I personally would be all for a Hobbit remake where they have a focus on Shire life for Bilbo where he feels bored and unfulfilled doing the same thing everyday and then Gandalf finally shows up. Then at the end of the Hobbit, Bilbo goes back and acts different from his adventure and causes a ruckus among the shirefolk to show that he has changed from his adventure.

Some producers thought the draw of the LotR trilogy was the action, because people talked as such. They failed to realize audiences are comprised mainly of retards who don't actually know what they want, and the real reason the movies did so well was because of the inherent comfiness, as well as the underlying mystery of the world.
