recommend me some godzilla kino.
i've only seen the 90's usa version and the 2014 one

I like giant monster capeshit but neither of those things you mentioned are a good measure of quality. Appreciated nonetheless.

I've always been partial to Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964).

Pitch me an original Godzilla movie idea

Attached: IMG_2567.jpg (606x350, 31K)

Godzilla becomes a little Japanese schoolgirl with very large breasts
Hijinks ensue. It has nothing else to do with Godzilla.

You need to watch 1954

The original 1954 movie, then see pic related

A nightmarish Godzilla starts appearing in peoples' dreams around the world. It becomes a global phenomenon, and high-ranking elites are trying to work together to discover what it means and if they can use it as a form of population control. We go into Bilderberg meetings and even more clandestine plotting, with a gothic horror-inspired aesthetic. One breakaway group influenced by new-age thought and CIA experiments into astral projection believe that these visions are real and predict the physical monster appearing on Earth. As they progress down the path of preparing for this supposed cataclysm they become psychotic and start interpreting natural disasters as the creature's appearance. They eventually decide to activate the weapon in Vietnam, as a hurricane is headed towards it, which they believe to be Godzilla. Using powerful contacts in world governments, the breakaway group presents the weapon as a weather-controlling machine and set it up ready to activate as soon as the hurricane hits. Their plan succeeds, and the worst disaster in human history is created, the hurricane's winds spreads the effect of the weapon much farther than expected and much of coastal Vietnam is annihilated, millions die, fish stocks collapse, and the political situation of south east asia is thrown into turmoil as an entire economy is nearly wiped out overnight and surrounding countries are flooded by refugees. The public figures involved take all the blame, some are put on trial, some flee and go into hiding, a few commit suicide.

The ecology of the affected region begins showing bizarre patterns, and an enormous organic mass begins forming off the coast. The film ends with a thunderstorm over Vietnam's coast, what look like claws and petrified animals can be seen on the shore, a glow appears below the water, and Godzilla rises from the sea.

2 hours of unbound destruction, pure and unleashed kaiju kino. The only dialogue is from helpeless people in their last moments. Godzilla sports a massive erection during the whole movie and so do I.

who is that giant woman

The true Godzilla were the friends we made along the way

I, for one, appreciate this big nigga. Enough to remind everyone that there are
>only whoever the fuck knows many days until Godzilla vs Kong

tf is this Lovecraft Godzilla shit ur typing lol

i love godzilla but gamera would kick his ass

shin gojira was really great, why didn't more people watch it? the only thing "bad" about it personally i thought the cgi in the beginning stages looks legit bad and similar to a videogame but as it went on godzilla looked better and the final form is very well done and detailed and i would argue the scariest godzilla yet

I really wish the Funimation release didn't put subtitles over LITERALLY everything.

Shin Godzilla is actual kino, you can really feel the Evangelion influence.
Brainlets will cry about acting and pacing because they're retarded and autistic, ignore them.

I like the idea the user had of Ghidorah in KOTM frozen in the ice influencing people's minds and giving them visions and dreams and hallucinations and talking to them to free him

Take the monster scenes out, which aren't many, and it's a japameme soap opera of nearly two hours. I wanted to like it but... eh.

>chadzilla hogging the umbrella all to himself

whatever floats your boat my man.

are we getting any japanese godzilla in the near future?

A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
Then they both get eaten by Interdimensional Magical Godzilla-chan.

Watch them all in order.
If you not down with that then 1954, 1985, vs Biollante and gmk.

SHARE YOUR GODZILLA & KAJIU WISHLIST!

> KOM & vs Kong are successful enough that Toho allows WB/Legendary to renew the Godzilla license & continue making films.

> A 2D Godzilla animated series set in or as a extension of the Legendary monster-verse is released. It's similar in both artstyle & plot format as the 98's films follow up animated series, with many original monsters being created from scratch. Maybe get Fil Barlow from said 98 animated series back to take part in it.

> The long lost 5th Marc Cerasini novel, Godzilla & the Lost Continent is allowed to be published or is adapted into a comic/graphic novel.

> Barring that, Cerasini is tapped to do new Godzilla novels.

> The Stan Winston Godzilla project that preceded the 98 film's making is adapted into a comic/graphic novel.

> Mukesh Singh draws a Godzilla comic/graphic novel with the same artstyle & level of detail/quality as his Dinosaurs vs Aliens graphic novel.

> The future Godzilla cinematic universe Toho are planning to build in place of ShinG2 creates fresh new monsters & plots and doesn't fall into rehashing Ghidorah, Mothra & MechaG like the heisei era did. We will be getting them in the American Godzilla material coming out soon, they can wait a while to be done in Japan again.

> If Mothra gets a stand alone film, it's a straight up adaption of the early 90s Mothra vs Bagan script, including being set all over Asia & not just Japan.

> Shusuke Kaneko returns to do more sequels to his 90s Gamera trilogy, keeping the same tone, they maintain his design from Gam3, especially the neck/head & they possibly use the tentacled monster from the canceled Gamera reboot proof of concept trailer.

> All Godzilla & Gamera mangas are released in English.

> We get a proper larger budget kajiu oriented Cloverfield sequel. Ignoring the preposterous size of the monster from the end of Paradox.

1950s THEM remake.

I had a idea few months back...
> Period piece set in the very late 1950s.
> Taken seriously with good acting that isn't trying to spoof the period.
> Monsters from tons of 1950s monster movies invade the real world. Their bodies are in black and white to contrast the real world like a inverse of pic related episode of Magic School Bus.
> Effects are mostly practical, they keep very faithful to the original designs BUT make them look more realistically brought to life with modern Stan Winston style/quality craftsmanship.

Pic related is the kinda thing I want to see.

bump...

What the fuck did you just say, son of a bitch? Fuck you, bucko. Don't let me ever catch you round these parts again....PUNK

BUMP...

Godzilla travels the world in search of someone big enough to give him a hug

Lebump...

I actually like this idea a lot.
I imagine the counterparts get freaked out though when a strager reveals secrets about them.

since when is a government attempting to prepare for disaster in any way a soap opera plot? it doesn’t even have that kind of tone at all. half the criticisms of shin are made by brainlets

Not for a specific film but I would like Toho for their upcoming cinematic universe to just continue the Heisei timeline with full grown Jr returning after a 23 year long slumber caused by taking in so much energy from his dad's death.
I would have 2 possible pitches for the surroundings...
(1) Japan has become fairly technologically advanced compared to the rest of the world because they had Futurian tech.
(2) Japan is a poverty stricken wreck because they spent obscene amounts of cash on the giant mechs in the 90s + the destruction caused by the Kajiu.

Following up this timeline would to a extent force them to not rehash Ghidorah, Mecha G, Mothra again and create some new monsters/plots.
Would allow Biollante to return without giving her a different inevitably lesser origin.

I missed the chance to rent this at blockbuster.. maybe I should watch it tonight.
