the books I don't see Dany dying the same way at all or where killing her doesn't actually warrant a real dud they do the right thing from the reader's perspective and the perspective of the characters themselves. Grey. Though tb, I hate that George is gonna play her straight as a villain and origin story for one when the real world and all the shit he likes to reference is greyer than that and someone like Dany would succeed irl and could be debated for or against. George is selling out and going Disney, guarantee it

Books are never coming out

What's up with the Stannis faggotry?
He died seasons ago like a cuck

Take seat, uncel

>"gandalf should've stayed dead"

Did he really say that?

>Arranges the Robb-Frey marriage pact, when there were better options (Edmure, Rickon, Theon, hell even Brynden...)
who says walder would've settled for anything less?

Yes. Because Gandalf had a great death then came back better than before

Lmao, if GURM really said that Gandalf should've stayed dead he really should stop talking about LotR.

Don't forget Tyrion was basically the only thing keeping Cersei from losing the capital in its entirety to revolt and Stannis. Tywin was lucky Bronn was in that tavern otherwise he loses the war

Just listened to ASOS audiobook for the first time in 10 years and jesus god the show butchered Stannis.

The chapter where he offers to legitimize Jon is incredible. It was Stannis' idea to bring the wildlings south of the wall. It was his idea to man the castles on the wall. It was his idea to focus on the Others instead of petty squabbles.

The show fucked Stannis hard.

They were both butchered.

STANNIS! STANNIS KING!
DAENERYS! DAENERYS QUEEN!

Attached: whatweorderjpeg.jpg (839x768, 150K)

Why did the Seven Kingdoms accept a blatant Stark coup? Are Darkstar, Radmure, Based Robin, and the rest planning a rebellion in secret?

No, he burns his great uncle (who also his hand) after sending a peace letter to tywin after the loss in blackwater bay, it's funny because in the show I think they burn axell florent who is one of the biggest worshipers of rhlor and gladly helped stannis burning his brother.

The usurper Brandon
The usurper Sansa
The usurper Dabid

Attached: usurpers.gif (600x327, 3.77M)

Because the end of the show was awful, also it went downhill ever since Stannis was butchered.

The End that was Promised was actually far more realistic then what actually happened. The Bolton's would not have had such a large army compared to Stannis because they didn't have the support of the other Northern houses and Stannis is a better general then either of the Bolton's.

Stannis should win the battle.

Stannis and Daenerys also would have been willing to negotiate in the face of the undead threat given that they both put their duty (them both being the monarchs who care) before themselves.

Daenerys would have initially been icy... but then Stannis could drop the bomb that far from trying to kill her at Robert's order he actually let her and Viserys escape (as Robert suspected and never forgave Stannis for).

This would pave the way for them to agree to a marriage alliance in order to unite Baratheon and Targaryen loyalist in the kingdom against the real threat.

Maybe Renly should have stepped the fuck down as a younger brother would, he was nothing but a Tyrell puppet who tried to marry magerie to robert.

This show is shit and you are all pathetic losers

why did the skip the part with Dany shitting

Because house Stark are good, kind honorable and just people who forgive easy, inspire confidence, hope, loyalty and who kept their eyes on what's truly important all while making friends with members of almost every kingdom.

Aka they're Mary and Gary Sues

>Aka they're Mary and Gary Sues
brainlet

Not Sansa she was always a cunt and became a much bigger Cerseiesque by the end.

Dany up until her sudden character ruination was a good selfless inspiring girl who inspired love and loyalty.

Joffrey and Ramsay did a lot of things wrong but when it came to Sansa they did literally nothing wrong.

They're also actually retarded

do stannisfags even understand the character of stannis? his sword is fake, he is a fraud. is the love because noone liked him when he was a child? "Literally me" etc?

Don't forget edmure being a fucking idiot and attacking tywin before he fell into brynden and robb's trap in the westerlands.

>had no issues back north
What makes you say that

Attached: be-gone-from-5bc161.png (800x407, 290K)

Nigga, are you delusional? Daenerys would never marry Stannis and vice versa. Stannis also has a fucking wife, too.

Stannis is not endgame. He never was meant to make it to the end of the series. I like Stannis and would prefer him over fucking Bran, but let's call a spade a spade here.

This
Ned:
>Ok Cat, they tried to kill our boy, go back north, talk to our bannermen and man Moat Calin in case somthing bad happens, remember that in this city our daughters and I are basically hastages of the lannisters.
Cat
>Lol lets kidnap Tyrion in the riverlands based on the acusations of this conman.
>Ok Tyrion you can leave now.

Stannis' wife was so fanatical she would literally kill herself if Melisandre said the Lord of Light needs Stannis to marry the dragon queen. Problem solved.

Both of them would be quite willing to marry entirely for political reasons (Dany has literally already done this of her own volition in Slaver's Bay) and whatever residual hate Dany might feel for Stannis as the usurpers brother would melt away when he could show that he actually let the Targaryen children escape from Dragonstone (which is literally what Robert very strongly believed).

Reminder that Dany literally and unironically did NOTHING wrong until the plot demanded it and even then she Targed out way less that OG Aegon did on Dorne when they killed one of his sisters. Cersei killed her child, her best friend, and stole her kingdom.

And Littlefinger got the daughter of the Lord of the Riverlands to fall madly in love with him even after calling her by the wrong name. What's your point?

The Assassination of Daenerys Targaryen By The Coward Jon Snow

>Stannis' wife was so fanatical she would literally kill herself if Melisandre said the Lord of Light needs Stannis to marry the dragon queen. Problem solved.
Doesn't mean she will.

A Song of Ice and Fire is about Jon and Daenerys--the last two Targarens left. It's not about a fake Targaryen introduced in later on in the series. It's not about a bastard Targaryen 300 years removed. Daenerys doesn't dream about Stannis. Her visions in the House of the Undying are not about Stannis (and if one believes that the one about the man with blue eyes refers to him, he would be her enemy). GRRM said himself that the story was about Jon and Dany. Bran gets to be King in the end, but the point remains.

Her reenacting Dresden was character assassination.

The only things she did wrong were the following

(both book and show)

1) Should have just killed all the former slavers en masse. She did this in Astapor because they were all John Wayne Gasey child torturers and murderers but was far more merciful elsewhere.

In show

2) Should have followed the plan she originally wanted to do in Westeros...

Burn the Red Keep right away and probably clear an area so she could land troops directly in King's Landing.

Storm the city from the sea (use the dragon to burn the water to clear out any wildfire traps too).

Friends, Redditors, shitposter, lend me your (you)s;
I come to bury Daenerys, not to praise her.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft unadapted from the books;
So let it be with Daenerys. The talented Dabid
Hath told you Daenerys was a tyrant:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Daenerys answer’d it.
Here, under leave of Dabid and the rest–
For Dabid are talented writers;
So are they all, all talented writers–
Come I to speak in Daenerys’s final /got/ general.
She was my waifu, pure and cute to me:
But Dabid says she was a tyrant;
And Dabid are talented writers.

She hath freed many slaves at Slaver's Bay
Whose chains she did break without payment:
Did this in Daenerys seem a tyrant?
When that the poor have cried, Daenerys hath wept:
Tyranny should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Dabid says she was a tyrant;
And Dabid are talented writers.

You all did see that in Winterfell
She was instrumental in the defeat of the Army of the Dead,
For which she asked no recompense: was this tyranny?
Yet Dabid says she was a tyrant;
And, sure, they are.
Talented.
Men.

I speak not to disprove what Dabid wrote,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love her once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to mourn for her?
O reason! thou art fled in favour of subverted expectations,
And characters have lost their development!

Bear with GRRM;
My hopes is in the books there with Daenerys,
And I must wait until they are released to me.

>benevolent Anglo-Saxon manner
Ask every neighbor of the Anglo-Saxons how "benevolent" their rule was. They starved half of Ireland and made it impossible for them to own land. Don't get me started on what they did to the Welsh too.
