They were both fantastic and portrayed their nearly identical formulas without feeling like copy/paste scripts. The premises were great, the characters were fun, and they got the chance to have actual finales unlike so many other shows.

Early seasons of psych were great but they eventually stopped with Shawn spazzing out pretending to have visions which I always thought was the highlight of the show and it became more procedural. The coroner was the best.
