it's literally a giant negro
Show me on the doll where the bad monster touched you.

So how will he pose a threat to Godzilla ? I mean he's probably strong and smart enough to jump on his head and claw his eyes out or whatever, but Godzilla is amphibian, he can just run to whatever ocean is near and plunge down.
why did they make godzilla a minority in the last film? he's always been white

It's a simulation anyway discussing the logic behind this is for fans only.
Oh man, that reminds me of that MMA video with the guy on the floor refusing to stand up so he could fight the other guy on the floor.
I'm imagining Godzilla neck deep in water waiting for Kong to get in.
If Kong is a titan is he immortal ? And does this explain why Skull Island is a prehistoric jungle teaming with megafauna??? Because kong never went into hibernation?
A chimp is smart but it can't beat a crocodile in a fight any day of the week
so is the King Kong story a different canon of what?
Yes.
big if true
There must be something that increases Kong's size otherwise he won't have a chance.
WTF BIG MONKEY BTFO!
kys
Kong is not a real life gorilla, Godzilla is not a real life lizard and it's unknown how their cognitive abilities compare to one another. Godzilla doesn't need tools like Kong but still has opposable thumbs.
They could just make him fast, or give him super saiyan powers,
And we know Kong’s long-range game is strong with how he handled the choppers in Skull Island.
MONSTER ISLAND
(Formerly Skull Island)
Godzilla literally spits radioactive fire, there's nothing Kong could throw from range that would rival that
Still more profitable than Godzilla has proven to be.
He'll get lightning powers like in the OG film.
No. He's from a whole family of Kongs, but he's the last one left.
He's probably going to be strong a fuck, I'm fully expecting Godzilla to try to step on him / swipe him off with his tail / fall down on him and he'll just block his attack. Then he climbs on his head and chimps out.
So your argument for Godzilla winning is 'He can just run away like a little bitch'?
Oxygen Destroyer.
Well in the last movie Godzilla almost kills Ghidorah because he was smart enough to get him underwater. He's obviously a pragmatic type.
Literally said in the first movie that he's going to grow larger and showed a picture comparing the other fully-grown skull-crawler to kong's fully grown parents, all in skeletal form.
Kong as about the same size as the bit skull-crawler, so he should go up about 250-300% in size.
So Kong needs to keep it short range? Godzilla’s arms aren’t much to contend with, but that tail would fuck an ape up pretty bad.
Sure, but Kong mostly only care about his territory. If Godzilla flees the Island, he'll probably just chalk it up to a win.
Godzilla can probably topples an island given time
Nigger this is King Kong we're talking about, he beat a fucking T-Rex I'm pretty sure a larger version of him can have a fair chance at beating Godzilla
Even if Kong is less powerful than Ghidorah he could be the sort of fighter that is the worst kind for Godzilla.
T-Rexes don’t breathe nuclear fire.
Daily reminder Kong is more popular and more liked among Americans, he's gonna win no doubt
Again like real life combat sports. But it doesn't matter we don't know what's in the script (but it will be leaked way before the premiere). Letting Godzilla win would be a more popular choice but perhaps too obvious to be true sadly.
Just dodge it
I think he's only popular among people who don't watch these movie anyway but are more likely to know who King Kong is. Among actual fans of these movies Godzilla is universally more popular at least since his movies became widely available in the US in the original versions in the last 10 years or so. And it's not difficult to guess why unlike King Kong Godzilla actually has a franchise.
Kong is the obvious underdog and therefore will be the one to win. That's just storytelling 101
There won’t be a winner cause they’ll team up to take down something worse, and Godzilla will leave Skull Island and Kong will go back to eat giant squid.
>he beat a fucking T-Rex
A T-rex the same size as him, Godzilla is 10 times bigger than King Kang
Sadly. Even though both Dougherty and Wingard prefer Godzilla.
>larger version of him
It doesn't matter when he still smaller than Zilla's head alone
Thanks for reminding me that this new Kong version had no dinosaurs to fight. They really had to make him bigger to fight Godzilla.
But they turned him into a bipedal gorilla...
>Among actual fans of these movies Godzilla is universally more popular
Yes but actual fans are a small portion (KOTM's flop showed that), more people want to see Kong.
>And it's not difficult to guess why unlike King Kong Godzilla actually has a franchise.
Because the people behind the King Kong films actually want to make a good movie instead of milking a brand to death. Even the shittiest kong movies have more sincerity than the average Godzilla flick.
Also, a bit of a sidenote but the original King Kong >>>>>>>>>>>> original Godzilla
King Kong elevated film as a medium and brought many technological advancements, Godzilla on the other hand is just a "muh ebil nuclear bomb" weebshit flick that is barely servicable with laughable effects even for the time.
anyone else like that leak(probably fake) where kong kills rodan? it sounded cool desu
They also said he was still an adolescent in Skull Island. Not only will he be much bigger, but he’ll also be smarter, and no matter how big Kong is, any ape is smarter than any reptile.
Objectively shit opinion but you get the reaction if that's what you wanted.
>t. assblasted weeb
He's an apecel
I guess you just can't stop being wrong.
>lightning powers
Godzilla already had dealt with the ultimate lighting powers.
Kong has no chance.
How do you know? You working on the movie or something?
You are the only one wrong here, weeb. It's also funny that you have no argument and just repeat the same point over and over again like the NPC you are
Godzilla is 150 meters tall, King Kong is barely even 30 feet
How do you know? You working on the GvK movie? Or let me guess, your dad has inside information so he leaks it to you to post on Yea Forums?
Dude, there’s past movies in the franchise that we can use as comparisons. How big is Godzilla in King of Monsters? They gave estimates on Kong’s size in Skull Island, and said he’ll be 2.5 to 3 times that size when he reaches maturity.
So what if they gave estimates? They didn't even know about Kong's species until a couple days ago, but you're going to take their word as fact. There could be any number of ways the writers use to make kong as big as zilla.
Will there be a "Martha" equivalent?
He will use weapons like he did against the skull crawlers.
The ‘they’ I’m referring to aren’t the scientists that just discovered him, but the islanders who had lived with his species for thousands of years, and the preserved skeletons of Kong’s parents.
I didn't even start with the arguments you're just full of shit. American Kong had 6 movies. Two were good, two were so so, two were trash. The original was innovative for its time so in this regard it could be called a masterpiece of its kind even if it is a flawed movie (some of the acting) but it has a good pacing. With 34 Godzilla movies you could effortlessly make a list of really good monster movies and the first one is definitely a masterpiece it has a message and delivers it skillfully, no problems with human characters or the flow of the story so I would recommend dropping the Americanized cut just saying. Besides one shot of Godzilla flipping the truck and some close ups the effects work fantastically. Better than in later movies due to black in white, Honda's documentary-like style, dark atmosphere (god-tier score). It's no wonder Honda wasn't sure what to think about continuing the franchise. Crude comparison but it's like making a sequel to The Seventh Seal that is like Bill & Ted. Something just feels out of place but it can be good in its own right.
>have a plethora of giant bug monsters and literal dinosaurs to choose from
>NO WE NEED THE GIANT APE
What was their fucking problem
It's just a movie dude. The writers can say he ate a mushroom that made him super big. Or anything. It's just a movie about giant monsters fighting each other. Or do you actually think they're going to make a tiny kong fight a big godzilla? Obviously not.
One hundred percent speculation, but the uniting moment will be like, one of the bad monsters will go to Skull Island and start fucking shit up. Kong will fight the bad monster and then Godzilla when he turns up to fight the bad monster. Godzilla will figure out somehow that Kong is an innocent party in the fight and team up to kill the bad monster. Possible “Martha” moment when Godzilla discovers that Kong likes to eat giant squid too.
I know, I’m just saying there’s past shit we can use to help our speculation, that’s all. And yeah, the team that’s making GvK could totally contradict Skull Island, I wouldn’t be surprised, but we’re not just grasping at straws, you know?
Mothra will break up the fight and convince them to get along for the good of the world
Mothra’s such a good influence.
Oh Godzilla, what language!
Just like Dougherty I'm obsessed with this scene. We actually know what Godzilla thinks it's so rare just like humans communicating with him (I think it only happened in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II unless we count non-verbal agreement in Final Wars). Honda disliked it but we have 55 years of hindsight since then and 65 years in total to get the perspective of the entire franchise. Can't believe it's so long. We're blessed.
Zilla’s way more interesting when he’s a rational creature.
>You came to the wrong neighborhood apelet
Apes are always treated like shit in films. Especially poor Caesar.
Godzilla isn't a zoner, he wrecks in CQC.
He's slow and cumberson, though. Kong has speed and agility on top of having sapian intelligence. It could be an interesting fight if done right.
How can he do CQC with stumpy arms?
IT'S NOT LIGHTNING! THEY'RE GRAVITY BEAMS REEEEEEEEEEE
his arms are jacked and not that stubby
I'm afraid they're gonna try to cut costs and make it into a cheaper movie and make the action scenes shorter.
>It could be an interesting fight if done right.
All the fuckin setup and the decades of people wanting this shit, it had better be done right.
