aren't they supposed to be in middle school? this looks worse when 25 year olds trying to look 18

Wow, I didn't think this was popular enough to get a movie. I really enjoyed the anime even though it was memed to shit on Yea Forums

to be fair, the brunette is like 16 irl. I think

its top 10 for every pseudo-intellectual asswipe that watches anime

I had no idea. Nobody liked it when it aired.

i guess. but its still bretty good lad.

Both of them are cute

im honestly worried about how they'll cram the whole story into one movie

I figure they'll at least go to the attempted immolation.

I really liked the manga

can't be worse that the shitty rotoscoped ugliest anime ever

yea just like the show, but the footage shows his future wife

take that back nigger

me too user, me too...

you know it's true

ive seen worse. watch the show tho

fucking "anime" was insufferable with that fucking art style, this looks better already.

Was the rotoscope anime not enough

it was a good show my niggy

not until we get a season two

Attached: 1559506163724.jpg (1024x617, 165K)

Cant' be worse than the anime casting, still won't surpass the manga.

Attached: vXVpaIz.jpg (1084x1511, 184K)

It was good yes, but it would have been infinitely better with any other artstyle.

ending almost made me cry desu

So, torrent when? 2021?

Don't deny the OP was kino

I think the style suited it. it made it look more realistic and serious

The casting looks wise is fine but this looks unbelievably shit. All the dark subtext of the manga taken out and replaced by autistic nip overacting. Perfect and a huge improvement for Yea Forums trannies who can jerk off to pretending they are Sawa though

It just uglyfied everything, you can treat serious themes even with goddamn moe.

Not taking a piss about the story, the manga is great... It's just they did a big mistake with that kind of rotoscope.
Only one who knows how make it to work is Masaaki Yuasa,he's the only one with soul nowdays in anime

It was disgusting, Oshiimi literally had the the studio do that aberration cause he didn't want an anime adaptation but Kodansha forced him so he got back at them

am I the only one that liked the uncanny rotoscope style? it was nice to see ugly people in that kind of setting instead of everyone looking perfect.

so was the outro

6 months after showing. Japanese don't have camrips

fucking people full of civility

sauce??

Attached: 1559184581178.jpg (119x125, 2K)

because he knew that if it was made into an anime otakus would REEE and want it to be remade into some lgiht-hearted oreimo type shit, which is exactly what happened

me too bro :)

the balls of that guy. Wonder what he thinks about this live action film then...

The japanese are incapable of making good movies and all the butthurt weebs responding with movies they think are good will just prove my point.

he retweeted the tweet about the movie. so he must sort of like it? or maybe hes contractually obligated to talk about it

Looks like the author had another manga adapted into live action last year too

>The manga centers on Shino ƌshima, a shy high school freshman who has difficulty speaking with people, and who constantly has a low opinion of herself and can't fit in to her environment. Through a strange encounter, she gets to know Kayo, her music-loving but tone deaf classmate, and they begin hanging out with each other. Oshimi based the manga on his personal experiences.
>Oshimi based the manga on his personal experiences.
>they are both girls
uuhhhh.....

He made Kodansha lose a bunch of money on the animation. They'll think about it twice next time.

Who is Hirokazu Koreeda, you pleb

I-is the movie out?

I watched it for you. It's meandering garbage. Every character was annoying too

im still tryna find a way to watch that movie. looks like what aku no hana should have been (at least fron what we can see from the trailer)

I read it years ago, it was ok for what I remember.

Although 'Drifting Net Cafe' was already made into a show. i hope it gets remade into new a show or movie.

the movie honestly looks better than what the manga was

>16 years wihtout anime version
>the closest thing was Nyanbo! box cat thing because muh figurines
This is gonna be the japanese Calvin & Hobbes case

>Action Comics
Oshiimi should've stayed on Futabasha instead of moving to Kodansha
