Do you think we'll ever get a another adaptation? Who would you cast??
a movie adaptation makes no sense unless you have a constant narration, which probably wouldn't work

yes retard, if it was a pedo book it wouldn't get published. it's a good book.
Idris Elba as Humbert and Lolita.
I think there was a remake starring Jeremy Irons, but they chose an actress who looks approximately 26 years old to play the 14 year old Lolita. Daring filmmaking there, Hollywood.
Does he kill Lolita in the end or something? Cleary there's got to be more to it than just a pedo being a pedo.
kristen wiig as humbert
finn wolfhard as lolita
Not all pedos are evil

Lolita will never be successfully adapted. It just doesn’t work without Nabokov’s prose & Humbert’s narration.
The Adrian Lyne version is better than the Kubrick adaptation though, but both of them age & sex Lolita up so much that she no longer resembles the book character, who’s just a plain and bratty child. Neither of them were willing to actually “go there” and eroticize a child through the lens of a hebephile.
The worse thing about it is the thoroughly typical womanshit that the girl does. Change the age up and it's just boring as batshit romance film where a girl has multiple decent options and the main guy has one "option".
Give a girl an opportunity to act and you give her the world.
>Winner of the palms de oeuvre
>Nominated for the BET black of the year award.
No, he's a pedoshitter but at least he tried not to be a piece of shit to her, because he truly loved her to the point of obsession. I always thought it was pretty sad that he wrote the book and said for the lawyer not to publish it until lolita died and even joked about people in the 2000s reading the book for the first time, only for lolita to die in childbirth (not his kid) just a little bit after. I guess that's what happens to pedos
>current year
>Lolita adaptation
yeah, probably not.
>at least he tried not to be a piece of shit to her
except for the whole kidnapping and raping her thing
