Tessa Thompson seems universally hated. The character of Valkyrie is a gorgeous blonde, people love gorgeous blondes, the casting decision on that is insane. Valkyrie is poorly written too, she’s basically a man with tits and doesn’t deserve to be ‘king of Asgard.’

Contingency Plan? Idk. Marvel believes that they can churn up most films now. What they require is, the director can put their own flair on the film, as long as it adheres to the traditional mcu formula. IE references to wider mcu, humour and not too dark. Currently, they intend to leave it to interpretation whether Cap stayed with Peggy in a new branch timeline or not, after writers said so. This contradicts their rules and doesn't make sense, so when the time for an official explanation comes, it will be a new branch timeline. Screening that will be too much of a hassle.

Thanks! Part of the thing that made the MCU succesful was to plan in advance and not rush things, so that they are not flipping for introducing the Xmen is good news, I guess. That would be a DC thing.

As for Larson, my personal take is that her character needs another tweak to make it work. Her movie was fine but she is not on the same level as a character as others. Still has time to grow.
