Every series was fucking awesome. I thought when I saw episode 1 that it was going to be rather bleh like In-Betweeners but everything from Episode 2 of series 1 to the end was fucking brilliant. What else is there to watch aside from This is England, Bad Education or Shameless?
Nothing else is really like skins. It was a nice mix of comedy, drama and was really cool how each episode followed a different character and had different music throughout. It really made the series stand out as its own thing.
It's hard to find American shows that do that. Skins, This is England (show) and just about every 44-minute episode British show feels like a series of movies. Shameless was the closest to it and maybe early OITNB.
Nope, same writers. They just wanted to give us a peek of a few of the best characters as adults. Like the first user said there really is nothing like skins. I’m pretty sure it was a big deal in the UK when it came out because it captured life as a bristolian teenager pretty well in the mid-2000s.

S1 and 2 were fantastic, S3 and 4 were decent but flawed and rushed, S5 was poor and S6 was such fucking trash it killed the series forever and wasn't even worth a wrap up episode in your pic related
good franchise overall though, the first few are so good they make the bad ones worth enduring

I actually enjoyed Series 5 and 6 a lot, Franky pissed me off most of the time but it was interesting still and ended with a better climax than Series 4 did. Series 3 and 4 were good literally until the last episode because they tacked that bullshit in at the last minute and didn't do anything to make it satisfying like the second to last episode made us
desu I half wish Tony, Frankie, Katie and Mini were in there to make it last a little bit longer, but it was overall satisfying.

I rewatch S1 & S2 every few months. There's nothing like media that creates such perfect characters you get attached & have to go back to relive their experiences even when you know they won't change. Effy's S7 episodes are based as well.
yeah i liked it a lot more than i thought i would. series 6 at least was a much better ending than 4. there's no way i could have finished it if it wasn't for mini, alo and rich though, since frankie was just completely intolerable
1/2 still the best. loved 3 as well though.
Frankie was great with her relationship with Mini, but her bullshit with guys was bullshit. Seeing how it ended with Mattie and Nick was actually sort of nice though.
it's funny how much people shat on it back in 2007, for being such a hedonistic depiction of teenagers and shit. no-one gave it any credit beyond that, when really it was great drama with great characters.
it felt like it was creating a big conversation. nowadays any potential equivalent would just go completely unnoticed, wouldn't feel like a cultural event or anything.
i've forgotten a lot of the details of it but yeah it's her bullshit with matty and that luke cunt that i couldn't stand. i really warmed to nick as well, actually.

It was a decent show but Will pissed me off too much. I liked the two that went onto White Gold though.
That sort of bugged me because I actually wanted to see them together, but Sid kept wasting opportunities, and the actor probably didn't care for it.
