>Anime sucks
You got a release date for that, I can't find it anywhere?

Why are you on an anime website if you think anime sucks?

I watched all of this and regret it. It was thoroughly mediocre and I had forgotten that it existed.

It's the best anime of 2018 desu

Not even in the top 10. It strongly reminded me of a similar but much better show from the previous year, Princess Principal. I suggest you watch it if you liked Release the Spyce.

What makes it good? I want an answer other than cute girls, because virtually all anime has them. That's no longer a selling point.

Then everything sucks.

Japanese things can't be wannabe Japanese.

I would also recommend PP over RTS.

>cute girls
>no longer a selling point

Is there yuri?

Yes. When nearly every damn show has them, it alone is no longer a hook to reel you in. You need something else to accentuate it: like cute girls with lesbian undertones or over tones; or cute girls surviving a zombie apocalypse

You're right, it surpasses the top 10 and leaves them in the dust, I liked Princess Principal too actually, in fact there was a whole bunch of good stuff last year, though I enjoy a load of diverse genres myself so I can't claim any as great except for Spyce.

It has cute girls in it.

If you're a yurifag then yes, if not, then probably not.

Little Witch Academia was another one that was yuri if you're /u/ and wasn't if you're not which was slightly less generic and more entertaining than RTS.

It's also one of those shows that's hard to judge a consensus from, I get a ton of mixed signals from it and I can only assume it has a lot of "old good new bad" faggots talking about it, I remember the OVA back in 2012/13 being really enjoyable, and had that adventurous feeling to it.

Friendship > yuri btw, can't stand those depraved perverts.

Would you be interested in a show with lots of topless men in it?

>Would you be interested

Not them but yes

Ok what are you interested in?

I just said
I'm not that user but I would be interested in topless men.
Keep up

Where did he say anything to indicate that he's a pedo?

What's the difference?

You make me sick

Why wouldn't it be?

I kind of agree, she makes a nice wildcard, I liked the Moryo woman too actually.

homosexuality is disgusting

So you have no arguments against yuri anime then.

Goemon is the strongest

yuri is just a phase, they'll end marrying a salaryman after high school and be a housewife with 2 kids. Yuri isn't real get over it.

Wrong.

That depends on the story.

>Wrong.
That's not how it works, this is my thread so I'm always right in it. I watched an ep of that and dropped it for no reason but that mechanical cowgirl is certainly intriguing, is it worth picking up again?

Attached: 1531037471948.jpg (1280x720, 324K)

I do, the presence of homosexuality automatically diminishes the over-all show.

Yes, it's great.

>I watched an ep of that and dropped it for no reason but that mechanical cowgirl is certainly intriguing, is it worth picking up again?
I think you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't watch it. The premise is silly for sure but the characters are great and it had an extremely satisfying ending

Japanese society is so closed about homosexuality, they just reduce it as high school phase because "It's just a kids thing". homosexuals during old age is not well seeing by anybody, and put as a degenerate of the worst kind (Except BL which is degenerate but has a fanbase for older male x young male pairing if they are handsome).

That's not where yuri manga/anime comes from, and almost all romance stories in manga/anime take place in school anyway. May as well say that the Japanese think that heterosexual romance is a school phase.

>If you're a yurifag then yes, if not, then probably not.
Good enough for me, fren.

So does your mother when I put my cock near her mouth.

When is Season 2 out?

I like that double finisher.

I think that anime is at it's best when it's got some silliness in it so to me that's a plus, they usually end up as my favourites, it's also a god damn treat for a short series to have a satisfying ending, it helps that it's an anniversary project too, gives them a bit of leeway to write an actual ending that isn't "read the manga to find out more".

you know that the ban was because of the image and not the content of the post? but nice try

Release the Spyce was a pretty big letdown. I was excited by the almost-entire female cast, including the buff chicks as even the mook villains (not just the one enforcer) and all that jazz, but it trickled out as the series went on. I just want cute chicks beating the living shit out of each other, why is that so hard for anime to have in full force nowadays.

RTS will join the eternal pile of S2 never anime

There was a mobile game tie-in but the anime story is self-contained. It's a shame that the anime didn't do as well as it should have sales-wise, it really deserved better

Attached: file.jpg (1280x720, 362K)

I loved it, evidently, but I get what you mean it did kind of lose steam, for me it's because I don't think it did a good job at tying the side stuff (like Theresia/Hatsume and side missions) into the main Tsukikage vs Moryo plot, it kinda lost focus until Mei went turncoat.

I'm used to the things I like not catching fire, at least the light novel series for pic related got more sales, and it's still going.

Well I mean, it's evident from the get go that Release the Spyce was meant to be more of a FOTM anime. It plays out more like a Showa Toku than the serialized plot you would expect a 1-season only show to have. It's a given that engagement could be low later on, as while it was a lot better at balancing things than other purposefully flash-in-the-pan shows like Flip Flappers, it inherently couldn't keep things as tight. That being said, it still did well by having a fun cast, decent animation, and so on.

My complaint is specifically on the number of violent women. The first episode started strong with a bunch of ripped as fuck muscle chicks trying to beat the living shit out of schoolgirls, but the show only went down in that regard as it went on (albeit slowly). That specifically is what I'm saying trickled out, not the show metaphorically losing steam.

I really liked the soundtrack

That show fucking blows and I'm glad it is being promptly forgotten
