Billions
Shameless
Twin Peaks
Dexter

HBO hasn't had a great show since The Sopranos.

queer as folk

The Wire?
Deadwood?
Game of Thrones?
Westworld?

The first and fourth seasons of Dexter
The first two seasons of Homeland
The first 2.5 seasons of Weeds

there's a trend here though - Showtime is basically incapable of making a consistently great series with a proper ending

Twin Peaks the Return is the greatest TV series ever made

Homeland was pretty good. Also the best version of Lolita is the Showtime version, but I think they just couldn't get any other distributor and it wasn't produced by them.

Wasn't californiacation on showtime? First three seasons of that show were GOAT

at this point all cable channels are equal. between showtime/starz/hbo/cinemax everything that was good has either been canceled or several seasons past its prime and everything upcoming looks like garbage.

Yup showtime and even Starz has had good shows it's just hbo is the bigger name

SMILF

Twin Peaks yes, but fucking what? GOT, The Wire, Deadwood, Westworld(partially), True Detective, The Leftovers, Curb, Barry, Six Feet Under.
Shameless is decent but Dexter is Walking Dead levels of shit and Fuck Billions

kys yourself

twin peaks doesn't count it wasnt originally developed by showtime

but in terms of quality that one and dannemora are up there

Penny Dreadful.

Billions is Schlock Kino. It's right on the line of prestige drama and schlock. It's amazing.

Get the fuck off my board redditor

maybe at first but they get worse because they give their shows too many seasons

City on a hill

What did you think of the finale last eek?

It's some real bizarro world shit. Any other channel would cut these shows down for some dumb reason or another right when they're in their prime. Showtime gives them another 5 seasons when it's clear the original idea has been worked to its end.

>lmao
>kill

>lol

I miss the first 2 seasons of Weeds bros

Californication was great. Honestly think that any show that makes an effort to cast a bunch of actresses and document their boobs is doing God's work. They quit acting and move back home, but for the rest of their life their coworkers at Starbucks can just Google their names and see all kinds of titties back from when they thought stardom was imminent.

WW season 1 was good, then they fumbled it.

This. Homeland S1 was God tier

yeah I agree. But I just started season 4 and he's still doing the same dumb shit but getting in even more trouble for it, it's starting to get annoying. Does it get any better?

californiacation could be the worst show ever made..
>wahhh I’m a tortured artist
>guess I’ll drink this whiskey and oh hey this beautiful girl wants to fuck me

Goes off and on, seems like after the college stuff it's every other season is good but you gotta still watch the bad so the story still makes sense

They funded season 3 of Twin Peaks. So that’s cool

have sex
