Was he right ?

he's right about tipping but wrong for sacrificing social capital to make a point that nobody cares about

I'm a pig-headed american that thinks that europeans are cucked pussies for spending money just to use public restrooms, but I do agree that tipping culture here is retarded.

They don't tip in Asia and that's good

Imagine tipping somebody for doing their job, it's the reason I avoid visiting amierfat

yes he is right you should tip because the person does an exceptionally good job, not so the kike that owns the place doesn't have to pay his staff.

Correct.

He's right. Now I order takeout always because I don't wanna fork over an additional 15% of my bill for retarded reasons.

>spending money just to use public restrooms
You know those are for tourists, right?

he's ugly and therefore anything he says is invalid

In against tipping simply because of the entitled faggots it turns servers into. I was reading a thread on a website that should not be named and now these serving pricks are angry people don't tip for take out orders. Tipping is meant as an appreciation for service. Not handing me a back.

When will robots replace these scum already?

>out with friend getting some chinese takeout
>he tips 20%
dios mio

>visit America
>all the wait staff are nice, basically do everything but suck your dick
>constantly refill drinks
>food comes out quick
>visit Europe
>waiters are rude, don't even look you in the eyes, they don't care because they're getting paid regardless, take your order and vanish until they deliver your food is ready, no drink refills
I don't mind tipping, I want wagies to worship me and grovel for their tips while getting good service.

For those of you who still haven't had their first job and haven't worked in the service industry, just know most servers take in a ton of money from tips. The game is to try and serve as many people as possible, as most will tip the standard 15% which is more than enough.
Not tipping is a good thing for them to angrily blog about but as long as everyone doesn't do it, it won't make a significant impact on their income.
I myself usually tip 15-20% because I'm not so poor as to get upset about an extra $5

there is no moral fact of the matter about whether one ought or ought not tip, so no one is right
error theory gaang

I would love to visit the US one day just to see how true that is, I would definitely make them grovel for the pennies I give them

based and correct

waiters are paid like shit here
working in a factory is considered way better than working in a restaurant or hotel
the tourism and restauration are run by the scum of the earth

But we live in a society

I was in the middle of the largest cities in each country I visited.
The restrooms I used were most certainly not just for tourists.

imagine having to not only pay extra for your food (taxes), but also pay a tip.
why does such a fucked up system even exist?

Depends, sometimes they're cunts because they expect you to tip anyways, but then you get the satisfaction of giving them no tip, which will most certainly ruin their day (depending on how much you spend).

tips are pooled for the entire restaurant here in Canada so it doesn't matter how many people you personally serve

>actively choosing to work in services
why? id serve myself if i could and do a better job of it than most of the faggots who expect 20% service charges.

It depends. If there is a huge rainstorm or a blizzard outside and they deliver it to me, I feel obligated to give them a good tip because it means that I don't have to drive somewhere myself.

Ironically, imported from Yurope after the Civil War.

But they are. Why would you think the locals use those? They have homes, work places, if they went to a restaurant they use the bathroom there. The tourists are the only ones that spend the whole day outdoors wandering around and needing toilets.

Yeah this.
Though it does go with his character to be argumentative.

There's no need to be upset. Like I said, you choosing to be a pretentious edgelord and not tipping doesn't make any significant difference.
