What did you think of Russian Doll? I'm two episodes in and whilst it's degenerate NYC femcel propaganda, Natasha Lyonne carries it pretty well and I'm enjoying the soundtrack & some of the cinematography
What did you think of Russian Doll? I'm two episodes in and whilst it's degenerate NYC femcel propaganda...
I liked it. The death scenes are fun.
Actually watched the whole season just a couple hours ago. It's a great show which was a little surprising after the first episode since it did have the feel of being too femcel fantasy with the quips and such. Ended up feeling kinda reluctant to continue on after the first episode (which I saw weeks ago) and took the dive finally watching it in its entirety.
Soundtrack was awesome, kinda cozy humor with the insanity of the woman's situation, while having a story that was easy to get absorbed into.
Made me think a little of the Good Place except well written.
It’s stupid
While the premise (wearing thin though it is) is pulled off well, the whole thing just feels way too New York/Jewy/Elitist Lefty to be enjoyable. It has that smug New Yorker "I'm so cynical and matter of fact about everything that I don't have human emotions" thing going on too hard.
It's decent, but I never could get myself to like the protagonist. Pic related was /ourguy/ though
unwatchable tbqh
it's well written for what it is but couldnt finish it because unlikable privileged characters just felt like arseholes
it's one of the only shows i would unironically say gets better as you watch it. Everything with alan, was great
t. gingerbread man
shes supposed to be unlikable and learns shes a piece of shit by the end of the series
It's not just her though. Almost everyone in it evokes that awful Woody Allen type of New Yorker, just updated to be even more elitist. I've spent time in New York. This is a particular kind of New Yorker that hates all of the rest of us. It just sucks to watch this type of character.
RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA
Fucking libs think they can revive the red scare again
>This is a particular kind of New Yorker that hates all of the rest of us
maybe they just hate you user, wonder why
I liked it. Gets more fun when you realize most of the cast is being at least halfway made fun of
Trust me, they hate everyone who isn't them.
Are you ok?
It gets better when they introduce the other guy that keeps dying - also the last two episodes were actually really good
It seemed like it was going to take a cool dark/mysterious turn maybe halfway in, then just completely fucking dropped it and went back to mostly inconsequential episodic narrative for the rest of the show. Really disappointed.
Kino hair
The penultimate episode is dark as fuck though
pointing it out in a meta way doesn't make it good. it's like someone shitting on your face and saying "haha wow this is gonna be hard for you to clean huh, i'm pretty terrible for doing this"
>What did you think of Russian Doll?
100% Netflix original
yeah that got me hyped it was going to pull together shit it'd been hinting at into something bigger, but it didn't do anything with it
It's a show for women I think. I got bored in the first episode and stopped watching.
I was fun
There's always season 2 goyim
>cucked
>mutt
>our guy
yikes
>implying I'll be alive by then
I mean, this does describe most of Yea Forums
maybe life affirming shit is exactly what you need
Got bored a few episodes in and dropped it. Cool soundtrack though
that sounds like Yea Forums to me user
>NYC femcel propaganda, Natasha Lyonne carries it pretty well
That. I was kinda put off by the blatant political message at first, but kept watching. And it was definitely worth it. The humor, the actors, the script, everything was perfectly executed from beginning to end. No useless filler episodes, no unnecessary sub plots, just 8 great episodes. Wasn't bored for one minute and watched it in one sitting.
I'm still not quite sure how her childhood trauma fits in in the time loop story, but this is a minor complaint.
Definitely watch it, highly recommended.
Really liked series but was unsatisfied with final, it felt rushed and bad overall.
then why is the right also yelling neo-marxist everywhere? dont be dumb
It was cool, but it really got away from itself towards the end
way to prove his point
Are you trolling or actually retarded? Do you know what a russian doll is?
Addiction/Recovery Kino. Impressive how well it's written. Only maybe Haunting of Hill house is superior in conveying familial abuse/trauma but that was horror so it's easier.
I liked her from episode 1 tho. She's very self-aware/red pilled about the shit happening around her.
Why did she buy all those watermelons?
Why was the fruit rotting?
Why did the people disappear then come back?
proletariat propaganda piece
When a title really activates almonds
>Sorosflix
No thanks.
