Why is this movie considered a classic? It's fucking trash.

It was the 70's, people didn't expect a whole lot from horror movies back then. Hasn't aged that well but it's a hell of a lot better then that remake a few years ago.
You had to be there man
it's not even considered a classic. the pig's blood scene is just iconic.
The remake wqs actually good. It feels like the same movie just made better

I wish that brian de palma made films out of actually good scripts
Like he's a great dp and can make the most inane plot imaginable interesting, but I wish he would bring his split diopters and steadicam long takes to an actually good story for a change and just do like a normal non-retarded movie
If you put de palma and chabrol in a blender you would get the most kino director of all time.
has anybody ITT seen this yet
it’s all about the horror of undergoing female puberty. i guess men just can’t understand
The movie is basically hard carried by Spacek portraying a horrible awkward and uncomfortable young woman, and the mom being a psychotic post-wall roastie. All the other high school kids suck, and basically the entire plot is worthless until the movie gets redeemed when Carrie has her autism fit at the end
Nah
kino king adaptation. Sadly he became bad once he stoped slurping cough syrup and doing blow. I missed those coke fueled moments that the stuff from Salem's lot up to IT had.
it’s pretty much considered a classic user
If you aren't trolling then you have the absolute worst opinions ever.
