can we talk about this show?
Billions
To save trillions.
Fuck no.
wat
Gotta spend money to make money pal. First rule of economics.
It stopped being good Season 3 episode 1. Season 2 was absolute kino though.
>can we
I don't know, user. CAN you?
with money in his pockets any fool can do business
fuck off season 4 was a huge pile of shit and massive disappointment
the show wasnt serious from the beginning but the last 2 seasons became like a parody of it self
>famous chef/restaurant cameo
>popculture reference jokes everywhere
>rich people cameo
>i played 4D chess the whole time and was just pretending
>dude alcohol lmao
the 3 minute commercial for mark cubans bagger funpark for grown ups with the two female leads was the nail in the coffin of this shitshow
>inb4 they/them/theirs
But you gotta make sure to spend the money that's in those pockets, in order to make money. Hence the rule.
>the last 2 seasons became like a parody of it self
this is true but, when i was getting disppointed the show took a good twist with wendy learning about her mistake
also why things always end up right with axe? he never had to pay the price for his actions.
I agree. I really don't enjoy seeing Giamatti have his balls whipped either. I will never be able to see John Adams the same way. Fuck Taylor, Fuck Maphee, fuck everyone and their stupid rich people problems I dont give a fuck
>also why things always end up right with axe? he never had to pay the price for his actions.
absolutely this, he lost his cunt wife and was threatened for some episodes by shitty malkovich, except that he did nothing but winning since season 1
I barely see how he benefitted from working with chuck, except his fingerprints from last season
also chuck now going after bobby why?
He got back into full power thanks to axes help and is now blaming everything wrong that happened including his shitty marriage failing on based bobby, which is just enforcing drama to keep this stupid show running
My dad wanted me to watch this show with him, I’ve explained to him probably 5 times that shorting stock isn’t against the law but he’s just gonna believe whatever the fuck he wants at this point in his life’s I guess
Season 2 Episode 11 was the absolute GOAT
How the whole icejuice scam unfolds with the last scene of Chuck on the bed seemingly crying and the twist that he was actually laughing because it was all a setup was priceless.
>also chuck now going after bobby why?
because he doesn't want to be his employee
also axe interfiered in chucks marriage
>I barely see how he benefitted from working with chuck, except his fingerprints from last season
what about the russian
>So, a negro woman and a xer start investment fund...
>,,,and the guy who in the first season BTFOs Ivy League school grads with his knowledge is afraid of them. So HE BRINGS THEM BACK, hehehehe
>And now a word to our sponsors: MANGRATE. What is MANGRATE you ask?The cast iron grate that I'd like to hit this show runners on the head with!
It's gotten pretty trashy this year, but honestly, it's good schlock, and not in a bad way. It's well shot, entertaining and fast paced. I'm not watching it for Mad Men or Sopranos Tier drama, I'm watching it for Wealth Porn. Succession is the superior Rich People Drama, but Billions is like the actually good SUmmer Blockbuster version of it.
yea I watched it a bit and it was mediocre. Not great, not terrible.
>Wealth Porn
yea I was thinking about it and the appeal of this show is that it's basically wealth porn and justice porn rolled into one.
Pretty much. It's just a fun show to consume. It's not schlock like CW or Capeshit, so it's not junk food. It's also not high prestige drama with people crying every two scenes, so it's not the 400$ French plate. It's somewhere in the middle. Not exactly a home cooked meal, but more like the trendy restaurant with overpriced meals who still taste pretty darn good.
>food analogy
Eh, it fits with the show.
>dude, AC/DC
>dude, Starship fucking Troopers
yes, it lost quality over time
At the end of the last season I thought there was nothing left to talk about.
and in this last seson finale they used the same narrative resources again.
Is this show worth watching? Is there a good stopping point before it gets bad.
>inb4 they/them/theirs
I could let everything else about this slide but WHY in the fuck would xir/xer/xar enemies, the people who want xer head on a spike, use xer preferred pronouns, especially in private with their friends and associates? If this show had any realism left, Axelrod would have been calling it "she" the moment it left, especially to its face.
*ruins your tvshow*
do you think your dad believes that the phorensics in CSI are real?
i'ts just entertainment.
I always wondered this. Calling "them" she after once using the pronouns would be massively disrespectful. Seems weird that everyone at Axe hates them yet still is careful not to misgender them.
Its hilarious considering the fact anyone who ever took any of that seriously are an even bigger laughing stock than ever before.
So instead of people dying the drama is people loosing a shit ton of money? Other than lawfully stupid getting fucked up the ass where is the next season going to go?
it's because the character warps reality around itself to make everyone adhere to the author's politics
I'd honestly say it's worth watching. It's fun and doesn't feel like wasted time.
