early seasons of trailer park boys are super comfy, they really (unintentionally) nailed the "shitty documentary shot on a shoestring budget" look that makes it feel real

These were the 2 shows that immediately came to mind. What is it about them that is so comfy? Its because they are both shows with mysterious plots, settings, and lore that dont matter at all but are a smokescreen to mask that the show is heavily based on exploring the characters. And the characters are largely very well written.

Other big and great shows have plots that actually matter to the show. Therefore less comfy.

there's nothing comfier than mad men, no show comes close in the re-watchability stakes. Improves every time.

absolute state of this board. peak comfiness was achieved in the 1995 adaption of pride & prejudice. no other show has nailed the based 1810s atmosphere as well as bongs did with this. it's so comfy it's endlessly rewatchable
