Actually what bothers me about it is that Dany's rape was way, way more graphic and nobody seemed to give a fuck about it. Okay I really don't get this, what is the point of Sam getting Ebrose to name the history book A Song of Ice and Fire or George naming the series A Song of Ice and Fire? Ice and Fire feel like they're just tacked on. You could eliminate Dany and her dragons, not that anyone cared about Essos anyway, get rid of the Walkers/Others, change some motivations around and have everything happen the same way. Ice and Fire didn't even really get involved until near the very end and the Walkers/Others didn't make it past Winterfell, Dany only burned King's Landing which you could write off by having Cersei blow it up with Wildfire which would end up destroying the place anyway. What's the fucking point? It's like George was trying to write fantasy, with almost no fantasy involved.

A Song of Ice and Fire was the prophecy that led Rhaegar to elope with Lyanna and have Jon which is what started this whole mess.

The King Bran ending is bullshit even with an extra season thrown in. There is no reason for anybody to want the Starks to rule over all of Westeros like the show depicts. I don't even think the books will be able to pull it off.

Varys existed solely to justify the show's idiotic plot in season 8. Most of what he said was false, and the only reason he thought Dany would burn down King's Landing was because he read the script beforehand.
