Why do people care what other people do with their money?

Technically, yes. If the server goes above and beyond, then yeah, I'll leave a tip. But beyond that, no, it's not my responsibility to boost a waitress/waiter's wage. Look, I know the food industry sucks, and I can sympathize, but I'm there to pay for the prices listed. I don't fuck with people who handle my food either. If something is wrong with my order, I'll politely ask for aid (though thankfully this rarely ever happens).

What pisses me off though are places like Panera Bread asking for tips at checkout. Motherfucker I go to the window myself when my food is ready, you don't do shit except hit buttons on a keypad.
