I really liked this movie but I think I was too dumb to understand it

*slings handful of cum at you*

have sex

with the machine

The alien lifeform just genetically mirrors anything it absorbs or comes into contact with. It's not even sentient, it's just instinct. That's really it, there's not much else to get besides the metaphors about cancer and stuff

>The alien lifeform just genetically mirrors anything it absorbs or comes into contact with

So what would happen if you had sex with it?

Ask Poe Dameron

Pseuointellectual trite. The only reason anyone "likes" this movie is the oversaturated colors and "it's just like Lovecraft!"

I have sex wif him

When it pulls the drop of blood out of Portman so that it can make the copy, seems like it's making a conscious decision to do that.

So how did it get there then? By chance? Seems dumb if it’s just instinct.

By an asteroid impact, that's shown in the first five seconds of the film.

Gotcha, So it’s really by chance? Idk it just seemed like it’d be more intelligent since they made a point to say it was changing the world to what it wanted. The whole DNA through a prism thing or whatever was cool when it didn’t make sense to me because it was on an alien level. But now I’m less impressed if it was just random for the sake of random

Reminds me of this

It's instinct, it lures her in and mesmerizes her just like an insect and a pitcher plant. The revelation at the end of the film is that now that it copied two actual sentient people and escaped the shimmer everyone's fucked now. It's one thing to copy crocodiles and plants but now it's actually sentient

fuck your black supervisor while your soldier husband cuts people open in the wild

It obviously wasn't random, the guy who responded is probably dumber than you are judging from his fan theory so I don't know why you would take it seriously.

>random for the sake of random
Think of it more like a natural process

If it already copied one sentient person and escaped why is a second one even a big deal?

I thought the idea was that it didn't matter whether it was Portman or the alien because the shimmer had altered Portman to such a degree that she wasn't "herself" any more anyway.

turn 360 degrees and walk away
