Leaving aside Michael Jackson's unhealthy interest in young boys (Note: I am not saying he was necessarily a child molestor but however you would describe his interest in young boys it was definitely NOT healthy, either for him or for the boys), Prince has the upper hand as an incredibly talented musician (in the top 5 guitarists of history and arguably at one time THE best) Oscar winner, and a more mature, diverse catalogue of music. Prince also produced a ton of shit, but tracks like When Doves Fly, 1999 and I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man are all more interesting and sophisticated than anything MJ did. MJs tunes were really solid disco beats bolstered by good used of samples and PHENOMENAL production, and obviously Thriller was a groundbreaking video, but I'm going to claim taking everything into account, Prince is the smart choice
