its just a shit film. nothing much to say about it

If you're not white you won't get it

Brad Pitt represents the tree of life, kinda explains everything

Its a movie about an architect who is depressed and bitter and fucked up and this is because he had a messed up childhood.

That kid should have been played by Idris Elba.

His gay brother kills himself and he relives his childhood. Ends with the resurrection and being reunited with his family in heaven.

The architect was one of the sons right?

hackneyed made fake art

Thanks for the spoilers jackass

ive seen this movie like 20 times and didnt realize he killed himself lmao. I thought he just died

Mom is "Grace" Dad is "Nature"

One man should never have been blessed with so much. Life sucks

They don't say that in the movie but Malick's own guitar playing brother killed himself

It has the most beautiful woman in the world in it at her most beautiful. That's all you need to understand.

>boy kisses Brad's neck

used to watch this with my gf and she would cry at the 'grace' scene and after we broke up she said i was an asshole for trying to gaslight her into being 'grace' while i was 'nature' treating her like shit

she even wrote an article about me in jezabel or one of those feminist blogs

absolutely lol

Sean Penn tries to come to terms with why his brother died and more broadly why he lives in a universe that has suffering, death, and entropy, all of which are indifferent to goodness.

Basically this
