What the fuck?
What the fuck?
One is at night and not entirely CGI.
The other one is in broad daylight and entirely CGI
practical effects are lame lol cgi is way better
Chinks
>the real dinosaur they were able to get to make the movie looks more real than the CGI
WOW, I'm so surprised
nothingwrong.jpg
ILM > WETA
Why is Yea Forums full of retards. The top shot is CGI for the t rex. They mixed full cgi with practical of the trex shoulders and up or knee downward, nothing full like that is pratical
>>the real dinosaur they were able to get to make the movie looks more real than the CGI
Why don't they just rent real dinosaurs like they used to?
>calls me retardet
>didn't even read my post
I made it pretty clear, the first one is a real dinosaur and the second one is CGI
jesus dude
>I made it pretty clear, the first one is a real dinosaur and the second one is CGI
Both are CGI
The adult T-Rex they cloned for the movie obviously died by now.
They can't make any more because it didn't listen to its trainer one day and decided to eat someone.
correct, the nighttime setting and rain was there to help blend the early 90's CGI. Since everything in the frame had a blue cast with dark shadows and bright highlights along the edges, it hid the imperfections while tying the whole shot together.
because there are retards who think its CGI, so why spend money on it
where are the feathers.
The first one is CGI too. It's when the T-Rex actually exits the enclosure. The close ups where you don't see the feet on the ground are the Stan Winston animatronic one.
blending practical and cgi > cgi alone
>real set with full practical t-rex
>full cgi trash
Holy fuck dude. He means real as in a living breathing animal.
If you've ever seen jurassic park in hd you know the dinosaurs look like shit
If you guys are wondering why the top looks better than the bottom despite both being CG dinosaurs
The top one is shot in a real set/environment. Therefore, the dinosaur had to be rendered and lit in a way that conforms to the set's lighting. Even though the dinosaur is clearly CG, we still acknowledge in the back of our minds that it's in a real, physical environment so it's more convincing in the end.
The bottom one has a "better" looking dinosaur with higher resolution textures and more up to date animation, but the entire environment in that scene is also CG, especially the volcanic explosions. When everything is CG, then it feels like a video game cinematic/cutscene and less like a movie shot in a studio or constructed set.
Carnosaur was all practical and the effects were garbage.
Hey retard, if you've never seen Jurassic Park or the Lost World in their 4K prints you don't know what the film really looks like
Yeah like Im gonna watch tv on a tiny ass screen, fuck off lmao
>Outsourcing
Jurassic Park shot in 4:3 so the dinosaurs would fill up more of the screen which would add to the sense of scale, they forgot about this for Jurassic World
They look great. Movements are sometimes a bit clunky as you can expect, but the shots are excellent and clever and the movie itself is infinitely better than anything that came after if you ask me. Steven made a masterpiece.
Back in the day, low budget practical effects in movies were mostly on B movies
Jurassic Park is AAA
It actually looks like the old one has a higher resolution texture.
