it was nice
Recently I've been hatewatching Sons of Anarchy and now I want to rewatch this too. Charlie's face and walking style comes into my dreams
The only issue I have with him is that he plays himself in every movie he's in. He doesn't have much range so it's hard to differentiate him between the characters he plays.
And yes someone should make a gif of his walking style.
First one was phenomenal
second one threw out literally everything that made the first one good and it fucking sucked more than a whore missing 400 dollars
Even Hunnam was fine. The characters are intentionally just anime archetypes that hardly require some great acting.
Too bad John OogaBoogayega ruined every chance of a franchise. Legendary fucked up when they didn't let Del Toro make his sequel. King of Monsters is the true spiritual successor to this.
youtu.be
>instantly gets you hype
The theme song was tremendous
I dunno why Hollywood likes wasting money so much, why didn't they just wait for Del Toro to finish his kino fish sex movie? Goddamn sequel looked like a very very bad Transformers movie.
It's a ripoff of Zimmer's Crysis 2 theme
For any user who's in the know, does anyone know if they actually filmed some of the kaiju scenes irl with costumes? The scene were the tail of Otachi was trying to rip Gypsy Danger's head looked super realistic, like it was filmed with a puppet or something.
> No, we have one more thing left
> *sword activated*
> omae wa mou shindeiru
> for my family in japanese
> le ebin sword swing
That was abit cringe
How so?
The best part was the aussie shitpost mech.
This film and 2014 Godzilla actually got the weight and size while the sequels turned out to be trash.
It's all CG
That's amazing then.
MC and his jap gf were terrible, both in writing and acting. Monsters were kino, though, and I guess kaijufags are accustomed to enduring low-quality human scenes to get to the part where monsters smack each other.
To be fair they knew the general audience's interest in the franchise will fade if they wait any longer. See: Godzilla.
Though the one that we ended up wasn't any better
They weren't bf/gf. Actually, the movie went out of its way to NOT have them get romantically involved and it was such a nice breath of fresh air.
It was totally awesome yeah. When that sword popped out of gipsy danger’s arm and sliced through that pterodactyl kaiju I was like FUCK YEAH
I really like the part when Tendo revealed it was a cat 5 kaiju. No screaming, no shouting. Only a short dreaded low reply of cat 5.
It sucks that the slavmech died though.
That was the best part...
I thought I remembered them smooching at the end. Either way, they were weak.
I thought it was alluded to in the final drop scene:
>You know, Mako, all those years I spent living in the past I never really thought about the future... until now. I never did have very good timing.
Then they kissed at the end.
I just saw the movie again when an user recommended the Jaegerbomb cut, the Cherno Alpha scene still breaks my heart.
They just hugged.
My bad. I thought the fanedit just removed it. I guess Riley really was just thinking about future in general.
I wish Pacific Rim Uprising never happened.
